Party Begins

(3rd person PoV);

When Miguel reached the building in eighth street where David Park, the driver recruiter for Braga resides, it was already half past eleven. 

He was wearing a gray hoodie and trackpants above his nano Armour. He also wore a bandana on his face as a mask to cover his identity. He just went into the alley near the building and waited for Dom to arrive. Soon enough, he heard the sound of a muscle car arriving and when he turned, he saw Dom in his red Chevelle arrive.

"Nice car." Miguel just commented. Dom just smiled at the comment and walked towards the boy. "Well, you got nice taste kid but can't say the same about the disguise" Dom mused as he got out of the car. 

"Well, I am not daring enough like you to reveal my identity to everyone, including the feds Dom." Miguel just answered back sarcastically to which Dom just cracked a smile. They crossed the road and as they walked up to the building Dom was soon to notice the 2000 Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-R lying in the front.

"Well I guess we are at the right place." Dom said as he pointed to the souped up car. Miguel just nodded. 

"He lives in the third floor." Miguel said after checking the data with AI.

They went up the stairs and just stood in front of the apartment door. They could hear the tv on and somebody talking over the phone. They just looked at each other and nodded. Miguel took out his gun and was ready. Dom just kicked the door in.

The resident of the apartment, David Park was having a conversation with someone when he saw the door of his apartment fly open and two men burst into the room like raging bulls. Before he could even make a sound, he was lifted from his couch by Dominic and was pinned to the wall. 

"Where do I find Braga?" Dom asked while gripping the other man's throat.

"I don't know man…. I am just a middleman; I can get you into this race he is holding. That's all I can do man I swear." Park was struggling to catch his breath. But Dom didn't release his grip.

He then just yanked him and proceeded to smash him through the window and hung him by his legs. "Aaaah…please man, that's all I can do man, come on. There's gonna be a race at the Koreatown…. that's all I know man, trust me ...please man don't drop me." the man wailed.

"Dom, we have company." Miguel alerted Dom as he spotted Brian O'Connor rushing towards the building, as he spotted Dom dangling the man from the window. Miguel just walked towards the couch and hid while taking his gun out. 

And soon enough they heard a rushing Brian enter and stop at his tracks. "Dom, bring him up…" Brian said as he pointed the gun at Dom. As he stepped forward, Brian heard another voice come from his behind. 

"I wouldn't point that gun if I were you, Brian." He heard the voice say and when he turned, he saw Miguel point the gun at him. But suddenly Dom dropped Park and lunged at Brian.

'Shit', Miguel thought as he rushed to pull Park up. Dom pinned Brian down and both were wrestling. Miguel pulled Park up. "Sorry, buddy… nothing personal." Miguel said to park and just knocked him out to prevent him from running.

"You killed Letty." Miguel heard Dom say as he was trying to overpower Brian. Brian was stunned at this statement and Dom landed a punch on his face. 

"Cut it out you two." Miguel intervened and separated the fighting duo with a great deal of effort. "You both are equally guilty in Letty's death. Letty went to him on her own volition Dom and why do you think she did that, huh." He said to Dom .Dom calmed down after hearing this. "And you, Brian" Miguel said as he turned to Brian ." You could have turned her down. But you didn't. You thought like a cop and not like her friend so back down." Brian had many questions but he couldn't voice none at the moment as guilt washed over him.

"You can take in the punk", Miguel said while pointing at a very unconscious David Park. "Let's bounce Dom." Miguel said to Dom. Dom then followed Miguel out.

(Miguel PoV)

I knew that revealing Letty and Brian's arrangement would make the clash between Brian and Dom intensify way before it should originally. But luckily enough, Dom knew better than to blame Brian entirely for what happened.

We reached the car and Dom started the engine. "You should stop being irrational Dom. You will be in great troubles that you can solve."

Dom just didn't speak for a while. "You know there isn't a day that I don't regret leaving Letty behind. I just wanted to be her safe and look at what that got her." He sounded very emotional when he said this.

"Dom, you know that if there is one person you should focus your anger on, its Braga. We will get that son of a bitch and so keep your cool up and wait for the perfect moment rather than jumping the gun." Dom just nodded.

 The rest of the trip was pretty much silent if you don't count the roaring V8 engine of the Chevelle. He just dropped me off and said that he would call me after he gets into Braga's race. I gave him my contact number and he took off.

After I made sure that there was no surveillance nearby, I removed my mask and put my guns back in the space and walked back home. Walking back home, I had a lot in my mind but all that was shattered as someone called out my name.

"Miguel…", when I turned to look at the source, I saw Haley Dunphy coming towards me followed by another friend of hers. 

"Hey Haley… what are you doing here?" I asked her with surprise. 

"Well, this is Donna and she's my friend." I just nodded to the other girl and she just smiled. "We were helping to arrange somethings for her birthday party. If you are free you can tag along. We need some hands on the deck." She said cheerfully and her friend nodded agreeing with her.

"Oh…well, Happy Birthday Donna" I shook her hands and she thanked me. "Well anyways I am free for the rest of the day and I guess I can help." I just shrugged and answered. I called my mom and said that I would be late and she was not exactly happy but just agreed after a bit of coaxing.

I walked with Haley and her friend towards Donna's house. We talked about a lot of trivial things as we walked and from what I could understand from our conversation, Donna just turned seventeen and she is a bit shy. But she's one of those kinds that talk a lot after you get acquainted. Overall, it was fun.

When we reached the house, I noticed that it was a very posh and huge. It was safe to say that Donna was your typical trust fund girl. I saw some more girls and some boys who were arranging things and taking things inside. I just decided to help them. I carried some beer cannisters in and helped to put up some lights. I could see some girls ogling at me as I took my hoodie off. I just gave a smile and most them just giggled and blushed. Ignoring that I just went around to put the drinks dispenser near the pool in the backyard. It was quite a big party.

After a while I saw the guests arrive and the party was soon in full swing. Donna was with her boyfriend and I saw Haley with Dylan. 'Damn, I really need to get a girlfriend.' I just warily thought and just decided to head to the crowd and to let loose.

The DJ was playing a very groovy song and I just bobbed my head and occasionally sway to the rhythm. Soon I found myself in the crowd and was dancing with some random girl who was already half drunk. The crowd was basically getting drunk by the minute and I just decided to walk away and take a break. 

I made my way through the crowd and just walked towards the backyard. There were kids dancing and drinking. There was smell of booze and sweat everywhere. 

 I just grabbed a coke went to the poolside and just sat down near the pool side. After all I am yet to have a drink in this life if my memory serves right. Some people were already in the large pool and were swimming and playing around. Some of the girls who spotted me sitting alone invited me in, but I wasn't exactly in the mood to get wet. So, I just politely refused. I was sipping from my can, and then someone just sat down by my side. It was Haley. She had bit of a depressed look on her face.
