Chapter 16: Sera

He saw her clearly in this perspective. She was the only one who had color in his eyes.

Pale white skin, silvery white hair and lashes, and beautiful wine-colored eyes. She wore her signature indifferent expression as she sharpened a blade.

Julius deactivated the eye, and then he was completely surprised to see a different person.

"A disguise?" he wondered.

This one had shoulder-length black hair and ordinary brown eyes. She didn't stand out at all. He frowned as he walked towards the instructor.

"The assassin Ivana, one of the major villains. If she's here, the Duke must have sent her on a mission to assassinate someone," Julius couldn't help but think.

He could feel slight pain by the sides of his head, and the pain seemed to affect his eyes too.

[The Omniscient Attribute has leveled up to level 3!]

Immediately, he suddenly felt calm about the situation and glanced back at her.

"With her powers of shadow, there's no doubt that she was the one who stalked me before," Julius thought, keeping his indifferent expression as he glanced at her.

The girl also looked at him, making him look away as he noticed.

"I thought you were training under your uncle?" the instructor asked, and Julius nodded.

"I was. He's leaving, so he won't be able to train me anymore." The instructor smiled at this and pointed towards the students who were staring at him.

"Well, you're right on time. For sword wielders like you, we're doing precise cut training," the instructor said, and then he glanced over.

He could see the kids there using wooden swords to try and cut a paper held with two pegs.

He watched a tall boy try, and the paper squeezed instead of cutting. He went towards them and got in line.

The challenge was fairly simple for Julius, as he knew his way to maneuver around it.

"Since it's a wooden sword, we need to maximize the thinness of our manifested essence around the sword. Shouldn't be hard," he thought to himself, and then after more than thirty minutes, it was his turn.

He walked forward with an indifferent expression and held a wooden sword in his hand.

The sword had a subtle golden glow around it, and he raised it up before looking down at the paper.

"The hand must also be steady to strike down with precision at a perfect ninety-degree angle," he calculated before striking down with the sword.

The paper was split into two, and the other students were shocked at this show of skill.

"Ah..."

"He... He just cut it on his first try."

"How's that even possible? It's never been done."

"He's part of the royal family, he might be talented like the others."

The students kept on commenting, and the girl sitting by the side in a corner frowned as she looked at Julius.

"Wow. Is it really your first time doing it?" the instructor asked as he saw this, and Julius confirmed with a nod.

Other students began to be guided by the instructor, and Julius walked off to find somewhere to sit. He walked directly towards the field in his view—the assassin.

Before he got to her, a group of boys suddenly approached him with smiles on their faces.

"Prince Julius, that was awesome. I'm John, don't mind the others—"

"Prince Julius, I'm Harry Votter, let's be friends, please."

"Stop pushing me away."

The group suddenly began to press Julius into a corner, and then he released his Scheme 5 Aura, which made them all back away.

He calmly went to sit beside the assassin girl, holding the sword his uncle had given him in his hand.

"Hey," he said to her, and she looked at him.

The other students noticed where he went, frowned as they saw the girl, and walked away.

"Better stay away. She might break his bones too."

"Yeah, yeah. Let's leave."

The boys scurried away as they said that.

Julius used the Omniscient Perspective on her, and he frowned as he saw her information.

"Well, at least viewing basic information is okay. She shouldn't have the curse magic now, so that's fine," he thought to himself as he dismissed the screen in front of him.

"The only thing left is to talk to her," Julius thought, putting two and two together, and he frowned as he figured something out.

"Could it be that... she was only curious and followed me... or because of what she loves?" Julius couldn't help but think about it.

Julius looked around with his left eye closed and saw that a knight in red was watching over him, and he smiled.

"You know, I've seen you around quite a bit lately. What's your name?" he said as he looked at the girl.

The girl looked at him and seemed a bit surprised.

"My name is Sera Raphael. And I'm just doing my duties, my lord," she said with a polite tone, and Julius tilted his head as he smiled lightly.

"Duties, huh? Strange how your duties always seem to involve watching me from the shadows," he relaxed against the wall, and Sera couldn't help but frown as she heard his words.

Julius could feel the tension as she didn't respond right away, so he took a step closer, his eyes locked on her.

"I don't think a mere servant could move so silently through the halls. Or carry such... hidden intent."

Sera frowned at this and faced him, her hand moving towards a hidden blade.

Julius raised his hand non-threateningly, stopping her. His calm demeanor disarmed her for a moment.

A few students by the side, who were chatting, noticed Julius and thought he was going to get beaten.

Julius sighed lightly as she still didn't answer him.

"Let's not pretend anymore, Ivana. I know who you are. The real question is... why haven't you made a move yet?"

She seemed surprised as Julius called her real name, and she bit her lower lip, knowing that her cover was blown now.

She still had a grip on the blade behind her back as she watched Julius carefully.

"Hey! If you two have a problem, you should just come out and fight it out," the instructor said as he looked at them, and Ivana let go of her blade and walked away from him.
