Chapter 68: Feeling Scared

"It's me." Ryan said darkly, before pushing the subordinate into Hyeon Dae Hyun, causing them both to fall on to the ground.

Upon seeing Ryan, Soo Min immediately grabbed a book from nearby and started wacking the two intruders, vigorously.

"Fools! You messed with the wrong girl. Take this! And this! And this!" She yelled whilst hitting them hard with the book.

Ryan grabbed Hyeon Dae Hyun by the collar and immediately threw him into the ground, when he tried to fight him back.

After finishing the subordinate, Soo Min immediately rushed with her book to hit Hyeon Dae Hyun, when her attack was blocked by Ryan.

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Easy there. What's this? I think you should go read this in that corner." Ryan said gesturing her to go to the side and just watch.

Hyeon Dae Hyun and his subordinate immediately stood up, while Ryan was slowly pushing Soo Min to go sit down.

Turning around, Ryan asked taking off his jacket, "Come on. I thought you were a professional. How could you make it so obvious that you were tailing us, huh?"

Tossing her jacket aside, Ryan smirked, "You weren't really trying were you?"

FLASHBACK

When they left the movie theaters, Ryan had noticed a car parked right behind his, and even found the number plate to be strange.

He asked his men to check it out, and realized it was a fake one. He and Assistant Yoon had also noticed them tailing their car as they were driving towards Soo Min's house.

After he had dropped Soo Min back to her house, he had noticed their car parked right outside as he was walking towards his own.

That's when he pretended to have left, but in reality it was only a trap which they perfectly fell right into.

PRESENT

Angered, Hyeon Dae Hyun threw more punches at him, but was no match to Ryan's powerful taekwando moves and bone breaking kicks.

Ryan continued to beat him up, and kneed him in the stomach, before he fell to the ground, along with his hammer.

Turning around, Ryan walked towards Soo Min, asking, "Are you alright?"

To which Soo Min nodded, but then Hyeon Dae Hyun not wanting to give up his last chance, stood up once again and immediately threw his hammer at Soo Min.

When Ryan saw this, he immediately ran towards Soo Min and wrapped his arms securely around her before they dived on to the sofa, and the hammer went flying through the window, just missing them both.

Seeing this as an opportunity to escape, Hyeon Dae Hyun and his subordinate both dashed out of the apartment.

Hugging her tightly, Ryan turned around to look and frowned when he saw those two running away, "Those bastards." Before he immediately got up to run after them, but Soo Min too got up and stopped him.

"Wait! No. Don't go after them." Soo Min said getting up from the sofa, chasing behind Ryan as he rushed towards the door.

"Wait!" Soo Min said grabbing his arm, making him turn to look at her, "I'm scared to be alone, right now."

"But how can we just let them get away." Ryan countered.

"Isn't it obvious why they were here?" Soo Min said trembling.

Ryan turned to look at the door once again, upon hearing that.

Feeling the last ounce of strength leave her body, Soo Min immediately slumped on to the ground.

"Ah."

Ryan promptly knelt down to support her fall.

"Soo Min? What's wrong? Are you okay? Soo Min!" Ryan asked worriedly.
