A Mark at First Bite

“I am Celeste Luna, the illegitimate daughter of the clan’s Luna.” I barked bitterly, landing gracefully on the ground. “I highly doubt that I am your mate. I am just a nobody. The only way out is a mark from my mate. Thanks for ruining my time off. Go find your real mate.” Walking away from him, he was my mate but he deserved better. Running into the kitchen, my shaking fingers spun my hair up into a bun. Tying an apron around my waist, I set out silver platters. Applying foundation on my face, the red lipstick glided over my lips. Shaking out my nerves, my bloody worn white flats clicked out of the kitchen with a tray of the first appetizers. My breath hitched at the sight of the done up reception hall in the main log cabin of our village, Genovi eyes met mine, confusion twisting his face.

Chapter Seventeen: A Witch of A Vacation

Celeste:

Sitting up, the seagulls screamed as the waves crashed onto the golden sand. Leaping to my feet, my head felt much clearer. The moonlight bathed the sands, a growl rumbling in my stomach. Embarrassment burned my cheeks, strong arms wrapping around my waist. Novi nibbled on my ear, our fight still on my mind. Shame dimmed my eyes, his strong hand spinning me around gracefully. Kissing the top of my head, he sensed that something was wrong. Scarlet rose to my cheeks, his naked muscular body glistening in the moonlight. My worries began to melt away, my fingers dancing up his body. Why was he so irresistible? His messy hair made my thighs rub together, my stomach growling again. Chuckling to himself, disappointment dimmed his face as he threw on a navy dress shirt and gray dress pants. Tossing on a silver vest, his nimble fingers messed with a black tie. Fixing his hair, he passed me a navy silk dress with a sweetheart neckline. Pulling off my dress, his lips brushed my tingling skin. Shivering with pleasure, he slid the other dress over me. Zipping it up, he ran the brush through my hair. Spinning me around in the air, my body slid down his.

"Let's go get some food, then we will play." He promised sensually, running his hand up my thigh. "We have to feed our pups first." Biting my lips, he threw on the matching suit jacket. Placing my arm in the crook of his elbow, he guided me out on the street. Walking into town, the main street was bustling with people. Bowing my head in shame, everyone kept staring at me. My golden eyes and white hair created a vortex of a million eyes watching me, his finger lifting up my chin. Pressing his lips against mine hungrily, the feeling of jealousy danced off of everyone's auras. My heart fluttered, his lips refusing to let me go. Melting into his arms, his hands slid down to my ass. Releasing me from his spell, my breath hitched. How was he such a tease? A five year old brown haired girl ran up to me, a twinkle in her emerald eyes. The childlike wonder in her wide grin made me smile warmly. Getting down to her level, the girl bounced up and down. Her white summer dress floated her tiny body, her fingers playing with her hair.

"How do you get your hair and eyes like that? You are so pretty!" She proclaimed jovially, spinning around. "Mama, did you see the pretty lady?" An embarrassed mother rushed up to us, a nervous grin on her trembling lips. Her frizzy hair was pulled into a dark brown bun, her black summer dress dancing in the evening breeze. Reaching for her child, she was about to scold her when I stopped her.

"You can be a princess like me too. I find your hair so pretty as well, and your eyes make you just unique." I chirped cheerfully, the mother relaxing a bit. "Good princesses behave for their mother's, so be the best princess you can be. Don't worry about her. It just made my day." The mother ran off with the child, a bunch of people running up to us. A myriad of questions rang out around us, most of them were what anime character she was cosplaying. Playing with the hem of my skirt, I answered all of their questions while taking a bunch of pictures with them. A sigh of relief poured from my lips the moment everyone left us alone, the two of us stopping in front of a Chinese restaurant. Making me wait outside, he came out with a brown bag. Walking home proved difficult as people kept asking to take pictures with me, a soft chuckle tumbling from my lips. Collapsing onto the couch, flashing him one of mine real smiles. Melting his heart, a tender blush rose to his cheeks. Turning on the television, a groan poured from her lips. Plating the food, I rubbed the back of my neck.

"We are famous." I announced sarcastically, closing all of the blinds. "We made the news." Running over with our plates of Chinese, a video of me talking with the crowd played over and over again. The blonde haired petite woman in the cheap blue dress smiled falsely behind the news desk, her co-anchor clearly not wanting to work with the attention whore.

