She glanced at Arthur and pouted in frustration. Arthur was very much enjoying her expressions but after remembering about Ciel injured leg he stopped being mean and he too gently crouched in front of Ciel. "Come on what are you waiting for? Just hop on. With your tiny and injured legs, there is no chance that we will cross this forest before dawn" Ciel got furious after listening to his comment and wanted to scold him but decided against it. Good old days

Arthur and Vladis opened their eyes at the same time. Both of them knew what the other was thinking, but no one initiated the conversation. Arthur spoke nothing, but he probed Vladis for his thoughts with his gaze.

Vladis knew what Arthur meant.

He never opposed any decision that was taken by Arthur but this time his heart was against this decision. The moment he thinks about going with Arthur's plan Camy's face would suddenly pop in his mind. Her sweet smile of her childhood. The softness of her grown body, her touch, stirred his heart.

"I know you don't want to drag them in this matter. You want to them be safe, but can they? We still don't know what Brian is plotting and we can't be totally dependent on Rune too. Even if he loves his sister dearly and can save them from this storm, in the end, he still needs to complete his obligations and marry them off. Considering their status, he will surely marry them off to some other councilmen's sons. "Do you believe that I will allow her to marry you?" Arthur spoke with a lazy smile, but the smile didn't reach up to his eyes

Vladis gave him a blank look. Of course, he knew that he won't allow it and that was the reason he was confused about his decision

"Hey, Wait aren't you too sly. Just ditching your friend for your own benefits" Vladis chuckled slyly

Earlier he was still doubtful of Arthur's plan but now it was clear to him. "You sure are something, Arthur"

Arthur just laid on his chair with a smile and shrugged his shoulder.

"So now what?" Vladis probed further.

"For the time being you just enjoy your one-week vacation"

"As you wish my Lord" Vladis then left the study leaving Arthur with a pile of work on his table.

After Vladis left his room Arthur chuckled remembering the time they all have spent in that jungle.

"Good old days sweetie"
