Being watched

When Isac was almost done with his work, he heard a knock on his cabin door. It was dinner time and he was pretty sure that almost everyone left. He wondered who it could be. Michael had left early today because he had something to do back at home and it was something urgent. So it couldn't be him. As he was thinking, another knock was heard and then he snapped out of his thoughts. "Come in"

Calista stood by the door. She slightly peeked and looked at Isac. She slightly nodded and came in. Isac certainly did not expect it to be Calista.

"Ms.Calista did you not leave yet?, what can I help you with? " he asked as he saw her walk in.

"Ah yes, I just wanted to complete the paperwork for the day altogether. And I also happened to get an idea so I also put it down. I initially wanted to turn these in tomorrow, but I'm having an important matter to deal with back at home so I don't think I'll be able to come to work tomorrow. I had already sent a note for the day off. So I decided to just turn it in today. " she said as she handed the papers to him.

"Alright. You've worked hard. Since you're taking the day off tomorrow, I'll send the review through email or maybe we can discuss it the next day. "

"Thank you". Calista said and left the cabin.

Isac filed the papers, and prepared to leave the office. He carried a folder which he'll review when he gets back home.

Calista grabbed her coat, arranged her desk and left.

She managed to get in just when the elevator door was about to close. Thankfully she didn't drop anything or injure herself. She saw Isac inside the elevator.

They both stood there in silence until they reached the ground floor. They both got out. And just when Calista was about to leave he spoke "By the way how do you get home?"

He noticed that she was about to walk to the common exit instead of the exit for the parking. He wondered if she used the public transport. And he was right. "I use the public transport" she said and left without another word.

Isac too started walking towards the parking exit when he stopped midway. He felt a strong presence behind him. He turned around but he didn't see anyone.

He definitely felt like someone was watching him ever since he stepped out of the elevator. He shook his head and got into the car and drove away.
