Chapter 10

7/21 9:38 (Summer, Day)

A rain of Arrows coated in lightning fell upon the Drake only to be destroyed by tentacles made of water as it roared before releasing a stream of water from its mouth in response towards Azure only for her to dodge, an arrow already nocked in her bow.

Marine controlled the water around it, slowing it down even if she could not stop its ability to manipulate water.

Meanwhile Evan launched himself at the Drake, his blade wounding it throught its aura, cleaving its scales before jumping over a platform made from solid water by Marine, dodging the swipe of its tail.

This opening was not wasted as it gave enough time to Azure.

"Oh, Roaring Spirit, respond to my plea."

Upon this prayer, a mass of lightning formed in the shape of a vaguely humanoid figure floating around her, as spark started to fly around them as she rose her bow to the sky, clouds amassing overhead as the lightning around her was concentrated in her arrow.

"Fall, oh thunder, and strike down the enemy before me."

She launched the arrow high in the sky before a three meters wide lightning fall upon the False Dragon, being guided by her Unique Arma straight towards it.

Upon seeing such, the Drake did not hesitate.

It roared, its aura intensifying and mixing with the Barrier as water rose from the sea and forming various layers of shields to disperse as much of it as it could while expanding its territory to stop the barrier.

The B-Rank Party observed the cloud of vapor obsuring their opponent before it roared in pain, showing itself.

Most of its scale upon the top of its head were completely destroyed and its flesh burned as its eyes were exploded in its skull.

Upon seeing such, Evan went in to end the fight before it could heal itself completely, his Unique Arma having a blade made of lightning, as he slashed through its brain using the fact it could not see anymore.

Or at least, that was his plan as it dodged at the last second, being saved by its new Innate Skill, Extra-sensory Echo, retreating under the water.

The Iriblades kept their guard up before, after a good 13 minutes of waiting seeming to relax.

A couple of minutes after even that, the boat shook as it was attacked from below, waves of water attacking it in conjunction, trying to capsize it and all those on the vehicle.

Fortunately, they already advised the staff of the boat to keep all other travelers safely hidden within the barrier if a Monster appeared until they signaled them, thing they hadn't done yet and they are sea-men by profession.

Unfortunately, they found themselves having to improvise ways how to not fall in the water as falling in it with a Water Drake hunting them would be a death sentence.

Hurriedly Klevel and Marine held onto Fora for dear life as she rose her hammer, the head directed towards the boat, before slamming it in and anchoring all three of them in place, manipulating gravity around them so that they would not move.

Meanwhile Evan stayed stable by jumping and creating a platform of almost solid light under him while Azure just jumped, her feet landing on Fora's shoulder as she fired an arrow clad in water, precisely striking the Drake passing through the water without any resistance.

The Drake rose from the sea, fully healed thanks to the time from its injury and most of its Vital Energy and Mana restored, before releasing a jet of water at high pressure towards Fora only for her to rise her Unique Arma and striking said jet, shattering it in drops of water that Marine quickly took over, shaping them in blades that cut it in various places.

The swordman jumped in, the blade of his Unique Arma made of lightning again, slashing through its left eye before jumping away from its answering bite, a rain of arrow coated in lightning falling down upon it, shattering its barrier, followed by a single arrow, it too coated in sparks, piercing its scales and destroying its right eye.

A roar of pain escaping it as it regenerated both eyes, both Evan and Azure landing back in the boat as Klevel was chanting as an enormous golden Magical Circle was being created slowly high in the sky above them, increasing in size as time passed.

Marine restarted to weaken the Drake's control over water while both Evan and Azure prepared to distract the Monster before them.

The battle restarted, the water continuosly attacking the barrier around the ship as Evan launched himself at the Drake releasing slashes made out of lightning as he went and Azure continuosly launching arrows to support the assault as it manipulated water around it as fast as it could to block the attacks while launching its own.

It roared, the water rising around it forming not tentacles, but blade intent on ripping them to pieces and, without hesitation nor any problem dodged the attacks, before Azure prayed again.

"Oh, Flowing Spirit, respond to my plea."

A mass, this time made instead out of water, formed in the shape of a vaguely humanoid figure floating around her.

