"And you just believed him? What if he's dangerous?" Seraphina felt her temples throbbing.
"Dangerous... there's nothing we could do if he was," they replied, shrugging indifferently. "We couldn't stop him; we just went about our business."
This resigned yet truthful answer left Seraphina speechless. The attitude of the Western civilians towards extraordinary beings was peculiar to her—they revered them greatly, yet somehow seemed not to.
"Ah, Boss Fenrir, if you're talking about his identity... I have a clue," said one of the people who had also talked with the black-haired youth.
"Recently, there's been a rumor in the lower city about an adventurer who takes on Executioner commissions for civilians. He's very efficient, only takes his due reward, never extorts anyone, and hasn't done anything untoward."
Seraphina was taken aback. "Is there really such a good person?"
