The battle started without any hesitation from either of the two individuals.

Luna dodged a thrust from the stick and tried to slash it with a Mana Dagger that was dodged too before the two separated.

After a brief moment in which the two observed each other the battle restarted with Luna moving in slashing at it being blocked by the stick before punching its stick with a Mana Burst unbalancing it and able to slash it.

Or at least she should have if he didn't forcefully step back dodging her slash and regaining its balance.

The two started circling each other, stick in two green hands wielded as a spear and the other two white hands half open ready to be either a fist or to wield Mana Daggers.

The two of them had similar physical stats after all while Goblin are weak for their Rank and Lunarians are strong for their own, a difference of one Rank is more than enough to equalize things especially if the Goblin has gained both an Ability and an Innate Skill.

Its Third Eye was constantly monitoring its opponent physical condition trying to predict her and the flow of combat while she was concentrating not on her opponent or the terrain, but only on herself and her own movements, refining them little by little.

Instantly she stepped forward her left arm forming not a Mana Dagger, but a Mana Lance closing the two meter distance between the two and threatening to impale it right here and now if not for the Goblin mostly evading the attack except for a scratch before responding with a thrust from the stick that she didn't evade, but that instead she took in her right hand clenching it still before slashing it with her left hand now armed with a Mana Dagger across the chest the two separating again with her wound quickly healing as the two restarted to circle each other.

However, this time, it was the Goblin that started the attack thrusting with its spear before quickly rotating it to gain distance while stepping in before suddenly thrusting not at her chest, but at her knees forcing her to move sideways before trying to smack her with its stick, stick that was forcibly stopped with her hands to then kick the Goblin straight in the chest sending it away.

Before it could react it found itself having to drop to the ground to dodge a Mana Dagger thrown by Luna and rolling to the side dodging a stomp from her and rising while spinning the stick to make space around it.

She nodded to herself, a happy smile on her face, as the two continued their battle.

A thrust was dodged and so was the answering slash, a punch from Luna was blocked and the answering strike was evaded.

The two separated for an instant before she restarted the battle with a thrust from her Mana Lance held in her left hand that was dodged before her right hand swung in with a Mana Dagger that was dodged too before, instead of a Lance that covered most of her forearm, a long transparent spear was in her left hand thrusting not at the Goblin, but at its "spear" unbalancing it before kicking it straight in its chest sending it flying away.

She nodded the Mana weapons already Dispelled as she concentrated and she Casted another Mana Spear in her hand before swinging it around her briefly, a satisfied smile on her face.

The battle restarted again with a meeting between two spears, one consistent of a stick and one made entairily out of Mana.

The Ghoul controlled by Edgar was observing the battle and the nearby area to make sure they wouldn't be ambushed while Edgar himself was thinking about the battle.

*She maximized Durability in exchange for attack Potency. Why? Why is she bothering to fight like this? She could just maximize Attack Power while Casting Stats Enhancement at full Power to instantly kill that Goblin. Why doesn't she? Ah, I see. "Any and every fight should be an opportunity for you to become stronger and an occasion to grow." How monstrous. Even if the Goblin has more skill with a spear for now and has a Third Eye specifically for melee combat, Luna is becoming better with a spear and growing faster that it can. *

As the thought passed his mind something changed.

Luna nodded to herself and Dispelled her Spear having learned all that she could about it from her temporary opponent before Casting a Mana Dagger with the same maximized Durability and restarting the battle again.

This time the fight was much shorter as Luna's growth and adaptation was substantially faster and even through the Goblin was becoming better it didn't matter.

The fight become even more one sided to the Lunarian's favor as she proceeded to close her eyes while continuing the fight, her Health, Stamina and Mana already fully recovered even if her Satiety was starting to decrease before being refilled by converting Health into it.

She already memorized the area around her, her own weapon and physical characteristics, her opponent's weapon and her opponent itself, both its physical characteristics, its reaction speed, its skill with a Spear and how it would behave itself.

There was no more threat, it was only a vehicle for her own growth.

Quickly she adapted to fight her opponent, her own slashes parrying away its own stabs and attacks while landing on it her own before Dispelling her Mana Dagger and deciding to end the fight, having learned all that she could.

She forcefully made space between them by opening her eyes and Shaping a mass of Mana in a transparent blade as long as she was tall to cut the area between them and making a spear in her right hand before moving in with a violent yet precise stab straight towards its heart.

