A Quest Of Honor

What was honor? What did it truly mean to be a great knight? Weylyn was not certain, as a descendant from a lineage of the kingdom's greatest knights, it seemed Weylyn's destiny was already set in stone. To many, it would seem Weylyn had been dealt a lot of tremendous honor, born into a family with a thousand year history of knighthood, Weylyn possessed natural gifts and great skill and had long already been named among the kingdom's greatest knights. However fate was an interesting thing and when disaster strikes, the fate of the Kinouri Empire rests on it's greatest knight, but of what use was a great knight who had long lost fate in her own kingdom? Weylyn finds herself with a destiny greater than what she had bargained for... With darkness looming and a quest of great consequence long prophesied, Weylyn must chose to either forego past grudges or be the very reason the mission fails and the empire is destroyed. __________________ ~Snippet~ He stared down at her, eyes aflame with his desire for her. Summoned In Old Town (Ch.133)

Garret rode back to the city wall, a look of deep relief on his face. It had taken hours to get up the mountain and fetch his jar of wine from the mountains and so it was already dawn.

In the end, the rains did not come like Garrett predicted and Garrett intended to cast the blame on the soldier who spoke of rain.

Garrett would never have gone to the mountain in such a hurry had it not been for that soldier and now, Garrett could not imagine how furious Owen would be.

Since it was already dawn, the city commander would return to the city wall within the hour and there was no explanation Garrett could give that would calm Owen's rage.

Garrett heaved a sigh as he rode through old town, the town was quiet and this was expected since it was still so early in the day.

Dawn was yet to break and the streets were still engulfed in darkness.

But for some reason, the closer Garrett approached the city wall, he began to feel unsettled.
