The Scout (Part-1)

Ileana sighed for the umpteenth time from being dragged by her grandmother.

She wished for Catherine to follow her, but apparently, she was busy with her work.

'That backstabber, I will get her back for her treachery.'

Ileana sighed as she spoke, "Grandma, I still do not think I should go there."

"Nonsense, a bit of praying would do wonders."

Ileana rolled her eyes as her grandmother dragged her to the preacher's place, where a decent crowd had already gathered.

Beatrice's reasons became apparent as she introduced Ileana to her friend's grandson.

Ileana's brow twitched as she watched the blushing boy as she swore inwardly.

'What is that old woman thinking! I will have to sic dad on her.'

Beatrice's friend spoke, "Looks like they seem to like each other."

Ileana's polite smile froze from shock as she stared at the speaker in disbelief.
