….
Outside the private ward.
When Soo Min and Olivia arrived, they didn't see Ryan, Noah, or Chang Min anywhere.
"Guess Chang Min was able to distract them long enough for us to get back." Soo Min said to Olivia, who simply shrugged her shoulders.
Just as she reached for the door handle, the door was abruptly opened, causing her to falter inwards and bumping into someone's chest.
Feeling the familiar warmth, she looked up to see the man's face only to find two blue orbs looking at her, but not with the usual gentleness.
This time it was cold and dark. Soo Min gulped the nonexistent lump in her throat before immediately stepping back.
"R—Ryan you're back already? W—Wow, you sure did surprise me." She laughed out of nervousness.
Her eyes glanced to the side to see Noah standing there with his arms crossed, and behind him was her intern, to whom she left this responsibility to.
The poor soul looked so terrified and shook his head at her as if saying 'I tried my best, but they cornered me. Help me, Sunbae!'
"Where did you go?" Ryan asked.
"N—Nowhere." Soo Min averted her eyes from his cold gaze.
'As long as I don't admit to anything. He doesn't have any concrete evidence.' Soo Min mused.
"Oh really?" Ryan asked, but it was less of a question and made it seem like he already had the answer to his question.
"Then, why don't you explain this to me." Ryan said as he handed her his phone, which was open to a video, specifically speaking the hospital parking lot footage, in which it was clearly seen that Olivia and her left the premises.
Her eyes widened when she saw the footage and sighed. Just when she was about to confess to her crimes, she was interrupted.
"This is not Soo Min's fault. I know who must have put the idea of going out to a concert into her head. It's you isn't it, Olivia?" Noah asked, frowning.
"WHAT?" Olivia was taken aback by Noah's accusations.
"What do you mean 'what'? I mean between you and her, I know who loves Han Yu more! What we're you even thinking, Olivia? Soo Min got shot! It's not some minor injury! What if something had happened to her? Would you be responsible?" Noah questioned in a serious tone.
"But I—" Olivia was cut off.
"Noah. Stop it already! Why are telling her all these things? It may have been her idea but I was the one who insisted, not her. I made the plan to sneak out. Everything is on me. So don't blame her. And what injuries are you talking about? I'm fine! I'm the doctor here. I know what I went through, but you guys are the ones making such a big deal!" Soo Min said in a raised voice.
It was so irritating to her. All of this was. She knew exactly what had happened to her, but the more she tried to forget, the more people wouldn't let her. She was done being a patient, and being treated like she was handicapped.
She was an adult, not some little child anymore.
"So you know it's your fault?" Ryan asked.
Soo Min just looked at him angrily, without answering.
The two just of them stood there looking at each other, one was glaring while the other was just waiting for a response.
Being the first to break eye contact, Soo Min squeezed herself inside, limping towards the bed.
When Ryan noticed something wrong with her foot, he promptly walked over and swept her off her feet, startling her.
He carefully placed her on the bed and examined her foot.
Of course, he did not know much about medicine, but even he could tell that she had somehow sprained her foot.
"Silly girl. How can I not be worried when you're always getting yourself hurt?" Ryan softly said.
