Life on the streets was hell as they had neither a roof over their heads, nor clothes to wear. Many nights they starved and in the mornings, had to beg for food or a few coins.
They were always being ridiculed and chased away by passersby but Skye was determined to stay alive because she had hope of a better future.
One day,Rose fell ill because they had not eaten in two days,Skye was scared her sister would die so she walked around begging people for money or food but no one was kind enough to help.
Being left with no other option, she stole a loaf of bread from a shop and ran away. The owner chased her, calling her a thief and more people joined in the chase.
Feeling dizzy and tired due to starvation, she was soon caught and instead of taking pity on her or at least calling the cops, they did the opposite by not only taking back the loaf of bread but giving her a beating too.
A few rascals only joined in to get the chance to have a touch of her developing feminine features.
She was already bruised, bleeding and on the verge of passing out when a handsome gentleman came along and rebuffed the crowd, threatening to sue the owner of the shop for child abuse.
He paid for the loaf and dismissed the crowd. He took Skye in his arms and gasped upon her face, seeing her imminent beauty even with the filth.
"Please my sister, she's sick. I stole the bread for her, forget about me please go to her. She's the only thing I have left in this world." Skye said in between coughs.
"Slow down, you're badly hurt. Where's she?" He asked. "Beside a warehouse on the alley, please find her." Skye said with the only strength she had left before passing out.

Skye woke up to find herself in a nice, cold, beautifully lit,and spacious bedroom. She was covered with a blanket and had a wet towel on her head. She tried to get up when the nurse stopped her.
"I see you're awake. Please be careful, you were badly hurt and have a high fever." The nurse said turning towards her.
"Where's my sister?" She asked trying to stand up. "Your sister's absolutely fine, she'll be with you soon. You've been out for three days so you should rest." The nurse advised.
