"So there are two types of magic, constructive and destructive magic. Destructive magic is well known throughout the continent which is the elemental magic, but constructive magic is more practical," The teacher explained to them and he stretched his hand out.
On it, a single rose flower appeared and the students were all stunned.
"Even if constructive magic is very useful, it's very useless when it comes to defending the continent," Levi said and as if the teacher heard him, both of their eyes met.
"You're right." Julius agreed with him.
"Well, while constructive magic is useful, destructive magic is what is more effective against the monsters that come from the gates. Now, I'm going to teach you how to harness and feel Mana." The teacher floated away from the alter and went behind the plain white board behind him and then his image appeared on the large board behind him.
"Every element has its mystic codes. One comprehends these codes, to make their element stronger. A book will appear on your desk now after you select your element," The teacher said and then Julius saw a small tablet floating in front of him with a list on it.
There were indeed all elemental forms, lightning, fire, ice, water, earth, wind, space, time, light, and darkness.
Julius selected his element and he peeked over at Levi's tablet to see that he picked the space element and he was shocked.
'Damn. Space is probably only second to time. This guy...' Julius couldn't help it and Aria looked at his tablet too.
Then a book appeared on his table and the man on the alter frowned as he realized something.
'Is seems there is one person with the light element. Very unfortunate fellow...' the man thought as he let out a breath.
He began to float above the students, monitoring each of them as they began to study the element.
Julius too was deep in the studying as he put all his focus on the book. He could see a single symbol on the first page and at a more careful glance, he began to see smaller symbols on the body of this big symbol that covered the page.
After a while he closed his eyes, and concentrated.
'Mana is intangible, focus on your surroundings.'
Slowly, Julius opened his eyes and really, he began to see little transparent particles in the air. If his focus shakes they would turn even more invisible.
He also sensed a bigger one within him and he suddenly opened his eyes to see his core. It was just one single basketball sized ball in his hand and his brows raised.
As a bit brushed passed him he felt it and it.
'It has the same cold feeling as before.' He thought as he continued to study the energy.
Ten minutes passes and Julius was able to move his Mana freely after studying it for a while.
He opened his eyes and he no longer saw his Mana core.
'Ah, this was described in the book. In a deep state of meditation one is transported to an Mana world.' Julius thought and he opened the book again and continued.
"Woah!!"
"Damn, I was about to do it first."
"Isn't that the girl from the Drake clan."
Julius looked away from his book and saw that Gracia was the first to form a ball of fire in her hands.
The next one was River who was by the far east and he had a shard of ice in his hand however he seemed to look confused at it.
Julius smiled as he closed the book and he stretched forth his palm. It was all in the mystic codes.
A ball of bright light appeared above his hand. He seemed immune to it and then he dimmed it a bit by reducing the amount of Mana he used.
'So it's like this?' Julius nodded to himself as he brought out a special notebook from his storage ring and scribbled some things down.
The class ended a while after that and Julius left the hall feeling satisfied. At least he was able to manifest the power of light after a bit of understanding the mystic codes.
'The mystic codes huh. It seems that magic is more complicated than I thought.' Julius smiled to himself and then he looked at his map and located a pet store.
"You hungry Aria?" Julius asked as he patted her head.
This little creature loved his shoulder so much.
*"Hungry"*
Julius smiled at her response and then he diverted from the route he took before and made his way towards the pet store.
Julius noticed the large statue of a man in the distance and then he raised a brow.
'I guess that's the man that created the school. The entire was solely created by pure magic from this very person.' Julius thought and he faced his way again.
Soon, he reached a building which was very wide and then he entered into it. To his surprise he actually saw a few first years like him there too.
It was like a supermarket back on earth, with rows and rows of food and nourishments for beast bonds.
He went towards a woman at a counter and she looked at him with a smiling face.
"What would you like to get for your pet?" She asked him and Julius smiled.
"Do you guys sell guides to train up and nourish pets?"
The woman nodded as he said that and then they brought out a stack of books from within the side
'Hm, all these focus on elemental beasts. Then I'll go with this.' he took a book on the light element and he swallowed as the nourishments would be quite expensive.
"Damn, these nourishments are expensive," Julius said out loud and the woman raised a brow.
"They aren't so... Ah... Your pet has the element of light?" She asked in shock and he nodded before he continued browsing through the daily schedule and training and items.
"Well, I think I'll go with basic training routine and Nourishments for now," Julius thought and then he pulled out a small medal which was in his pocket.
It was the school currency card and he already had quite a lot points already.
