Leaving Relenora

"So Silver, where should I put my points?" Rachel asked after she finished her meal.

"You didn't distribute them already?" He asked a little confused.

"Didnt I already tell you that I'm yours. I meant it when I said my body, heart, and soul." Looking at him with a grin she replyed.

"How have you distributed them so far?" He asked.

"My Vitality is 25 and my Dexterity is 40." Rachel said to him.

"Why did you distribute them like that initially?" He asked to try and accommodate her own wishes.

"Well I use the rapier so that's why my Dexterity is 40 and I didn't want to get killed easly so I increased my Vitality." Rachel said.

"You dont use magic?" He asked to get more information.

"Never had the knack for it so I just focused on my rapier." Rachel replyed.

"Then I would put it in either Vitality or Dexterity. Both would help us as a group as long as your going to be up front takeing hits or dealing damage." He said after thinking about it.

"Then I'll put them into Vitality so I can protect you two." She said as she finally found a goal to work twords when leveling.

"Then when we get to the Capital we will try to make your gear first so you can protect us better." He said while pondering what crafting class he would need for that.

Hearing him Rachel nodded and got up as the other two were done eating now and they could leave. As they stood to join her they could hear a commotion at the other end of the inn.

"What do you mean the scouts are dead. There was 12 of them." A man's voice could be heard all throughout the inn.

Looking over just like everyone elts they could see 4 fully armoured men sitting at a table and one had his hand slamed against the table in front of him. Deciding to leave before they could get involved, they started twords the door.

Walking over to the stables to grab Nightmare and Zolix they noticed it wasnt just the inn that was packed but the streets were also bustling with people. Walking into the stables they realized that people were haveing to double up their horse's just to accommodate the people ariveing.

Noticeing that Nightmare and Zolix were in the same stall they walked over and got them prepared to travel to the capital.

Giveing Nightmare and Zolix something to eat and attaching their Reins, they were about to leave when a group walked over.

"Hey their Ladys! We had seen you in the inn and were wondering if you wanted to join us. We are about to go to the caves and kill some of those pesky Echo Bats." A man with a longsword on his back said.

"We are clearly not sticking around so we will have to pass." Rachel said while walking Zolix past the group.

"Its alright to stick around for a few days. I'm sure you could find something to occupy yourself with." The man said while winking.

"I could and that something is standing behind me. However we have places to be, so I will have to pass." She said while pointing to Silver.

"You mean that twig." The man looked at Silver and scoffed.

"Well he certainly isnt a twig." Rianna said while giggling as she walked next to Rachel.

Rachel also started to giggle at Rianna's remark as she continued to walk. Walking behind the two girls with Nightmare Silver could see the man was staring at Riachel and Rianna.

As they walked down the street he kept a eye on that group as he didnt like how that man was looking at Rachel or Rianna.

Noticeing that they also went into the stables he was almost certain they were up to something. 'Why would they need horses to go to that Echo Cave.'

Calling over Rianna he told her what he had seen and had her pass it on to Rachel.

As they reached the edge of town Rachel and Silver got on the backs of Zolix and Nightmare respectively before Rianna walked over to try and get on Nightmare.

"Rianna, can you ride with Rachel for now?" He asked.

"You dont want me rideing with you?" Rianna sounded sad as she asked.

"Rachel dosnt have any long range means of combat. I just want to make sure nothing happens on our ride." He replyed to her trying to make her understand.

Noticeing she lowered her head slightly to think he continued to speak trying to sway her.

"It will only be for today as I'm sure we will hit a town and spend a few days there before makeing the rest of the trip to the Capital." Hearing him she turned around to get on Zolix.

"There is a town between here and the capital right?" Rianna asked Rachel as she sat behind her.

"There is a few that we will stop at. The first is a little out of the way but we will stop to resupply before continuing to the ones after that." Rachel said while putting her hand on Rianna's leg.

Rachel lead the way to the capital following a path that goes north. Following behind, Silver didnt stop unless they did.

Although he didnt feel anyone looking at him, he never let down his guard even when they took breaks as he was sure those guys wouldnt give up so easily.

As they continued down the path and hit the 4 hour mark they neared a lake that glistened from the sunlight. Looking at the lake as they went Rianna had something on her mind that she just couldn't shake.

"Do you think Silver is mad at me because of what I said." Rianna asked as she hugged Rachels back.

"Of course not. He told you why he wanted you to ride with me, didnt he. He is just worried about us is all." Rachel refuted to what Rianna said.

"But you know Mana Strings just like I do. You would be fine even if I didnt ride with you." Rianna said.

"That might be true but my Mana Strings arnt as powerful as yours." Rachel stated.

"Besides what if he has to leave Nightmares back. You would only get kicked off and put into danger." Rachel continued.

"Why would he leave Nightmares back?" Rianna asked in surprise.

"Because of the people following us." Rachel said as she looked over her shoulder.

Rachel has had a feeling of being watched for a while now and was wondering why they havnt done anything. Now it was clear that they were waiting for them to get close to the Lake so they had less places to escape too.

Noticeing Rachel look back at him he realized the reason he didnt feel the eyes of the enemy was because they wernt looking at him but the girls.

Takeing a look around he could see four horse's not far behind them with what looks to be the group they met at the stables.

Glad that Rachel looked back he created the strongest Mana Strings he could with both hands before sending them out to two oposit trees that lined the sides of the dirt path they were on.

Sending out the Mana Strings to the trees and watching them wrap around like snakes, he brought his hands together to connect the two Mana Strings quickly.

Keeping a small strand of the Mana Strings that connected to each of the trees He pulled with the added force of the moveing horse, causing the wires to tighten creating a tripwire.

Makeing sure he waited until it was tight so when something snagged on it, it would hold. He finally let go of the tripwire before being pulled back and flung off Nightmare.

As he let the small strand go he considered makeing more but wanted to see what would happen with the first one so he didnt waist mana.

Looking back after a small period of time he could see a horse without a rider following them. 'Looks like it worked.' he thought to himself.

A smile crossed his lips as this meant they would of jumped off their horse or gotten knocked off and for them to chase Rianna or Rachel, it's the least they deserve.

Keeping a eye out just in case they survived he constantly looked behind and to his left and right until they stoped to let the horses take a break.

Rachel and Rianna walked over to talk with him after they talked some amongst themselves.

"Silver I know you didn't intend to kill any of them. I hope you don't let it get to you." Rachel said to him. Thinking about what she had seen she wasn't sure if he knew or not.

"That tripwire killed one of them? I only meant to knock them off their horse's." He replyed.

'Hopefully they were players.' he thought to himself.

Hearing him Rianna walked over and put her arms around his waist and brought him into a hug.

"I just hope you dont start freaking out from killing someone. The initiation quest was to determin if you could kill someone or not but i know yours got cut short." Rachel said trying to gauge if he was ok or not.

"Although I didnt intended to kill any of them I dont have any regrets in doing so. They deserved it for chasing after you two." He said with resolution in his voice.

Hearing him Rachel and Rianna breathed out a sigh of relief. They were both worryed he would panic from killing someone. Sure they had seen him kill Echo Bats but killing a monster is different from killing humans.
