Chapter- 6. Backstabbed

Hukum calls for an urgent meeting with Dilawar, Tinka and Banno where he tells them about giving the party ticket to Ridhima.

Where Dilawar is surprised and advises Hukum to reconsider his decision. Tinka doesn't suppose this could become a serious problem and views it as neutral. Banno questions Hukum's outlook on Ridhima. Hukum clarifies on how Ridhima's significance & support will work in their favour as she is the daughter of 'PM Jaydev Thakur' and at the same time, they can use her as a weapon against Babaji.

Here Bhopa is still doubtful about Ridhima's capacity to persuade Hukum.

Hukum calls Ridhima welcoming her to his party. Although Dilawar, Sonia and Banno are unsure if they could turn the table around by using Ridhima or in her presence either find no other option but to believe in Hukum's conscience and thus congratulate her. Ridhima invites them to Niraladham conveying Babaji's message for the meeting schedule which will be held after the Sangeet Satsang.

During the Sangeet Satsang Hukum tells Babita and Pammi about Ridhima's interest in state elections for which she approached him and he gave the confirmation accordingly.

Babita (chuckles) reacts by saying-

Yeh kaha se aa raha hai..Kya karna kya chahati hai yeh?

Baccho ka khel nahh hai yeh.. Yeh sab karke kya sabit karegi?...aur yeh dono...Baba aur Bhopa saat de rahe hai uska.

Hukum- (replies) Hmm..Jo bhi ho..

Dhyan se Socha jaye, toh sab apne faide ka hai Aur..Iss baar galti ka koi chance nhiye.

Pammi murmurs

( Baba ke nazroon mein mahaan banna chahati hai..aur kya...)

In the discussion, Babaji and Bhopaji speak about letting go of the past while keeping smooth cordial ties in between them and therefore assure full support to Hukum against Sundarlal for bringing Ridhima into the frame whereby talks referring to important matters take place.

Moving forward the next day, Hukum calls Dilawar, Banno, Tinka and Ridhima and announces the constituencies respectively.

Dilawar expresses unhappiness as the largest Constituency has been allotted to Ridhima. While Hukum trying to clear his misunderstandings if any Dilawar speaks-

Bhaisahab... Samaj sakta ho..dono tarah se support chahiye toh, yeh karna hi hoga..par koi baat nhi..ab humara lakhsya kuch aur hai..aur uske liye hum sab apke saat hai.

Meanwhile, Dilawar and Hukum are busy talking, Sonia to Ridhima-

'Ziddi toh tum bachpan se thi..par ab tum bacchi nhi rahi aur nahi yeh elections baccho ka khel. Kya hai tumhare dimaag mein, janna chahati hu mein..batao mujhe.

Ridhima- Aacha, toh thike se pechaan nhi pai ho aap mujhe..toh phir, yeh baat aapko sabke saat pata chalegi

While Ridhima prepares to leave, Banno stops her.

Ridhima- Hmmm..bade dino se notice kar rahe hai, kuch kehena chahati hai aap..... home.

Banno- Choti hoo..aur bahot sari baaton se anjaan bhi..isliye bass aaagh karna chahate hai...Sambhal ke rehene.

Ridhima- (with a smirk)... leaves.

News reached Jaydev already and he is been waiting to meet Ridhima.

Kaushik updates Sundarlal about Hukum regularly visiting Niraladham more than usual which is not a good sign for them and hence wants to have a back-and-forth with Babaji.

Babaji replies that he is just giving a chance to Hukum as he stood requesting his consent but the ball is in the people's court as after all they are to decide the future of the state.

Monty is proud of Pari and her intellect as she managed to convince Hukum and all the more tough Bhopa who had never trusted a female so far.

As her journey of stepping into a political career begins, Monty lessons her about some major points to keep in mind and provides an idea for working on the elections campaign. Bhopa joins them calling her a blessing in disguise and tells her how well she should carry herself while holding such a huge responsibility.

Pari speaks of wanting to meet Jaydev before the election campaign begins and hence takes a flight to her city.

Ridhima is back in Niraladham after a few days. While preparations for the election campaign begin there seems to be an electoral fever all over as well as there lives curiosity in the general masses regarding the next face of the state. While all the parties are trying to put their best in rallies and various road shows, Babaji shows his full support to Hukum and his party through Sangeet Satangs. Therefore people do not doubt that irrespective of whomsoever they choose, Hukum will be the next face of the state.

Sundarlalji is apprehensive and sore and decides to play on his cards.

Finally, the wait is over as Ballot Day arrives. Hukum Singh and his party win the elections by majority. Hukum, Sonia and others feel hopeful.

When Babaji declares Ridhima as the next new face of the state everyone gets dumbfounded while Hukum & Sonia feel double-crossed by Ridhima.

Ridhima becomes the official

'Chief Minister' CM of the state after the Oath ceremony. People are surprised as well as optimistic about witnessing the female authority in power. They appreciate the ' New face' with a hearty welcome.

In the evening after the Sandhya Aarti

Monty, Bhopa and Ridhima meet after a long time since they were busy with elections. Monty thinks highly of Ridhima and feels relaxed. Bhopa too feels eased. They informally thank her by gifting her a luxurious car.

The next day, Jaydev and Jaynandini come to congratulate the newly elected CM (Ridhima). While Ridhima is out for a meeting Bhopa welcomes and congratulates them. Respects and Credits Ridhima. Orders Pammi to prepare snacks & desserts for the guests of honour and asks to inform Babaji. There comes an urgent phone call for which Bhopa takes an excuse. While Jaydev and Jaynandini both are sitting on the terrace.

Jaynandini speaks-

'"Jo kaha, wo kar ke dhikhaya ...Mujhe lagta hai ki, ab Ridhima ko sach bata dena chahiye..bhaiya".

Jaydev- Kya bol rahi ho tum? ...Tumhe pata bhi hai...(is angry) Meine pehele bhi kaha tha tumse.

"Ridhima ko kabhi pata nhi chalna chahiye ke wo Monty ki beti hai".

(Ridhima should never learn that she is Monty's daughter).

Monty coming out of his room towards them listens to their exchange.
