A Thousand Worlds

A not so average life ends, and a second one begins. A chance to redeem? Nahhhhhh, a chance to live out dreams would be a more apt description! But as with all, a simple man living out his dreams isn't quite the best of the best, nor the most of entertaining. A chat group (a certainly peculiar one) has been thrown into the mix as well. ==== Find extra chapters at: p@treon.com/stoned_face

Tokyo, Japan,

??? POV,

The sun shone brightly over the bustling city, the temperature today was relatively higher and a number of the people going about their days could be seen showing clear signs of fatigue and frustration over it. The noise from automobiles and those that lived in the city only served to enhance the general annoyance felt all over the city this specific day.

Furthermore, the gangs that previously had small presences compared to the yakuza were now going at one another full force, with public conflicts and displays of violence. Naturally, civilians did end up getting caught up in the crossfire some times and as such, unrest was slowly but surely growing.

The matter had of course been brought to the attention of the police but considering the gangs too were armed with both weapons and information, provoking them wasn't a good idea at all.

Those that had tried were quickly dealt with...

In an unsuspecting part of Tokyo, a veritable giant of a man with dark skin, short black hair and a thin moustache could be seen sitting on a chair, comfortably sipping tea from a cup that looked far too small for him. He wasn't tall but, his body itself was large, to the point where one might even mistake him for a person suffering from obesity.

The scene on it's own would be somewhat strange but nothing too much..only, numerous bodies were littered around him, beaten to a bloody pulp but still alive and breathing.

Amidst all this, he sat there with a small smile on his face, "Hiring me as a bounty hunter was a wise decision, Morio." The words addressed the tall Japanese man in a suit sitting in front of him. So much for his build though, 'Morio' slightly trembled, cold sweat running down his forehead.

"Yes, I'm certain it was a good decision as well, Mr. Oliva."

The strongest man in the United States of America, Biscuit Oliva, had been hired to deal with a few escaped prisoners as well as some of the more notorious escaped criminals.

One of the few individuals one should avoid crossing at all costs.

(A/N: Some of the Baki events have been intercrossed and changed so that they may fit in well with the main world plot and flow seamlessly.)

Tokyo, Japan,

Shibuya Ward,

Samuel POV,

A lone teenager walked down one of the many streets of Shibuya, wearing a simple white t-shirt and black jeans. He looked rather attractive, even with his rather simple choice in fashion.

Samuel dragged along his bike as he walked, he couldn't very well leave it at Shouko's right? ..Well.... He could but you get the point anyway. It would be strange and the thing would probably be stolen... Samuel didn't want to have a revenge arc just yet.

"Having a stalker is a rather weird feeling." He smiled casually, speaking out something that was all by means outrageous in a rather pleasant tone, he'd noticed someone following him a while back but stayed put, only tracking the person, or rather, the girl, intrigued.

"Why would I stalk someone?" The voice of the girl in question carried a hint of amusement and overwhelming pride, traits belonging to someone Samuel knew very well.

'It's not stalking if you love the person...?' Echidna lightly mocked the 'stalker'.

"I'm not even going to listen to the explanation, this is stalking, Amou." Samuel raised his hands helplessly, shrugging with an amused smile, this girl was a real enigma when it came to certain things.

"So, do I need to add cripple murder to my list of crimes?" Amou had a rather dark sense of 'humour', if it could be called that.. She was somewhat displeased that Samuel addressed her with her last name.

"Oh please." Samuel waved his hand, dismissing the thought and idea rather quickly, he wasn't sure how many of the words had been jokes... Amou was someone who would do something like that.

"How'd you even find me though?" He asked in mild curiosity, did she have something like a tracker on him? It was strange that he hadn't noticed it yet though.

"...My heart leads me to you.."

"....."

"..."

"Fuck off." Samuel held a hand over his chest, slightly scowling at the words that had left his old friend's mouth, he didn't take well to that kind of stuff.

Amou laughed at his displeasure, his power wasn't the only thing that made him so enticing. These reactions were fairly amusing to witness. "That was too good." She wiped a fake tear from her eye before slightly sighing, "I was actually heading to your home." Amou backwards with her thumb, conveying that she'd just coincidentally run into him.

"Oh yeah, about that...." Was it a wise decision to tell her where they were moving? ... Well, he would do it anyway though.

In the next moment however, the casual atmosphere disappeared as if it had never been there in the first place, "Samuel, fight me seriously just once." Amou.... spoke seriously, closing her eyes as her hand slightly trembled.

A strange and unfamiliar part of her.

One Samuel was surprised to see, thankfully there was no one witnessing their conversation at the moment.

Amou too had set out today with a clear decision and goal in her mind, she would fight him and do her absolute best to completely overwhelm him and if she lost even then, she would.... No, that was for later.

Unlike these harlots and cheap people, Amou had known the teenager standing near for years, the time spent apart didn't quite help in reducing the blatantly obvious feelings she had for him. While Amou wouldn't say it outloud, her heart did start beating faster each moment spent near Samuel.

"Are you sure?" Samuel was quick in noticing that this wasn't an idle request, had it been someone else, he'd ha-.... no, this was a request he couldn't accept. A difficult smile formed across his face as a breeze passed through the area, somewhat ruining Samuel's usually neat hair.

"...Yes." Amou nodded, clenching her fists in an act of defiance, she knew he was slightly looking down on her but she also knew just how much strength the man had, as she looked down on those weaker than her, so did he because she was weaker.

".....I apologise." Samuel turned to walk away, there was no way he could go all out against her. He couldn't allow himself to, she was one of the few people he absolutely could not bring himself to hurt.

"If I hold any significance to you, you'll fight me here, right now."

A conversation that had started on a light casual note had turned into a serious one in a matter of moments. Humans were enigmatic creatures indeed.

'I'm curious as to whether or not your abilities would be genetically transferred.' Echidna was not helping the situation at all... Well, not that she was trying to. The Witch of Greed was getting a fair amount of amusement from this strange encounter.

Samuel, the man who could get most through his appearance and if not, then his wealth, only seemed to attract oddballs who didn't think much of either.

Some distance off from the two teenagers, two men sat atop a building.

"Man, the young heir has some nice looking lady friends." A man in a black suit remarked with a shit eating grin, it was nice to see that the Hayes heir was a man of many talents.

"Well, what did you expect? You seen how the guy looks?" His partner shrugged helplessly, Samuel Hayes was just built differently as compared to normal people.

These two were the security assigned to Samuel.., though, they'd been strictly ordered to refrain from reporting anything Samuel did throughout his day, Ren did want his son to have some semblance of privacy. They were only to report serious incidents which they themselves had to get involved in.
