Unexplainable Experience

Due to Meery Incident since it was located on that street which the local people like to call Sinner Incident, the gathering had been stopped or postponed in the meantime, advising everyone to stay and return to their residence.

The Justice already announced themselves in the newspapers and articles plastered on the walls of some bars, taverns, and inns that they were doing a sweep clean up on the kingdom to determine the suspect.

The victims, mainly the Garod and Lorance family, have received condolences from the noble and aristocratic families. Cristina became the leader of the two families since there weren't any candidates left and she was the optimal choice. The two united, announcing their joint forces.

All of this happened on the day of the incident and after it.

Stopping myself from reading the newspaper in my front, I glanced at the person delivering meals from the kitchen.

"Klein,"

"Yes, young master?"

"About my request I've given to you, are you done with it?"

"Yes," Klein nodded as he moved to some cabinet, grabbing out a package placed on a box, "This is a telegram you wanted and it's already been registered worldwide. If there's any person you wish to contact, just tell them your contact info and you'll get to send and reply to messages."

"Thanks,"

Klein nodded with a faint smile as he retraced his steps, waiting for my next order.

Yesterday, I asked to meet Freya again but her guard Ian said she was unavailable for a moment and she relayed a message to him, knowing I would definitely report to her.

'Go back to your home for now. Send me the contact info of your telegram and we'll talk things through there. Changes will come in this kingdom and I don't you to be involved. You have my word that people aren't suspicious about you since you have me and my friends backing you, huh.'

Changes… It's probably related to the reformation of the kingdom's nobles and aristocrats and the building of The Association. Of course, this happened in the novel but it would take at least a month before they'll start the operation…

It's been hastened after this incident?

'This…'

My face froze for a moment and my lips curved upwards, 'Isn't this a good thing? My goal is to help this world overcome Anomalies and dissecting the gangs and evil organizations as fast as possible is optimal for us. Along the way, every Ruiner could enhance their strengths since they will be given missions…

'Whoever did this understand they were dealing with. Right, aside from Isaiah and Christopher… the other people hanging in that house weren't noble people. It's more like… they are Saviours. Ma'am Freya isn't saying anything about the incident, making me convince more on my thoughts…

'Sigh, after I get home after a week, I guess many nobles will be stripped of their positions while others ranked up. It should be very interesting… Sadly, there are some matters I needed to do.'

Knock—!

"Come in,"

Taking a glance to the door of the dining hall, Verl presented himself with Isaac on his back and spoke with a gentle tone.

"We're going home. Pack your things and finish everything you needed to do in here."

Finishing my letter I will be giving at Ma'am Freya's and handing it over to Isaac, who had already gone over to her house, I rest my back on the chair and sighed.

"Many things happened in this week and the weeks before that…"

Standing up from my seat, I decided to take a stroll around the kingdom for the last time. I will be coming back here probably when the last arc commenced.

"See you in ten months, I guess…"

Whistling while I have my hands in my pocket, I looked around and can't help but mused, my face turning solemn, 'Why was I thinking of strolling around? Wouldn't it be weird to get out when the official organization even announce to stay back home?'

Immediately deciding to stop my stroll, I planned on heading back to the mansion when suddenly, my attention went adrift at one of the notices which are plastered on one of the boards.

There was an image of a man that appeared blurry at first but due to the air swaying the papers, removing the specks of dust covering the picture entirely, it became clear.

'Wha...'

My eyes constricted on their own as I watch the picture of the man I was familiar with.

'The first man I... killed? What a coincidence—'

---

"Yawn…"

---

Instantaneously, after hearing what seemed to be a yawn from somewhere, my head felt like exploding, giving an intense pain surging left to right.

An indescribable feeling, mixing a pool of blood flowing over my nose, mouth, and ears but I stood motionlessly at my place.

I can't even utter a word.

Crack—!

Just I felt like I was dying, my vision cracked specifically on my front where the picture of the man I killed disappeared, changing my whole perspective.

It left as if it wasn't there in the first place.

I looked all over my body and saw that I was in a good shape.

There wasn't a pool of blood from the ground and every hole on my body didn't overflow with blood.

Every discomfort I felt as if reality was tricking me, was gone.

'What just happen…? I knew everything I witnessed and experienced is real… It's got to be real! What the hell…?'

I tried to voice out my concern even though I was the only one but... no words left it.

I walked back to the duke's mansion, silently packed my things, and quietly isolate myself in my room.

