A Quest Of Honor

What was honor? What did it truly mean to be a great knight? Weylyn was not certain, as a descendant from a lineage of the kingdom's greatest knights, it seemed Weylyn's destiny was already set in stone. To many, it would seem Weylyn had been dealt a lot of tremendous honor, born into a family with a thousand year history of knighthood, Weylyn possessed natural gifts and great skill and had long already been named among the kingdom's greatest knights. However fate was an interesting thing and when disaster strikes, the fate of the Kinouri Empire rests on it's greatest knight, but of what use was a great knight who had long lost fate in her own kingdom? Weylyn finds herself with a destiny greater than what she had bargained for... With darkness looming and a quest of great consequence long prophesied, Weylyn must chose to either forego past grudges or be the very reason the mission fails and the empire is destroyed. __________________ ~Snippet~ He stared down at her, eyes aflame with his desire for her. Lieutenant Garrett's Home (Ch.135)

"Lieutenant Garrett." Weylyn called the attention of the lieutenant as she stepped out of the inn.

"Before we leave, I will take a look at the barn myself." Weylyn said to the lieutenant.

"The city guards have scoured the area, there is nothing to be found. Do you suspect I have deceived you?" Lieutenant Garrett asked Weylyn uncertainly.

"Not at all, but if someone took away the offerings and that someone was not us, it goes without saying that the dark fiend is not our only concern." Weylyn pointed out the obvious.

"Someone who knows exactly what has occurred in old town is trying to undermine the city guard and cast the blame on us." Kinlor concurred.

"But no one else but the city guard knew of your arrival in old town." Lieutenant Garrett said thoughtfully.

"That is precisely why it is even more concerning. I do not doubt your report, but it is also true that we were the last ones to be seen around the barn."
