…..
The little boy sat outside the operation theater, patiently waiting for Soo Min to finish up.
He followed her around the entire day like a little puppy, as she completed her rounds and even now he was reluctant to leave her and even though, Soo Min asked him to play in the nursery room with the other kids, he forced the nurse to take him to where she was.
"Boy, you sure are a handful." The nurse sighed in defeat as she slumped into the seats that aligned the hallway.
As soon as the red light of the operating room turned off, he quickly jumped out of his seat and ran only to stop two steps before the door.
The automatic doors opened and a young woman stepped up all suited up in a surgical costume. Slowly, removing her mask she crouched down and smiled at the little boy, who's blue eyes shone brightly.
Ruffling his hair playfully, Soo Min said "I heard you've been here all this time, come on let's go get you something to eat."
…..
"Are all the preparations done?" Ryan asked.
"Yes. Boss. Everything has been done accordingly." Assistant Yoon, replied as the two of them strode into the hospital.
"Good. I has to to be perfect." Ryan informed as his eyes landed on Soo Min and the little boy next to her, walking out of one of the hallways.
"Soo Min." Ryan called out as he walked towards her.
Upon hearing her name called, Soo Min turned in his direction, surprised. "What are you doing here?" She asked as he stopped right in front of her.
His gaze softened, making something flutter in her chest. "To pick you up, of course."
"Oh right, I forgot." Soo Min cleared her throat.
The little boy, as if out of nowhere, quickly squeezed between the two of them and clung on to Soo Min's leg protectively.
"Mommy!" He said as he frowned upon Ryan.
The two of them looked at each other shocked, but for different reasons.
"Oh my god! He spoke! He just said something. Little one, come on talk for this big sister again, can you tell me your nam—woah." Soo Min squealed when Ryan pulled her into his chest.
"She's not your mom, she's my wife. And she'll be the mother of our children." Ryan declared possessively, making Soo Min stunned as her face pressed against his beating heart.
The little boy scowled and puffed his chest out arrogantly.
Pulling away from him, Soo Min glared at Ryan before turning back to the little boy. "Are you seriously trying to argue with a three-year-old, Mr. Song? Come on, sweetheart don't listen to him. Let's go get you something to eat."
Soo Min picked him in her arms, and the little boy gave Ryan a smirk, before they walked over to the cafeteria.
Ryan scowled back at the audacious boy, before he too followed them.
