Chapter 2: A Second Chance At Life ?

Sunlight filtered through the white curtains causing its rays to illuminate the room,

"Urgh", she groaned and stirred, slowly opening her eyes and staring at the ceiling for a while,

"Wait a minute!",

Noticing something was wrong, she abruptly sat up with widened eyes

Wasn't she supposed to be dead? why did she suddenly find herself in her room? She tried getting up and walking to the mirror,

"Urgh, my waist", she had just taken a step when she wobbled and fell back onto the bed

What on earth had happened ? and why did her body ache so much?

With so many unanswered questions, she managed to get up and finally walked to the mirror

She stared at her reflection in the mirror and gaped in utter disbelief, there wasn't a bruise or scratch on her body to be seen, it just didn't make any sense,

*Beep*, Her phone sounded notifying her of a new message, she picked it up to check only to receive an even bigger shock,

The date on her phone was 30th March xx36, Which was seven years before their accident,

Her phone fell out of her hands and she covered her mouth trying to process the newly found information, had she gone back in time?, had God given her a second chance at life?

She held back the tears threatening to fall and let out a crooked half-smile, all of that didn't matter, all that mattered was the fact that she was going to use this life to change things

Speaking of change, she needed to get changed so she could go see Fu Hao, She then proceeded to take off her clothes and walked into the bathroom

'What the...?'

She stared at her body covered in hickeys and couldn't help but gape again,

No wonder she was aching badly, in her past life, she had drugged him and planned for him to sleep with another woman so she could get and use the dirt on him to file a divorce with no questions from her family, unfortunately for her, her plan had backfired and he had ended up sleeping with her instead,

Thinking back to what she had done, she cringed and facepalmed, she really was stupid, even more so, for listening to her little sister, Su Jiao's 'advice'

Su Jiao was her half-sister from the same father. She was a result of her father's affair, sadly, his mistress died, so he took her in and they had been living like sisters ever since

She took a quick shower and then threw on a red and white floral dress, and a pair of red wedge shoes, because she couldn't be bothered to drive, she took a cab to the Fu corporation, then went straight to his office on the 20th floor

She was greeted by his P.A., Chang He, and told that he was currently in a meeting that had just started,

'Well then, I guess I've got to wait'

She walked into his minimalistic designed office and sat on the white sofa at the side of the room

"*Yawn*, I'll just take a quick nap to kill time", she had been in a rush to see him and hadn't rested well, her body still ached and a good rest was what she needed,

She was soon off to dreamland when she closed her eyes while laying her head on a fluffy grey cushion.
