Epilogue
In December, a healthy newborn boy joined our world and let forth a loud cry. The sound of his cries brought everyone to tears the entire day. I laughed and had a dizzying rush of excitement.
Smith peered down at our son through watery eyes. His strong, masculine body was happy. He reached out, caressing the ends of my hair before bending to place a kiss on the forehead of Jonah Christian Mason, our firstborn child. He smiled at me and raised an eyebrow. "Lovely work, my darling."
