Cooks and Cleaners

Suddenly a shot came from behind her and went right through its head, covering her with its black burning blood and knocking it off the balcony, she gasped in pain as she quickly used a cloth beside her to wipe it off of her, she wiped the blood from the scratch on her cheek away as she glanced back towards the origin of the bullet. " You've finally got here, you sadistic assholes" she said as she turned back towards them with a slight smirk. " Oh come on Rae~ I thought we got over that, it was an honest misunderstanding!" the male with blonde hair answered as he approached her and helped her onto her feet, the man beside him sighed "Cayden, stop messing around, we're at work right now." replied the red haired male as he walked over and set up his stand to immediately start sniping them off the wall one by one like it was nothing.

"Wow, the infamous roach killer is hard at work again" Cayden teased as he sighed and rubbed his neck, approaching Rae and Cole. He pulled out a strangely shaped gun that was covered in wires and batteries "This is the perfect time to test out my new gun! What do you think of it Rae~?? Are you proud?" he said as if fishing for compliments. Rae sighed and glared at him. "Did I not tell you to stop making that stuff? What if one goes wrong? I could lose you two… ugh, just finish the job then we'll talk". Cayden nodded and walked to the edge of the balcony rail and aimed down as a bullet shot down and electrocuted three at once. The shocked creatures soon after fell down burnt to a crisp. Cayden turned back to Rae with a proud grin on his face. She raised a brow and smiled "congrats, you didn't fail for once, don't get so cocky and hurry up, before the remaining get up here" Cayden sighed "there's only like 3 left anyway, just leave them to Donovan" he said while waving his hand at the red haired male in an annoying way to bug him.

Donovan grumbled as he looked up at him and elbowed his arm, looking back down. His expression had quickly changed to a more worried one "uhm.. Cayden, Rae we have a problem. I only see two of them" he said as he finished off the two below them and held his sniper close, watching below the balcony carefully while Cayden looked around the sides of the balcony. Rae headed inside and checked around, as she heard a bang, she turned and saw the scared boy from before in front of the washroom shaking with fear and his knife out. "COLE!!" she yelled out as she quickly ran towards him, the creature inside the room quickly jumped out at the boy as he just stood there in fear, his mouth open but he was unable to scream, he was paralyzed from the fear. Rae took her pistol out and immediately started shooting at the monster, wasting an entire magazine even after it had died.

She stood there breathless as she glared at the boy and ran to him. Rae began to shake his body to bring him back to his senses. "What the hell were you thinking Cole!? You could never fight them even if you wanted to!! Forget the defense and offense team! You'd be better off working with the cooks or cleaners." she said in a worried yet angry tone as she covered her face, even though she herself was full of fear at that moment. Cayden and Donovan ran inside from hearing the gunshots as they quickly headed towards the two. "What happened in-- oh Shi-- I-I mean Shortcake!! What happened to Cole?? Is everyone okay?? Wait is that-- oh no… Rae.. " Cayden said in a worried tone as he rubbed their backs. Donovan walked over and grabbed the creature as he shot it one last time for assurance then carried it into the balcony to get rid of it. Rae got up and walked to the end of the hall to the last room and entered, locking the door behind herself.
