Chapter 96: Woman From His Past

City Hospital.

Soo Min smiles triumphantly as she wraps some gauze around a little girl's bleeding forehead. Even though it took a lot of convincing, the devil finally gave into her demands.

Who would've thought all it took was a pout and baby eyes to break the vicious man's steel like resolve.

"There. You're all set." Opening the drawer, she grabs a piece of candy before handing it to the little girl. "If you start to feel nauseous or have any headaches, come find me immediately."

The little girl nods with a smile before jumping off the high chair and following her mom out of the check up room.

Placing her hands in her coat pocket, Soo Min sighs before following the mother-daughter duo out.

Most of the critical care patients had been dealt with and the line of victims with minor injuries had significantly lessened in comparison to how it was three hours ago.

Just as she had predicted, the hospital was overwhelmed and there were many callbacks for off-duty staff to return and help out.

Now that the situation was sort of in control, Soo Min finally released a breath of air not realizing she was holding it in all this time.

"Is miss savior finally done with all her heroic deeds?" He asks, leaning against the wall with his ankles crossed, with complete nonchalance although the hint of mockery laced with something more menacing is evident in his tone.

Soo Min flinches for a second as if caught off guard before turning her body to directly face him - that is, the devil himself - lifting her chin.

"My my. I didn't realize I was wasting the highness's time all this while. Pardon me for not catering to your needs while I was saving lives."

He narrows his eyes. "Drop the sarcasm. It doesn't suit you."

"Why? Did it hurt your precious feelings?" Soo Min scoffs.

He stands up, no longer leaning against the wall. Ryan is a tall man, huge compared to Soo Min - even though she is a tall woman herself - but now, he seemed to have gained more height , filling the hospital hallway and her air with his unforgiving presence.

A dark shadow passes through his devilishly handsome face. He stops in front of her, larger than life and scarier, too. "Seems like my words hold no weight anymore."

His fingers travel from her chin to her neck, eliciting shivers and goosebumps. To any outsider it looked like he was about to choke her, but he grips her by the shoulder, his blue eyes darkening by the second.

"Do you want to be punished?"

"What?" Soo Min's lips part at the word. Punished.

"Seems like you'd like that, Hm?"

"N-No." Soo Min whispers, trying to maintain her firmness.

"Oh. But your body seems to say otherwise." A sly sadistic smile plasters to his face as he takes in the view in front of her.

A furious shade of red taints her porcelain skin from her neck above. Her bottom lip is trapped between her teeth, something that she does only when she's flustered.

He leans over until his lips meet the shell of my ear, when his hot breaths tickle my ear and he whispers, "Try talking back again and I'll put you on my lap and spank that defiance out of you. Is that clear, sweetheart?"

Soo Min's head snaps back to stare directly at him as a wicked smirk paints his lips. It made him appear as a villain who had just found his next target.

"You wouldn't dare?" He won't, right?

"But you see that's where you're wrong, sweetheart. I very much would. And, can."

Just when Soo Min was about to say something, a meek voice interrupts her.

"R—Ryan?"

Hearing his name, Ryan turned in the direction of the voice. He pauses, his expression turning grim.

Soo Min follows his field of vision, before her eyes take in the scene in front of her.

A woman dressed in hospital clothes. A slender blond with stunning features and a bombshell body to go with it. Even her sickly pale face doesn't diminish her beauty.

"It's really you." A small smile blooms on her lips.
