Sitting on the cold, hard wooden stairs leading deeper into the hull of the ship, Mizuki was creating and re-customizing the spell she made back at the inn.
'I had forgotten about the effects of my hat back then. Foolish, I must use every tool at my disposal to grow strong enough to leave this place.'
'I have clothing and a surplus of money in my storage, running out would take a few years considering the size of the crew.'
'For now I need some right hand man to keep them in check. Keeping more than one person in check myself would be a waste of time.'
'The one named Eric took charge the fastest and the rest seem to listen, it also seems they don't fear him from what I'm hearing.'
She looked up towards the sound of talking.
'I'll have a private chat with him later.'
Focusing back on the half-complete magic circle in her hands, Mizuki was carefully inserting a line from the four main elements on the outer rim of the magic circle.
With a silver middle and four sides each representing an element spinning on her palm, Mizuki memorized the construction method just in case it get's destroyed and stood up.
Taking a last glance around the place, Mizuki saw a few skeletons littering the place.
'Sadly no blood to be seen. I should make them clean the place at our next stop.'
Walking up the stairs, spell in hand, a skeleton at the very back of the room moved their finger.
Reaching the main deck and suddenly being the middle of attention, with all eyes on her, Mizuki only spared the chatting crew a glance and walked up the stairs to the helm of the ship.
The ship that held similarity to a galleon was almost ready to set sail. The sails were lowered and almost all modifications have been installed exept for the wheel and the captains quarters.
Reaching out to the wheel and giving it a light spin, then stopping it and setting it straight.
Mizuki didn't bother just sticking the spell onto the wheel, she crouched down, making the spell float next to the wheel just in case her memory was off, which was unlikely, and started to burn the magic circle onto the middle of the wheel with a small blade of fire that she made on her finger tip.
When it's implementation was partly complete, Mizuki checked it over and then made a quick water spell to wash it over with a pressurized stream to get rid of the soot and to make it a bit more detailed.
Standing up, Mizuki looked towards the crew and called Eric over.
"Yes, captain?"
"Bring the helm modification, it may be too difficult for you to install."
"Understood. But what will we do with the modification for your quarters?"
"I didn't say anything about me installing two modifications."
'Well I thought you wanted privacy.'
"Yes ma'am."
Walking down from the helm, Eric called out to two others to help him bring the wheel modification while signaling the others to install the one ment for the captain's room.
Bringing it up to the helm only for Mizuki to completely ignore them and start installing it without even granting them a glance.
Maryse gritted her teeth at the thought of listening to this arrogant child for any longer and left the helm, leaving Eric and Salon standing there waiting for further instructions.
Before Maryse could reach the bow of the ship, Mizuki talked in a quiet tone of voice that could still be heard by any party on this ship.
"Mutiny is futile Maryse."
Taking a glance back with fear evident in her eyes she saw Mizuki finish installing the modification and look her straight in the eye from above.
"Escape is even less likely." was heard, still in that monotone voice.
Maryse turned around and started walking. A quiet click of a tongue could be heard from the bow of the ship while sweat beaded down the back of Maryse's neck as she went to take a seat at a nearby elevated corner.
Looking behind her to see Eric and Salon standing there looking almost petrified, Mizuki turned towards the nearby beach.
"Go help with the last modification, they're having trouble with it, afterwards get ready to set sail. I'll be back in a minute."
Jumping off the ship and landing on the beach, Mizuki ignored how the crew looked at her as if seeing a monster jump almost 50 meters to land on shore without even a drop of water on her.
Using the sound element, she used a specific magic circle, taking inspiration from Margherita.
Sending out a wave of vibrations and seeing the sand go wild, Mizuki took out her gun and aimed.
"I see you."
A man dressed in all black turned off his invisibility and raised his hands.
"How di-"
*Bang*
A pair of legs fell on the sand as Mizuki took one last look around, turned and headed back for her ship. All while pushing her shoulder back in place.
Jumping onto the helm from her ice platform next to the ship, she saw Eric standing there with a questioning gaze.
"I told you to help with the modifications."
"They are complete."
"Then why are you here."
"To ask. Why didn't you let that man explain anything?"
"Because I already knew everything."
Seeing his questioning gaze deepen and eyebrow raise, Mizuki only said a quick order as she started leaving the helm.
"Tell the others where setting sail."
