Full of smile

Tobin wasn't sure if his sudden outburst was because he really cared about Naomi right now or the fact he needed an avenue to express the anger that have been building inside of him. He knew for sure seeing the beautiful Naomi shaking with fear made him uncomfortable.

"What did you just say? Elder Zeko asked shocked at what he just heard..

Even Naomi was rooted to the spot. Harold who have never been kind to her was suddenly standing up for her. Not just against anyone but against his father. The fact Tobin was standing right in front of her prevented her from moving outside.

"I said you don't have the right to speak to her that way, She is mine " Tobin replied although this time he said it in a subtle tone. He realize he wasn't suppose to flare up like that under any circumstance but he believed he did it for the right reason.

"You will speak to me in such manner because of a woman? A woman you have never even wanted? His father asked looking at him wide eyed..

"Why would I never have wanted such a woman?" Harold must have been a fool to treat her wrongly.

"That was in the past, now I want her and I will always stand by her.

Go and set the food on the table " Tobin ordered her.

He watched as Elder Zeko stared at her probably daring her to obey him but to his disappointment she obeyed Tobin setting the food on the table, bowing slightly to him befor taking her leave. Tobin was sure he saw a smile run across his face. He was proud of himself for making her smile like that.

This time Tobin was left with Elder Zeko again with another silence reigning amongst them again. Tobin felt the silence was because he was expecting him to apologize about what he just did. But Tobin wasn't sure if he was wrong. From where he came from women were treated with respect hence he could not stand that.

"I can see your few days in the hut have made you develop wings along with a long hair. If you ever speak to me in that tone again you will join you mother and I don't care if you are my only son" His father said standing up after waiting for an apology that he didn't get.

Tobin watched as he took steps out of the room, he could feel an evil aura around him that suggested he wasn't blabbing when he made that threat.

"And what did he mean by he would join his mother? Does it mean Elder Zeko was amongst the few people who knew what happened to Harold's mother. He was sure even Harold had no idea for Calvin would have mentioned it.

Tobin collapsed into the chair thinking of what trouble await him if he starts with straining the relationship between himself and the person who ought to be his father. As he was thinking his eyes caught sight of the food befor him and he remembered his hunger.

"While people say whatever situation you find yourself make sure to eat. I will do just that" He told himself.

Meanwhile Naomi walked out of the room having mixed feelings about what just happened in the room. Just like Harold, Elder Zeko have never treated her rightly. She wondered how she was even betrothed to such a family that was very hostile to her. Everyone seem to see her like a burden to the family. It is said that her family manipulated their way into the relationship just so they could be aligned with a powerful family. Don't get me wrong, Naomi's family was also powerful but they were no match for them as they miles ahead of them.

"What just happened right there? Naomi asked herself aloud smiling into space in her room. The scene that happened in Harold's room kept playing back in her head. Harold spoke back to his father for her sake. It was just too much for her to understand. She noticed the overall change in Harold since he came back but she could not think of any possible reason for that. Even the evil aura that was usually around him was gone.

"My lady, my lady" a voice brought her back to reality.

She turned sharply to see her apprentice Grace looking at her with a puzzled look on her face. Every witch or wizard was entitled to an apprentice as far as the person comes willingly and you accept the person .

Naomi didn't even know when she walked in. Grace was the only friend she had right up till this moment

"What's happening? You have been smiling to yourself without responding to my call. You dint even know when I walked inside your room. What is happening? Grace asked maintaining the puzzled look

Naomi smiled the more, who would even believe her story right now?
