I'm attracted

She knew she was pretty and knew how to play her cards right making the men who could ignore her charm few but she did not expect her fiancé's friend to fall for her charm so soon.

"I must have heard you wrong," she mumbled.

"No, you did not. I am sexually attracted to you and I desire you," he told her very seriously.

She swallowed and drank a few gulps of water when she could not get used to the new dry sensation in her throat even after drinking water.

She has had so many men try asking her out on dates and stuff with their end goal, her body but none of them have been so direct and even if they were direct, none of them were as direct as he is in a way, she found scarily sincere.

She cleared her throat and regained her composure. For all she knew, this could be a setup and a test. "I am your friend's fiancée and it is very inappropriate for you to talk to me in such a manner," she corrected him as sternly as she could dare to at that moment.

He did not take her word seriously as his cold gaze remained fixed on her. "You should not try to deceive me even if you succeeded in deceiving his mother. You two are not in a real relationship. It is simply contractual and if you are interested in such things, I would draft a contract for us," he replied to her.

She swallowed and looked out of the window. "Contractual relationships matter too," she replied to him firmly as she found his words annoying but she could step out of the car as she wanted.

"Which means you could be a few more if you desire," he told her seriously.

She laughed to make his words seem like a joke or none of that got to her eyes. She wanted to cry. whatever this was about, it was scaring her because she did not need anyone to tell her that he was serious.

She wished she had not come to such a conclusion about this. She wished she had just continued to believe it was all a joke or a test.

"I will appreciate it if you refrain from saying telling such jokes. They are dangerous to hear. I almost got killed the last time was in a room with you I bet my family members will pay for this encounter."

She pulled out her phone and called her fiancé. He picked up the call almost immediately.

"Where are you?" she heard him ask sounding very worried and anxious.

"I am sorry, something came up and I got help from your friend, Mr. Lu Tian," she told her fiancé sincerely, that could be the only way she might be able to escape death.

"Where are you now? Are you hurt?"

"No, I am not. He helped me; you could go back home. I am fine now. How about we meet tomorrow as we planned for today?" she asked him just in time for her phone to get snatched and the call was hung up by Lu Tian.

"I was talking to you," he fumed as he placed the phone in between them. "You should listen to me first. I am going to tell you my secret and I will not let you go as soon as I tell you," he warned her seriously.

She could feel her heart race as the atmosphere got heavy with the heavy sigh he heaved. He met her gaze and smiled sadly.

"I will kill you if you tell anyone this," he continued with his warnings.

Every word was dropped on her like snowballs. Melting and sipping in through her clothes, she froze as her spine and all the joints in her body seemed to freeze in the cold.

Could someone please tell him she did not want to know his secret? She wanted to be as far as she could be from him at this moment.

"I might be walking well at this moment, but I have not fully recovered from the injuries I had and you are more aware than anyone else about the origin of the injury."

He paused and nodded. "I do but I can assure you that you will be safe as far as I want that," he told her firmly and moved closer so smoothly and almost unnoticeable by her as she looked out of the window praying for a chance to leave.

She was beginning to believe that he knew the person behind that incident that almost claimed her life. Another strong feeling growing as fast as the fear she felt towards him in her heart was hated.

None of what was happening made sense to her and she wanted to avoid such a situation more than anything. "My fiancé will be bothered by the fact that you hung up when I was not done talking to him," she murmured avoiding his gaze with the busy street they were living serving as her only escape at the moment.

"You stepped into my life and I felt differences. I have not felt this way with anyone woman in the past, I mean sexually. For the first time in my life, I felt turned on by a woman," he confessed.

She wanted to scream and cover her ears to prevent those sounds from sipping in. She glanced at the man driving and she wanted to cry more than ever.

What would you do if a powerful man, as well as a handsome, says such words to you so sincerely like an innocent child because Lin Jing was seriously begging the floor of the car to open so she could escape this all?

Each word he said came out so naturally and casually like talking about the weather to a stranger you are trying to get along with.

She swallowed as she tried to stop her mind from replaying the deep smoothness of his voice when he spoke to her.

She has known him to be the cold man who she strongly believed would kill a woman who tries to invade his personal space. His voice was monotonous and she could feel the coldness in his words yet the innocence was not hard to miss.

She swallowed. Has she stumbled on a pearl among the pebbles?

"You awoke something in me and you must take responsibility. No woman has been bold enough to touch me as long as you did in that office and I have not seized to dream about it.

"There are only two options here. Either you die just as you were supposed to or you meet me tomorrow in my office to take responsibility."

The car stopped and she could only exhale a sigh of relief. They had gotten to her apartment. This had to be the longest ride she has ever had in her life.

She did not look back at him before grabbing her phone and purse. She exited the car and hurried in like she was being pursued.