[An Interference Happened!]

[An Interference…!]

[An…!]

Seeing the series of screens weirdly appearing in front of him, Isaac can't help but frown and moved his gaze outside to see if there are problems. If it's receiving the attention of the system, it must be important but it was relatively quiet on the outside.

Right now, he is with duke Verl again just assisting him with the little business he had to do

[Hero, did you feel it?]

He was about to ask a question but weirdly again, it was his system that started it. This was the first time he saw being so proactive in conversing.

'I don't know… I wouldn't be alarmed if it wasn't your system notifications…'

[A terrifying power had appeared here in this kingdom just now… I can't discern what is it for now since it's too sudden but there might be a reason why it came.]

'A terrifying power? I would've noticed it and the other official organization too. Enemy taunting? No, the system wouldn't put its thoughts on those simple matters…'

[Whatever it was, you should be glad that it didn't glance 'Its' attention to this world or else… everything you know will disappear. You wouldn't even know you died.]

'For real? What is it then?! Why aren't you telling me anything?!' Isaac was getting impatient but he didn't let his thoughts appear on his expression, afraid of agitating the duke.

[As I said, I don't know also. Maybe if you experienced it yourself or passed through someone and somewhere in this kingdom you've interacted with and gone into I'll be able to discern what is it.]

'There are some things that you don't even know?'

"We're here, Isaac. Did you pack your things up?"

Waking up to his reverie was Verl calling him in a gentle tone. With a respectful nod, Isaac answered that he did and there was nothing to worry about on his side.

"I see, can you call Noelle for me?

"Yes, sir,"

Landing down on the carriage, Isaac walked inside the manor while greeting the servants and maids along the way. In front of his room, Isaac knocked once as he called.

"Noelle. It's time to go."

He was met with silence.

He did what he had done again and there was finally an answer coming from the other side of the door.

"Yawn… coming…"

It sounded weak.

Creak—!

The door opened and what revealed is the same Noelle who was giving him a faint smile while bringing his package. Giving him space to pass through, Isaac retraced back his steps and let Noelle bring his baggage.

He thought he would get ordered around but he just walked weakly with those bags on his back.

Isaac noticed how weird Noelle was moving but he didn't mind and was about to take another step when suddenly. screens emerged all over the place, subsequently, disappearing a second later.

Those screens appeared glitchy to look at and Isaac didn't how to describe it.

[?!%#%#$]

[*&!@$$#]

[%!@&$!]

[??!@!#$#]

[?!@!@%@]

[*&^%#@!]

There wasn't a single thing he understand from the message the system was trying to relay or why some of the unexplainable texts appeared in the first place or why is the system isn't saying anything on this matter.

As the weird experience keep happening, he felt his head throbbing with unexplainable feelings. He wanted to pull his hair yet stopped doing so.

[%#$!?^]

'What is happening…'

[H&r*!]

'Huh?'

[Hero! Can you see me?!]

'Yes…'

[Oh, good gracious. You've almost been corrupted! Your friend too! Yes, Noelle experienced something horrifying while he was out! The moment you looked at Noelle, 'We' blacked out! In your words, the system short-circuited by the sudden power surge! ]

'What is it this time? Can you explain now?'

['We' grasped something while 'It' tried to corrupt you. 'Our Wall' is obviously impenetrable for the likes of you but that 'existence' is much more powerful than what we've expected. 'It' tried to breach and find us.]

'Noelle… is he all, right?'

[Yes, he's all right. 'We've' helped him. Thankfully, some 'existence' on his side managed to give him some sort of defense mechanism and helped him and we did the rest of the set-ups. Good gracious… why would 'It' try to corrupt Noelle?]

'What is 'it' you are talking about, huh? Tell me something!'

[Sigh, all right, giving you even 'Its' alias might put you in danger once more, so I'll just tell you what everyone above here is calling that 'existence'. It's an alias 'It' known for most of us here and I will be only telling a word but you have to remember, don't speak it outwardly and for safety precautions, in your thoughts as well.]

'…'

Isaac's heart keeps pounding for an unknown reason, yet he was ready to see what it is. It might be important to him hence knowing it in the early stages might be able to help him and even do some research on what really is it.

[The Existence that was trying to corrupt both of you… One of the most terrifying creatures you'll ever know in your life… If you encountered it personally, you have no choice but to surrender to impending death…]

[We call 'It'… Boredom]