"Where to?"
"I don't care. I'll give you a more accurate location at a later date."
"Then for now I recommend-"
"Just set sail. I'll have a chat with you later."
Leaving towards her quarters Mizuki didn't even spare Eric a glance.
Looking at the retreating back of his now captain, Eric couldn't help but frown.
Entering her quarters and using a water spell to deep clean the walls, ceiling, floor and furniture, she dried everything off and went to rest on her bed.
Laying down she opened her status.
Noticing that she has leveled up quite a few times, Mizuki distributed most of her stat points while checking over her updated status page.

'...The difference in status is too large for only 11 levels.'
Taking another look at how her MP and HP had basically more than trippled, Mizuki frowned slightly.
'If I remember correctly then Margherita had guessed that I was a high-end tier 3 when we last fought. If a high-end tier 3 has the average stats of 1500-3000 depending on what they specialize in, then the current me should be able to deal with early tier 4s. But the sudden large increase in stats doesn't put me at ease.'
She placed her hand on her chin as she thought.
'The most likely explanation would be that my growth has increased by a very, very large amount due to 'my' bloodline.'
'If that is indeed the reason then I need more unique bloodlines if I ever wish to return 'home'.'
Sitting up straight, Mizuki continued her train of thought.
'On the subject of other bloodlines, people with unique circumstances, similar to my own, will most likely have a similar or superior growth.'
Glancing at her skill tab, she was in deep thought.
'But I.. have the option to steal that growth.'
'Just in case, I'll save 5 levels worth of AP when an enemy is too tough to defeat with normal methods.'
'If I remember correctly, each continent is supposed to be guarded by a cardinal beast.'
'A cardinal beast should have some good potential, infact, many rare deep sea creatures should have good potential.'
'So the problem of searching for power on the seas should mostly be solved. The next big problem is information on cross-world travel and space magic.'
'But that may wait for tomorrow. The crew should at least know of a large library.'
'For now... I need to figure out what tools I can use in the future.'
'The skills that I need to make more use out of are.. [Bloodline Infusion], [Synthesize], [Empowered by the Moon], [Eyes Touched by the Moon], [Curious One], [One of a Kind], [Words of the World] and [Ancient Elemental Language].'
'[Bloodline Infusion] I plan on using to it's fullest regardless.'
'[Synthesize] I haven't used since I ended
up on this planet, but could be one of my most useful skills if it also works on skills and the like.'
'[Empowered by the Moon] is basically a passive ability but for it to activate I need to be in moonlight, so I guess I'll rest during day time and stear the ship during night, besides that I don't exactly understand the description of permanently increasing potential, I guess I'll have to look into that at some point. Now, [Eyes Touched by the Moon] is a different beast. Seeing and interacting with mana flow is a passive part of the ability, it was the main way I dealt with espers. The active parts of it are just an upgraded version of [Inspect] that I should have been using till now. Another active part of it is learning. I could learn the movements and arts of any and all swordsmen if I fill some conditions, whatever they might be.'
'[Curious One] and [One of a Kind] are pretty simple, the boost they give and that I'm not using is being able to detect lies and a creation of a unique skill. I don't know what signs people show when lying exept for the telltale ones so I either haven't noticed them or no one has lied to me up till now. Making a unique skill I will place on hold, I might need to use this benefit in a tight situation.'
'[Words of the World] I have basically never used for any sort of combat, besides the description is loose to say the least. The cost of mana is neglected and the effectiveness towards lower and towards the same tier is not stated. I just guess I'll have to experiment with this to find how far it can go.'
'[Ancient Elemental Language] I have no concrete knowledge on, I think. When I first found a way to cast magic, I just stuck some mana in my throat and spoke. I do know that I translated it but why did it turn into a skill? All I use in my spells is words from this language anyway... Maybe it's like some proof that I Can speak it and that I Can use it in my spells.'
'I haven't really seen others use any magic circles so I don't know if the language we use is the same. I'll leave it alone for now and treat it the same as [Words of the World], under experimentation.'
'Okay.'
"Ahhhnn~"
'That should be it for now.'
Mizuki thought with a yawn and turned over in her bed.
Meanwhile, above Mizuki's room as in, on the helm, where most of the crew were taking shifts, a few of the men blushed deeply when they heard their hard*ss captain let out such a voice from beneath the helm of the ship.
