Chapter 2. A fragile creature.

His fierce eyes were directed at the middle aged woman. She didn't have the chance to reply when he signals his men behind him to come in, as they raided the building they were given a direct order, "I was wondering what kind of life he lived considering he ran away with my money, to think he was living so well as a rip off, what a bastard. Search the place." He said, he stood there, his gaze fixated on the woman, she couldn't avert his gaze regardless of how she tried, as those cold, green pupils locked with hers, were frightening her to death.

Crash! Went one of the flower vase as is shattered into pieces, she covered her mouth in horror. "That is the mistress favorite vase, that was gifted to her by her mother before she died." The woman cried. The other staff came running into the building the moment they heard the sound, the moment they found the woman on the floor they rushed to her side, ignoring the numerous men causing havoc in the room.

"Beatrice." They cried, as they helped her up.

"Mother." A teenager, within an age range of fifteen to sixteen did not like what she saw as she ran to her aide, pushing her way through the crowd. "You, what do you want Mr. What did my mother do to you?" She asked, she was no where near scared of the look on his face, at the moment her looks were more threatening, a child with guts is what everyone called her.

"Wait." She stood up, releasing herself from their grasp even after they had helped her and reached for Helios, however the moment she grabbed him by the hand, she was casted aside as he smacked her hand away from his, avoiding contact with her and staring at her with rage, she knew at that moment that skin contact with this man was not allowed. "The master isn't home." She told him. He was glaring at her, of course it was very clear that he didn't trust her, suddenly one of his men came running down, reporting the situation into his ear, only now did he believe in her words.

He leaned in closer as she stepped back in fear, then he stopped walking. "Then were is he?" He questioned.

"The, you see the, well the master, has gone overseas, he hasn't arrived home for two weeks now." She replied to him. Irritated his eyes twitched unconsciously, he walked up to the sofa and sat down comfortably as if he owned the place. More staffs gathered, he beckoned them to come forward but no one dared to move an inch even when being called, so he spoke up.

"As I thought, he's a sly fox after all. Call him up." He stretched forth his hand offering his phone for them to dial the number but nobody took it, their silence was doing a good job pissing him off. "I said call him up dammit." He yelled.

"We can't call him up?" A man said, he looked shady and had mud all over, from the looks of his dressing, he was probably the gardener. He fondled his fingers while playing with his shirt, nervous to speak he was carefully selecting his words, to not further anger the already annoyed Helios.

Helios sat upright, the gardener had no idea that his words pissed Helios off more than any thing that had been said up until now. "And why is that? Is there a problem. Am losing my patience."

They shivered, murmuring amongst themselves on how to please him, the house keeper walked up to him. "Well, we've been trying to reach him but we can't."

He sighed in frustration, rubbing his temples furiously. "Call his daughter over." Tapping his finger on the table, he pushed his phone forward. "Call her." He said once again. His eyes spared no room for thinking, as it's heavy gaze were difficult to ignore.

"But the mistress, she..."

He stood up, this time he walked forward to the crowd and as they stepped back, they felt a chill down there spine. The next minute, he snaps his fingers and his men stepped forward taking over the situation. "I'll ask again, call his daughter."

"No."

"I'll do it." Her daughter spared no second as she grabbed the phone and dialed a number. Her mother looked over at her with surprise, she was not expecting for her to react that way, she knew deep down that calling over the young girl would only bring nothing but trouble.

The phone was place on high speaker, it started ringing, for ten seconds no one answered and the room went silent, they had no idea what they should do, pray she picks up or pray she doesn't and get into serious trouble, just then the ringing ended. A small, gentle and calm voice was heard. "Hello." A female said. "Hello. Is any one there."

As much as they wanted to say something they couldn't, but what bothered them was the fact that Helios silently listened to the soft voice, as if he was drawn to it, he remained quiet and listen in thought, and when the lady stopped speaking, he finally said. "Come over to your fathers house in one hour or your nanny gets it."

"What, hello...." The call was cut short as he hunged up. He sat still for a while, not allowing anyone to leave the room or building. The ticking clock only irritated it as he constantly listended to its sickening ticking. Three hours later, a car drove into the building, slowly it made its stop, a young lady got it. She wore sneakers and baggy clothes stainded with paints as she ran into the building. She threw the door open. "Wait. Am here." She said, heavily panting, as she tried to catch her breath.

Helios was surprised to see how weak the girl looked, compared to him, she has lesser chances of survival if she was starved for a day. He was amazed at the fragile creature right in front of him, her brown hair that was packed up in a bun, and her blue eyes that illuminated in the light. She was rather plain compared to the women he had been surrounded with, but she also felt different. His hand unconsciously reached towards her, but then he stopped. "To think your the daughter of that fox." He said. "What is your name."

"It's Rebecca. Rebecca Reynold." She replied.