Its eyes widened as it moved its own spear to block the attack.

However, differently from all other attacks launched in this fight, this attack could not be stopped with just that.

"Heavy Thrust." As this words escaped from Luna's mouth and her Satiety decreased, her Mana Spear flashed red and pierced through its Stick destroying it in the process and opening it up to a Slash from the Mana Dagger in her left hand.

"Heavy Slash." Her Dagger flashed the same red as her Satiety decreased further and she slashed it through the fur around it and cutting it deeply, its blood erupting and staining the area around it. 

It would have stained Luna if only she would not have made distance between them, what now was a transparent Bow in her right hand with a, transparent too, nocked Arrow direct towards its face; Arrow that was now launched and pierced straight through its third eye, killing it.

She nodded satisfied before jogging to her new meal and sucking its blood, even with its horrible taste.

The blood on the ground moved towards her as she devoured it all.

She had an happy smile on her face as she opened and closed her hands, feeling the difference from before.

"This is great. Very well, are there any more Goblin nearby?"

"No. That one was the last nearby. Let's turn back to the Manor. You would certainly want to consolidate your gains."

"I suppose so. Let's go. I doubt there is anything of worth down here."

The two moved on and at the exit of the cave the Ghoul rose its right arm generating a red Magic Circle.

"Corpse Cremation."

Having said that, the circle greedily drank power from the Ghoul before releasing a wave of flames that could only burn corpses, while being quite efficient at doing that, one of Edgar's own creation.

The two returned to the carriage and then Edgar's Manor.

Once there Luna reached Edgar that was waiting in his hidden laboratory holding in his hand a sphere a centimeter long of a iridescent metal in his hand.

"This is Orichalcum, a special metal."

"I see. Tell me, what is the reason you will die?"

"A party, called Iriblades, hunted down my Master and all of his Servants starting from about 3 years ago."

He took a photo from one of his pocket and showed her.

In that photo there was a group of five individuals.

The central one was a black haired, black eyed, fair skinned Human man of about 19 years, an armor made mostly of white and gold armor with blue accents and wielding a sword with a blade made entirely of light with a gem of iridescent metal at the center, smiling at the camera.

At his right a short brown-haired Dwarf woman that looked the same age, an heavy armor on her and an Hammer made entirely out of rock with red cracks that shined slightly with a band made of the same iridescent metal, smiling exasperatedly.

At his left was a tall 18 years old pale Human woman wearing blue witch's clothes wielding a long dark wooden staff with a crystal made of iridescent metal, a smug smile on her face.

Behind and between the Human male and the Dwarf was a tall, blonde, 20-something years old male Elf with a clerics uniform, a short Healer's staff made of a light wood with an iridescent band.

At the left of the witch, almost outside the picture, was a red-haired, blue-eyed, fair-skinned, 190 centimeters tall Half-Elf that looked in her early twenties, with a Ranger's attire and a long wooden bow with various gems made of iridescent metal on the branches with a white string, a pissed off expression on her face; she felt important, but Luna had no idea how or why.

"Why is it that they are hunting you down? Do you want my Blood? Do you want me to kill them?"

"To the second question, no. After all, they are finding me through my Blood and if I take in your Blood they will find you through me for an increase in power that will not be enough for me to win without a doubt. I have no interest in vengeance or things like that, I care much more for my research. And regarding the reason… Well, I really have no idea. There are many reasons why a Vampire could be hunted and I have no idea for theirs. It's time to consolidate your Magicules, isn't it?"

"How rare are red hair and blue eyes on an Half-Elf?"

"Around a tenth of all Half-Elf have both naturally so it doesn't tell us anything in particular."

"I suppose."

Having said that Luna sit down starting to meditate quickly reaching her own Soul, finding herself before the two her, a slight mist of Magicules flowing around her.

Instead of moving deeper in, she moved towards the outside looking not at them, but at various crystals shaped like a bow and arrow, a dagger, a spear, a mirror, an orb and a sphere made of mist, her own Ability Skills.

She nodded before moving back towards her own Inner Soul taking control of the Magicules flowing around her Soul and directing it towards her own Skills.

Her own Singularity Skill gained 1.000 Magicules reaching its limit for now, While both Lunarian and Soul Harmony gained 100 each, because giving more than that would be a waste for now.

The change in power felt great as she smiled to herself, her fangs peeking out from her lips and her pupil-less eyes observing her hands opening and closing.
