35. Understanding formations

Julius entered another class which was a hall too and there seemed to be a lot of people here. He went to quietly sit on a chair at another end close to a window and he looked out of it

People quickly noticed him as one of the students in top 10 during the entrance test and it wasn't long before a woman entered the place.

She adjusted her ash coloured hair and Julius couldn't help but find her sexy. She has that round buttocks and her big breasts were held inside a white shirt. She cleared her throat and then different symbols began to appear on a large board. Julius then payed attention.

"So, I'm Miss Laya. And I'm going to be in charge of teaching you new students on array and formations, until next year," She said to them, amplifying her voice throughout the entire hall.

"Well, while basic spell casting only relies on affinity and Mana control, arrays are more like conduits of magic, let's say, a magic enhancing array. You can channel a normal fireball, but it's going to be much bigger."

"But not just that, there are healing formations, and a lot of other things one could do with arrays. Now, you've been given books on arrays and formations, and a mana control pen on your desk. I'm giving you an hour to master the first 100 basic array symbols," Miss Laya said to them and Julius smiled bitterly as he heard what she said and then he gazed at the pen on the desk.

[Item: Mana conduit pen]

[Rank: Earth]

[Description: A pen which allows for a simple flow of Mana, much easier to control and move around.]

Julius grabbed it and observed it before putting it in his pocket and he began to study the book.

There was also Levi who noticed the prince from his seat in the front and he smiled as he continued learning.

Julius began to see all the different symbols and then he grabbed the pen and he began to draw them.

If it came to knowledge, he was a nerd in his last life so it took him very little time to master the way each symbol was drawn and what they meant.

After an hour Miss Laya began to walk around and she watched the students draw the symbols, some were drawing it very amateurishly but it was their first day.

Julius moved the pen in the air and he noticed that his flow of Mana was much easier when using the pen.

He drew all hundred basic symbols and then he smiled as he stretched his shoulders. Miss Laya too smiled as she saw that some of them have completed it and she nodded.

"An array master's duty in battle most of the time is to provide support. Healing, fire power, boosting magic power and the rest, it's a versatile skill to have which can help in any situation," Miss Laya said to them and Julius continued reading the book on arrays and formations.

The reason Julius took this up was because of a specific formation he had in mind to draw.

'I believe that the blades forgotten by time would be on this continent.' he thought and then he decided to not think about it for now as he was studying hard.

...

All the chairs and tables floated in the air and all the students were standing now.

They all stretched their Mana conduit pens up as they began to draw on the air.

Julius wasn't having any problems and he was getting the symbols correctly. Including Levi who was also very focused.

"It's just a basic spell enhancer. After drawing it manifest your element in front of you," The teacher said and Julius was one of the first to finish with Levi besting him in speed.

Julius looked at the circular formation on his hands consisting of two squares and then the various symbols within which all revolved around and he manifested his light element on his palm.

He was stunned as it was much brighter than before and the teacher saw him and came over to him.

"Ah, light element. Well... it's good you're learning arrays and formations as you wouldn't be able to do much with light. Very weak," She said to him with a smile before moving on to another person and Julius had a bitter smile on his face.

"Hm? He has the light element?"

"But he was in top 10 students in the test. Looks like there might be a chance for me."

"It's just a weak ass element."

Julius had a nonchalant look on his face and he put his hand close to the light and he felt that it was emitting an immense heat.

'Hm, I'll test this out when I go back to the dorms.' He thought and then he dismissed the array.

...

'Well, first day of being an array master completed. We only get classes for six months in the first year and we'll have to train by ourselves during the remaining one and half year.' He thought and then he looked around to find himself in a place he hasn't seen before.

He then looked at the map and smiled.

"Luckily there's a map, I would have lost my way by now," He said and then made his way to the seniors area.

'Sasha promised to come see me when I entered the academy. Also, her and the main character should be in the same class along with seraphina.' he smiled as he made his way there.

Time to go see the main characters.

...

The seniors area was more active than the first years area. There weren't any teachers around and they all did what they had to do to get stronger.

All the students turned their heads as they gazed at two students walking down the hall. One of them was a demon who had short black hair and golden coloured pupils.

He wore the standard uniform but had a long coat to go with it along with a long sword sheathed at his back. Beside him was princess Sasha, her long green hair fluttered in the wind as she made her way back to the dorms with this mysterious boy.

On a tiger statue in front of their dorm was a silver haired girl with beautiful wine coloured eyes and she was still studying at this time.

"Ugh... What's a first year doing here?" One of the students said with disdain in her tone and Sasha looked to the side to see her brother and she smiled.

Before she could even move, Seraphina jumped towards him.

I believe I'm still oweing a chapter...
