Chapter 85: Teenage Love

After informing the waiter of their chosen dishes, the four of them resumed their talk. Well… it was mostly Noah and Mother Song doing the Talking, while the other two just sat there, with Soo Min wanting to bury herself in the graveyard and Ryan's flaming desire to bury her childhood crush.

"Do you have a picture of him?" Mother Song asked to which Noah nodded, before taking out his phone and searching up Kyo on his social media app.

"That's him, now. And if you scroll down you can find a picture of him and Soo Min in high school. They always hung it, so they have a ton of pictures together." Noah informed handing his phone with his screen open to Kyo's account.

Taking his phone, Mother Song zoomed in on his face, before nodding with satisfaction, "He really is a handsome man. Is he a model or something? No. Actually he has the potential to become an idol."

Scrolling down quite a bit, she finally stopped at their high school graduation pictures and beamed. "Oh my goodness! Soo Min, you looked so cute back then too. Ahh, this brings me back to my high school days. But I must say, you stood out as the prettiest in that crowd and I'm not just saying that for the sake of it. You truly do look stunning." Mother Song wholeheartedly praised.

Not making it too obvious, Ryan glanced at the phone from the corner of his eyes and was able to catch a glimpse of Soo Min. "How cute." He said in a low voice only, yet his mother heard that due to sitting right next to him.

"Yes. And not only that, this crush phase of hers lasted for more than two years. So you could say that he was her first love." Noah said.

"First love, huh?" Ryan scoffed.

"Aww. How sweet." Mother Song smiled, whilst pinching her son's arm under the table. "Well, did you ever confess?" She asked Soo Min, with inquisitiveness.

Before Soo Min could answer, Noah beat her to it. "Actually, it was more than that. She got rejected."

Hearing that, Ryan's head shot up.

"You really don't know where to stop do you?" Soo Min facepalmed herself.

"What? It's the truth and it's nothing to be embarrassed by, he was the loser for not seeing your potential." Noah said with a straight face, surprising Soo Min.

"Trying to act like your all grown up, eh?" Soo Min twitched her lips with annoyance, pulling Noah's ear harshly.

"Ow. Ow. Ow—hey stop that!" Noah hissed.

"Tch. You're no fun." Soo Min let go of his ear, but when she looked up, her eyes landed on Mother Song's shocked face.

Coughing dryly to cover her embarrassment, she said calmly, "Please excuse my behavior."

"My daughter-in-law sure is a feisty woman, but I like that." Mother Song softly chucked easing up the pressure building inside Soo Min. "But in all honesty that man really is blind to reject such a beautiful and kind girl like you."

"lt's all in the past, so no hard feelings you know." Soo Min chuckled awkwardly.

For some reason, Ryan felt his heart ache for her even though he should have felt happy that he had one less of a rival to deal with. He suddenly had this strong urge to shred that man's body into pieces.
