The press conference.

Lily was the first to arrive at the office complex. She parked her car expertly and waved a thank you to the security men at the park. There were a lot of movements and activities as press men and women were seen about. She walked into the building and headed straight to her office. The newly employed staff welcomed her as she passed them on her way to inspect the conference room that will be used for the press meeting. Satisfied, she went back to her office and relaxed her nerves. Adah and Munah were the next to enter the office and used the stairs. Adah was confident, composed, and as usual, was looking beautiful as ever. She entered her office and sat down while Munah knew how her mood swings stayed with her. He has come to understand Adah and how delicate she is but he also fully knows that in her delicate nature also lies her strength. Adah looked at him, feeling happy for the surgery on his mother was a success. She got this information through a text from the doctor who explained everything in detail to her. She will still be there for about three months for recuperation before any other consideration is made. She knows that she will tell him but it must be at the right time. She heaved and brought out her phone and dialed the number she saw online. As she was on the phone, Mrs. Randolph entered the office with a soft smile and quickly beckoned on Munah who stood up at that instant and left with her. Adah concluded her call and though angry but calmed down when Munah came back to announce that the hall is ready. They walked to the hall, entering the beautiful lit hall, Adah walked straight to the podium. As she came up, Press men and women went into a frenzy as snapshots started clicking endlessly at the lady. Munah noticed that she is a little nervy and prayed silently for composure. She cleared her throat softly and began by first thanking all the various tabloids that are represented. She thanked the Cable news especially for breaking the news and joked about where they got their tip-off from because the news was to be a silent one. She gave an example of when the deal with Palm springs was endorsed, it was a silent achievement that carried no publicity of any sort. She also spoke about the press being too nosy especially when Denson's empire is concerned and begged the press to give the empire some breathing space. The laughter that enveloped the room made her wait for a little and continued when it all died down.

She insisted that the empire may have reached the greatest height of success but as the new chief of the world's leading multinational, many achievements is still on the cards. She agreed that the diversification intended to create a niche for herself paving way for an independent organization that is not in alliance with the empire. With this in mind, The Adah Denson group is now born as an independent entity that will cover areas in telecommunications, agriculture, hospitality construction, and estate management. She also pointed out that the group has a partnership deal with Palm springs and has just acquired some telecommunication companies which is intended to be merged as an entity. She also informed the audience that other plans are ongoing and that the group has entered into negotiations with six mayors and heads of local authorities and communities to acquire lands and properties for Agricultural purposes. She ended the speech by once again thanking every one of them and entertaining their questions. Munah noticed that she has no problems answering the questions that were thrown at her. She made clarifications on the supposed downsizing of the acquired companies. She stressed that there will be an upgrade in service delivery and a cut down on gains if the merger happens or not because the customer is key in every decision that is to be taken. Downsizing according to her will be carried out because of the digital innovation that will be introduced and the meager. She expertly answered some other questions and thanked everyone before departing the podium. It was Lily that came up to clarify other issues and the meeting came to an end.

Munah stood up and left the room with a smile on his face. As he was about to enter his office, Mrs. Randolph appeared with a smile.

"Please can you help me to the car mart? My car seems ready for pick up." She said pleadingly looking at him.

"I will and maybe finishing a thing or two concerning the party." He said and they left. On their way out they sighted Lily still with the press and left the complex together in the Prado V8. They got to the car mart quite late due to the traffic and the car was not yet ready as it has not yet been finished. They promised to finish it the next day after which it will be delivered to her, As they left the car mart Mrs. Randolph suggested that they look for somewhere to relax and discuss the party. Munah decided to take her home. They later found themselves at the bar where they discussed further and Mrs. Randolph promised to make the party quite memorable. They agreed on the number of expected guests and picked a venue. Mrs. Randolph promised to call him so that they can agree on other things as he left her and made his way back to palm springs.

Meanwhile, Adah was quite confused and disheartened after the whole conference was over. She entered her office and sat down, she cannot find Munah anywhere around the complex. Worst still, he is not picking up his phone. She wondered and feared for the worst. As she stood up, Lily entered the office.

"Common Adah, he is not lost. You know that I hate to see you like this." Lily said looking at her face with quite an attention.

"He was to take me home, I promised to spend the rest of the day with him after all these is over." Adah lamented looking at her friend confusedly. Lily smiled fully knowing that Adah's heart has been captured. As they were yet speaking, Adah got a call from the agent she hired online. The agent wants her to come and inspect the property that is all furnished she has chosen to buy. She was not in the right frame of mind but she politely told her to do it alone but should make a video of it and send it to her on the phone which the agent agreed to and hung up after Adah promised to make the payment if she is satisfied with the property and every one of its furnishings. Angry and frustrated, she begged Lily to take her home, and all through the drive to the mansion, she never said a word to her friend. Lily knows Adah like the back of her hands, she knows that Adah is angry, and when angry, it will take only one person to talk to her and that is either her father or any man she is in love with. In this case, the only person that can heal this wound is Munah. Lily is shocked that Adah has started building her world around him. She does not want to intrude in any way but she in the back of her mind believes that he may have gone for some good reasons that may be of Adah's good interest.

Adah sat glued to the seat with anger and confusion all mixed into one as her heart delved into a turmoil of homelessness. She tried to hold back her jealousy because her mind has started thinking wild. She tried to fight off the thoughts that came flooding into it but she cannot. Something tells her that he may be with Mrs. Randolph. Mrs. Randolph was nowhere to be seen immediately after the press release. She just disappeared into thin air. She hated the idea and thought of him with another lady, she even dislike the very thought because she cannot accept anything in this life to share her man with anybody. Lily got to the mansion in good time while Adah walked straight into the house without saying anything to her. She turned the car and drove towards the gate with a lot of concern on her face. Adah should be patient with him, If Adah continues this way towards him, she will put the whole relationship at an abysmal risk which will build pressure and ruin what she is trying to protect. She will call Adah later but before that call is made, Munah must first speak to Adah. Lily turned the car towards Palm springs with delight and thought about how she will spend the night. She has a date but must be careful because she hates patronizing those ladies that she termed prostitutes. She smiled to herself as she recollected how they met and wondered if she is been fair to her girlfriend overseas.
