“By the way,” Hawk said as they parted, a short time later. “There’s a police road block back down the highway toward Billings. I think it’s something to do with that plane that crashed. They think someone who worked on it brought a time bomb on board. So be careful and be nice. If you got any more open wine, dump it out now.”
Ryan’s face paled so much they thought he might faint. Nobody knew what might happen, and nobody knew about the set up taking place back in the central offices. “Oh God,” Ryan moaned, his hands clasping his face. “What am I going to do? Everyone will recognize me. Look at me! Nobody looks as good as me!”
Danny and Missy both rolled their eyes and laughed at each other. Then Missy said, “Look, honey, let’s dress you up in my clothes. You can act like a girl for a little while, can’t you?”
“Oh gurl,” Ryan said. “Didn’t I just do the drag show in Las Vegas last month? And the Miss Pokeyerman Contest in New Orleans; honey, I won that last year!”