"Rise, oh water, and chain the enemy before me."

The plea was heard and obeyed as the sea rose in chains to immobilize it.

"How much time do you still need? After this I can't use Spirit Magic with Water Attribute for another hour or Lightning Attribute for another 20 minutes, so move it."

At her barking, Klevel merely sighed before continuing to pray in a tone barely above a murmur as the Magical Circle above them was slowly reaching full completition as the Witch started to weaken the Drake's attack against the chains to lenghten the time it will be stopped for.

Meanwhile Evan was in place, his Mana and Vital Energy rising and being absorbed by his Unique Arma and his Unique Skill converted it in electricity while Fora posed her right hand on his back, her own Unique Skill amplifying its quantity and potency both.

Finally it was able to break the chain around it and resurface only for the Magic Circle, now around 100 meters in range, to be completed and activated, generating a barrier around both the boat and the Drake, generating the biggest Spell he ever Casted.

"Holy Field."

This Spell, normally used to protects Temples and Churches by being linked to a Mana Capacitor, was Casted for the first time by a Person during a battle, being boosted by his Skills, his Staff and the lenght of his chant, and had a very simple function.

The function was the weakening of all Monsters and the strenghtening of all People within it.

Furthermore, thanks to his mastery of the Holy Attribute and his Unique Skill, Life Link, this barrier consumed the Water Drake's Mana and Vital Energy to maintain itself instead of the Caster's.

This gave Evan enough time.

"Awaken!"

The order was heard by her Unique Arma at B-Rank.

His Unique Arma ceased to be material and become made completely out of iridescent energy that quickly become pure lightning.

He rose the sword even further, stepped forward and swung releasing a slash made of lightning, using his Unique Skill to negate all possibilities of the attack being dodged.

"Lightning Fall Slash."

The Drake could only widen its eyes before it was cut in half, its parts falling apart before being taken in a Magical Ring by the Party to be sold afterwards by them.

The journey restarted, even if thanks to the Drake, they will arrive even later, after all a lot of Mana was spent to protect the boat and so its speed would be quite reduced to make sure the barrier would still be up.

At that information, Azure scowled to herself before returning to her room under the gaze of the rest of the Iriblades, to sulk while observing Her photo.

Luna smiled as her boat finally arrived in her destination.

She quickly jumped from it before it could even stop, quickly hiding within the crowd.

She smiled sneaking through the port before reaching the city itself, jumping high in the air and moving from rooftop to rooftop towards the protective walls around the city.

Finally she passed the barrier around it and created a pair of Wings quickly flying where she thought nord was after storing away her Artifact.

She smiled as the day finally ended as shown by the fact she gained even more Magicules.

Her objective was to move for Midrar to Higrar and use the fact that Gaea was a sphere to then pass briefly throught Terrar and then into Dunrar, a continent-spanning nation that is, more or less, made entirely of small city-states in a wilderness full of Dungeons.

A Dungeon is a place, most of the times a cave, in which Miasma naturally gather in large quantities forcing the birth of many Monsters and their successive growth in power.

An ideal place for her own growth, especially considering how the only rule there is the rule of power and she would not accept orders from any other.

The fact that she "obeyed" Edgar was caused merely by the fact that this was his dying wish and to thank him in her own way.

There was, however, no need to grieve him.

After all, as a Vampire his Soul would join the Moon in time, as it should.

As the Sun was slowly rising she slowed down, searching a road that was going where she was before starting to run following it, unaware that she was already lost, Shapes being manifested and controlled around her before being dismissed.

7/29 16:13 (Summer, Night)

It was finally time.

They finally arrived even with the delay caused by the Water Drake.

Azure smiled, her Unique Skill, Blood Hunt, pointing her towards her target.

Finally, she would find Her again.

The rest of her Party was following her as she ran.

They quickly found themselves within a mansion, their target, a white-haired human looking Vampire waiting for them, ready to battle, the barrier shut off to conserve as much Mana as possible for the fight.

Somewhere else, Luna found herself in quite the situation, being surrounded by around a couple dozen people while in a place of the road among a forest, weapons aimed at her, an hollow smile on her face.