"Today a princess graced us with her presence. No one knows her name, but the village came to life today." She informed the locals icily, clearly miffed by her crown being stolen. "Will we see the prince and princess tomorrow? We will see." Passing me a fork, he couldn't hold back anymore. Setting her plate on the coffee table, my trembling fingers unzipped the back of her dress. Ripping off my dress, he was hungry for dessert first. Pulling on his tie, his lips kissed mine lustfully. My heart fluttered, my shaking hands unbuttoning all of his clothes. Ripping them off, our clothes lay scattered all over the floor.

"Will the prince sweep his princess off of her feet, master?" I challenged myself, playing with my tie. "Or will the servant best her master?" A growl rumbled in my throat, his head resting in between his legs. Sucking on my clit, my body writhed under my spell. Sliding his fingers in, they danced over my g-spot. Gripping the couch, a hungry look in my eyes made his thick girth harder. What was his magic spell? Moans exploded from my lips, my dripping turning into a flood. A knock on the door interrupted us, both of us rushing to put our clothes on. Both of us were pissed beyond belief, our fun time was interrupted. Dark energy swirled behind the door, Novi gathering up all of the Chinese. Peeking through the peephole, the news anchor stood proudly on the other side with witches with black cloaks. We had ten seconds before the door would be broken down, the two of us leaping off of the balcony. The sand crunched the moment the blonde haired freak burst through the front door, my eyes looking for a boat. Of course there wasn't a boat, his strong hands pulling me into the cave system. Waiting with bated breath, they ran past the cave of the mouth. Covering my mouth, the two of us were barefoot. The sharp rocks cut into our heels, the witches pouring into the mouth of the cave. Splashing through the water, we skidded to a stop at the dead end. The anchor spun her microphone around, a shrill ring echoed in my ear. Picking up a rock, it jiggled in my palms.

"What do you want?" I demanded hotly, both of our ears bleeding. A cruel grin danced across her perfect painted lips, the cloaked coven members chanting behind her. Novi stepped in front of me, my hands trembling. Golden energy swirled around my arms, her dark eyes glistening with excitement. Water ran underneath my feet, an idea running through my head. Kicking a bunch of water, golden lightning bounced off of my skin. Combining the two of them, the electrified water hit her eyes. Howls of pain exploded from her lips, her fingers clawing at her eyes. Blood poured down her cheek, nausea wracking my stomach. Hot vomit nearly flew up my throat, her shredded eyeballs rolling to my feet. Hugging our food to his chest, her empty eye sockets dripping with tissues and tendons. Taking his hand, we leapt over them, her icy voice bouncing off of the black wet rock.

"We need your magic for a machine to wipe out all of the monsters." She screamed shrilly, feeling the wall for a way out. Ignoring her last statement, the grains of sand filled up the cuts on our heels. Running back towards the house, we leapt back up on the balcony. Benji was going to kill us for the damage in his house, a couple of car keys hung on the wall. The lights flickered, horror widened my eyes. The anchor floated over the home, multiple voices exploding from her lips. Growling rumbled behind us, several different smelling werewolves behind us. Putting my hands up, we couldn't win. The werewolves and witches tied a black iron chain around our waists. Sitting back to back, they all ate our dinner in front of us. A silver blade spun in the werewolves' palms, the witches' face still obscured by heavy black hoods. A single black gem dangled from her neck, her microphone turning into a black crystal wavy dagger. Dread bubbled in my stomach, my mind desperately looking for a way out. A familiar hand caught my attention, Sarah shooting me a thumbs up while no one was looking. Tears welled up in my eyes, my friends really did show up to help.

"Your life force is just what we need to run a machine that will wake up the original werewolf." She gloated gleefully, tilting her head to the right. "Whoever wakes him up gets to control him." Rolling my eyes, it was only common sense to assume that. Sighing deeply, she gauged my reaction to her words. A defiant grin broke on my determined face, sarcastic words sitting on the tip of my tongue.

"Why would the original werewolf follow orders? He has the most freedom of us all." I retorted venomously, watching her shoot daggers from her non-existent eyes. "You have to have the magical level to handle it. Surely you know the legend of the first werewolf, I do have his blood coursing through me. Don't you think dead is better off staying dead, anyways?" Her lips parted to speak, the waves growing bigger. The black masked werewolves sensed what was going on, my fingers still wrapped around the rock in my clammy palm. The water receded from the beach, Novi and I bracing for the tsunami about to hit the house. All of them turned towards the ocean, a large sea wall crashing onto the balcony. Icy ocean water splashed over us, the two of us shivering. Our enemies lay scattered on the floor, Sarah leaping to her feet.

