Ceil was tempted to retort but she was just too tired and hungry to do so.

Ceil was sound asleep on the ride home. Arthur was enthralled by the scenic scenery and the beauty beside him, who rested her head on his back and slept soundly, oblivious to the dangers waiting nearby.

His eyes darkened as he remembered the attack on Camy and the attacks on the citizens on the outskirts. He couldn't bear the prospect of the Cecil being attacked instead of Camy.

When they arrived at the palace, Arthur took Ceil to his room in bridal fashion. He pulled over to the side of the road and told the butler to get their dinner ready because they hadn't eaten since the afternoon. Arthur tucked Ceil into bed and retired to his room to freshen up. Ceil had the innocent appearance of a sleeping infant. Her makeup, hair, and outfits were still flawless, making her appear sexy and seductive. Arthur saw her while drying his damp hair with a dry towel after getting out of the tub. He was just starstruck there. His legs were jammed, and his Adam's apple rolled up and down. His trance broke when the butler came in with the dinner. He asked the butler to keep it on the table. The butler did what he was asked. He was quite surprised when he saw Ceil there on Arthur's bed. Arthur never allowed anyone except for his cat Chesire to even sit on his bed and here she was sleeping, nonetheless, he didn't commented and quietly retreated.

Chesire, who was sitting by his bed, was staring at Arthur because he felt neglected lately. Rubbing his head on his knees, he was pleading for Arthur's attention. "How dare you forget your master?" Arthur chuckled as he picked him up.

"Master, it was you who left me because you were busy with your beloved one," Chesire replied, perplexed.

Arthur chuckled as he could see that even his cat was a little mad since he was hell busy due to council's work and the left time, he had was for Ceil.

Ceil awoke groggily and rubbed her eyes, making a sweet face. But Arthur's first words were, "Good evening, Little Cat." Ceil got frightened with the sudden voice and before she could say, "you dozed off in the carriage. Now go get some cash, and we'll eat dinner." Arthur replied.

She wanted to say something, but when she heard her stomach grumbling, she ran out of the room, humiliated and clumsily, to freshen up. Arthur chuckled at her clumsiness and sat on the couch, rubbing behind Chesire's ears as he waited.

Ceil hurriedly changed and went to Arthur's room for dinner. "Umm...," she inquired as she ate her meal. Is it possible for me to see Camy tomorrow, His Majesty? It's been a long time."

"Hmmm"

"Yes, absolutely. I'll accompany you."

"Why?"

"What is his majesty's motivation for accompanying me?"

"Because I have some job at the dispensary, and I can't risk leaving a cat roaming free in my castle when there are so many wild animals."

Even if she was spiteful, she could only endure it. She ate the dinner and walked out of his room.

The butler entered the room and finished cleaning up the dishes and leftovers. Meanwhile, Arthur went to his study after wiping his hands with wet wipes. He still had a lot of work to do.

"Huh? Resel. What are you doing with Knight Vladis and this scholar? You told me you were going to assist him in some research but now you are back and even brought Knight Vladis with you. Can I know why?" Rubin asked with a clenched jaw. He was sweating profusely. He was aware that this library was under the direct jurisdiction of Lord Arthur but it has been so long that someone actually came to visit him and this library.

As for them, I just happen to know this scholar. He is a reliable person and future of Reintsle so I gave him them ride. But it seems like you people are familiar with each other." Vladis spoke seriously.

It was the first-time Resel has seen Vladis speaking so formally. His eyes were smiling but there was some sort of intimidation behind his aura. It was not frightening but one couldn't ignore it.

Mr Rubin bowed his head to give his greetings. "I welcome Knight Vladis. Feel free to look around. You can wait in the guest lounge while I prepare some snacks and drinks. You can tell Resel about the book and she will bring it to you. After all, she has spent her childhood here so she is very familiar with this library and all the books here." He proudly said.

However, he failed to notice the disgust in eyes of Vladis as well as Rune. To brag about captivating their own child inside a cramped library for their entire childhood is not something you can be proud of.

"It's totally fine Mr. Rubin. I will look for the book myself. You don't need to bother as your daughter can assist me." He smiled and looked towards Resel. "Will you Miss?"

Resel turned flustered. It felt like knight Vladis was teasing her. Her maiden heart couldn't handle his charms. While Rune just gritted his teeth in anger.
