Chapter 1

Over the hills of Blue Mountain, ran a blonde hedgehog who enjoys feeling the wind against him. He ran faster than the fastest thing alive. He is considered to be the fastest thing alive. He jumps over a gap between 2 lands as he lands onto his feet. He turns around to see a purple bunny standing before him. He scratches the back of his head and laughs, "Hey Benny!"

Benny crosses his arms, "You are late for the ceremony. In all honesty, I would've thought that you would at least make it to your girlfriend's ceremony."

"Oh shit, is that really today?" The hedgehog says worried.

"No shit, sherlock, why do you think that I was waiting for you to get here?" Benny turns away from the hedgehog and holds up his hands, "Seriously Shine, you should have known that your girlfriend is being awarded for doing the right thing. Not like you." He turned around to see Shine looking at the ground. He crosses his arms, "What is that look for?"

"Betty is going to kill me! Today is the day that she finally gets accepted into her modeling career." Shine sits down onto the ground and shrugs, "Oh well, she never appreciated me for me anyway."

Benny rolls his eyes, "Whatever, want to go see Kirito?"

"Not just yet, I am going to wait for Betty to call me." Shine takes out a yellow orb and sees that it's blinking. He let's out a heavy sigh, "And that's her about to bicker at me."

Benny sits down onto the ground and scootches closer to Shine.

Shine answers the orb by tapping it, "Hello?"

"Shine the hedgehog!! I have been waiting here for you for the past 3 minutes. Where the hell are you?!" A woman screams on the other end.

"I went on a run, I lost track of time while I was running." Shine says while hiding his face.

"Listen here, sir, I am trying to get an actual career other then being a fucking hero for a planet who doesn't appreciate shit of what you do. Now get an actual job and stop fighting Dr. Figs on whatever he is doing. That isn't going to get you money!"

"I am fighting Dr. Figs because I am saving the planet, I also gain money whilst fighting the madman, now if you excuse me, I am going back on my run."

"Oh no you don't, get your little ass back to my house now if you know what is good for you!" The woman voice sounds more angrier than before.

"Sorry, but Benny and I have plans to go see Kirito."

"Kirito can wait, Shine. Ass over here, now!!" The woman hanged up the orb.

Shine sighs heavily and stands up. He looks down at Benny, "Sorry man, but I got to get going. Betty needs me."

"Sounds like she is going to rip you a new one." Benny stands up as well. He crosses his arms, "Don't want to make her anymore mad than she already is."

Shine shrugs, "Yeah..." He begins to run off while saying bye to his friend. It has been a few days since Shine has seen Benny, but he is glad that his friend still remembers him despite not communicating with each other often.

Shine runs through the blue grass blades as he runs over hills and mountains. He sees a city coming up before him as he runs towards it. He runs through the city and spots his girlfriend's apartment complex. He slows down and stops at the door. Watching it open before him. He walks into the nicely tight up lobby with red fabric.

"Hey Shine!" A man's voice says.

Shine turns over to see an elder white dog, "Hey, Jo. How are you?"

"I am alright with these old bones, how about you? Saving the world as usual and saving the pretty lady?" Jo chuckles at the last part.

"You know it!" Shine walks over to the elevator, "I would love to stay and chat, but the woman calls for me."

Jo nods, "Have a nice day!"

Shine presses onto the floor that Betty is on and watches the elevator doors close and go up. He waits for a few moments before the elevator stops and opens up to reveal the floor that Betty is on. He walks out of the elevator and walks down the golden hallway to where he finds the room 509. He knocks on the door and waits for someone to answer.

Betty opens up the door while wearing her purple button up dress. Her pink lips are highly noticeable, "There you fucking are! I have been trying to call you for the past 40 minutes!"

"I was running back here, alright? Now what is it that you want to tell me?" Shine enters the apartment while Betty just glares at her boyfriend with her amber eyes.

Betty closes the door and walks over to Shine, "As you may know that today was my ceremony of becoming a model. Do you want to know who wasn't there?"

"Me." Shine says lazily as he sits down onto the brown leather couch.

"Exactly, Now are you even working for this relationship?" Betty crosses her arms as she approaches him.

"I do, but you are always on my case when I am trying to save you or something! You don't give me the time that I need to relax from saving everyone from near destruction!" Shine sits up a bit.

"I don't give you enough time to relax?! Excuse me, sir!" Betty gets in front of Shine's face, "I am not the one without a job!"

"I get money in what I do! Now get out of my face!" Shine gets up and walks around Betty.

Betty takes off her shoe and throws it at Shine, "I am done with this! Get out of my apartment! We are through, Shine the hedgehog!"

Shine turns around to Betty and calms himself down. He breathes in and out before speaking, "Listen Betty, I have given nothing, but safety, love, affection, and satisfaction for what you do and for you. If this is how you want to treat me after everything that I have done for this relationship, fine. Be that way. I am done with this relationship as well. I am tired of being the bone that you pick on every single time that something doesn't go your way. Hopefully the next man that you end up with will deal with your attitude. Goodbye Betty Candy the Bear." Shine opens the door and closes it. He walks towards the elevator and presses the down arrow.

Betty opens up the door, "Fuck you, Shine the hedgehog!!!" She slams the door hard to where some people open up their door to see what is going on.

Shine enters the elevator and presses the lobby button. He takes out his orb and says hurtfully, "Dial Kirito."

The orb begins to glow as it awaits for Kirito to answer.

Shine watches the elevator open up and he steps out of the elevator. He walks out of the building as he waves bye to Jo.

Kirito's masculine voice says through the orb, "Kirito speaking."

"Hey man, I need somewhere to be at currently. Don't mind if I go to your place?" Shine says while sitting down on the sidewalk.

"Something wrong my friend?"

Shine brings a hand up to his face and squeezes his eyes shut, "I just need to be somewhere that isn't Golden City."

"My place is always welcome for you to come. I hope that you don't mind, but the oni sisters are here."

Shine smiles a bit, "I don't mind." He gets up and begins to run over to Kirito's place, "How long have they been there?"

"For a few minutes, they have been helping in gathering the Harmony Diamonds, but the diamonds have been acting strange lately. They won't stop glowing this weird color."

"What do you mean?" Shine says concerned.

"I am not sure, I invited everyone over here and the majority are here and downstairs. I am currently cleaning up the upstairs so that no one gets hurt. Especially by Blade's weapons." Kirito said with a slight chuckle.

Shine nods, "Right, also I have some news for you."

"What is it?"

"Me and Betty broken up."

"I have told you that she wasn't good for you. Her energy doesn't match to yours. Hers was toxic while yours was pure like a river. Come come, my friend. Let's cleanse you before seeing the diamonds." Kirito says while hanging up the orb.

Shine smiles and puts the orb away as he runs faster to Kirito's place.