"Did you see that!" She proclaimed proudly, jumping around. "I did that, and it fel-" Collapsing to her knees, everyone else began to stir. Her long dark brown hair clung to her face, her eyes glistening with excitement. The anchorwoman struggled to her feet, her dagger aimed for my head. Flicking my wrist, the rock flew from my hands into her forehead. Water splashed into my face as her body crashed down, the witches chanting their curses louder. Dark energy crushed my body, Novi crying out in pain. Looking back at him, black dyed his veins. Panic coursed through my mind, Sarah sobbing into her palms. Chaos erupted, golden energy dancing up my arm. Rage seethed in my eyes, the gold in my eyes flashing. Shock contorted everyone's face, the chains shattering. Using this much magic hurt something fierce, blood dripping over my lips. A strange pressure built up in my insides, the taste of copper poisoning my taste buds. Coughing up blood, this magic needed to be released. Novi seized next to me, my despair building.

"Kill my enemies!" I shouted furiously, my voice cracking. "Destroy the darkness, and save my friends Sarah, and Novi." Slamming my palms onto the flooded floor, golden energy mixed with the water. Steam curled off of the cloaked figures, the werewolves splashing into the water. Scurrying over to them, the ocean water splashed all over my face as I flipped them over. Taking off their masks, pale faces with black veins gazed numbly into my concerned eyes. A worm squirmed away in their necks, the witches melting into a black ooze. Well, I guess you really kill a witch with water. Chuckling to myself, my eyes fell on her black dagger. Slamming my heels into the weapon, unnatural howls echoed in the watery emptiness. Silence washed over my ears, relief soon following after. The black in all of their veins died down, all of them sitting up. Novi reached for me, the back of my hand covered in my own blood. The werewolves watched me cough up more blood, several different pairs of eyes flashing with concern.

"Are you okay, Celly?" Novi inquired weakly, Sarah quaking violently. "You look like hell." Smiling tiredly, electrical jolts of pain shocking my muscles. I almost certainly used up too much magic, golden lightning bouncing off of my skin. No one could touch me, my powers glitching. Novi wrapped his arms around my shoulders, the lightning not affecting him. Clutching me close to his chest, the lightning stopped abruptly. Weakness plagued my muscles, my exhausted body unable to move. Scooping me up, a pissed off Benji greeted us.

"What the hell happened here?" He growled through gritted teeth, his hair twisted into a ponytail. "Could you not destroy everything you touch? Amelia would k-" A nervous grin danced across his lips, Amelia popping up behind him. The angry look scared us all, her red eyes surveying all of the damage. Shrinking into his shoulder, she peeled me off of him. Her eyebrows twitched furiously, the snarl on her lips softening to the sweetest smile. Holding me in the warmest hug, her hand patted the top of my head. Her black hair tickled my face, teardrops soaking my face. Confusion twisted our faces, Benji stepping back in bitter defeat. Bowing his head, his hand hiding his disdained sneer.

"What would I do if my little sister died!" She cried out in a peppy tone, her embrace causing an increasing soreness all over my body. "This is just a little bit of water. I always wanted to bring the ocean into my home. Although this is not quite what I meant." Wheezing into her chest, Novi stole me back. Tenseness passed between the two of them, the amount of water most certainly not being just a tiny bit of water. More importantly, my heart fluttered at the sound of those words coming from her lips. Did she really consider me her sister? Smiling warmly to myself, Novi motioned for the werewolves to follow him.

"You guys can come with us, and we will get you back to your respected clans. I am sure that they miss you." He groaned tiredly, his loving eyes meeting mine. "I don't want to piss off anyone. We will get you back to health, or just drop you off at home." They all had no choice but to accept our offer, all of us staring at each other awkwardly. The two tallest ones glared bitterly at us, their gray eyes steely as their personality. Shaggy hair hung around their shoulders, the twins clearly uncomfortable in my presence.

"He is Gregory, and I am Declanos." The one leaning forward introduced themselves briskly, a chill freezing his voice. "We are forever in your favor." Clutching his black cloak, guilt dimmed their faces, Gregory refusing to look at me anymore. The others refused to introduce themselves, covering their exhausted faces with their hoods. The brakes screamed the moment we stopped in front of a new clan not far from home. The two of them hopped out with their fellow members while dismay dimmed my eyes as they rushed in. Damn it, I just wanted to make sure that they are okay.
