Chapter 51: Worried About Her

"Ahhh!" Hyeon Dae Hyun cried out in pain when the bullets hit his arm, causing him to drop the gun that he was holding in his hand.

Ryan turned his to look behind and that was when he saw the police captain that he had met earlier and his entire time standing by the door.

"Are you alright Mr. Song?" Captain Han asked before he continued, "Next time, please let us know beforehand before just rushing in like that. Eric. Anna. I'll leave you two to handcuff these criminals."

The two police officers nodded and immediately followed their captain's instructions.

When Soo Min saw that the police had arrived and that Hyeon Dae Hyun wasn't able to hurt Ryan, she felt somewhat at peace.

But she was still feeling some discomfort from the wound, and started to feel a bit uneasy.

When Ryan felt her move a bit, he quickly turned his attention back to her, and noticed her discomfort.

"Soo Min? Soo Min? What's wrong?" Ryan worridly asked to the woman in his arms.

She was sweating profusely, and her face became paler by the second, before her eyelids became heavier and she lost consciousness.

The Captain immediately called the paramedics, when he saw the unconscious woman lying in Ryan's arms.

Hyeon Dae Hyun resisted the two officers a lot, when they tried to handcuff but his injury prevented him from doing so.

"Soo Min! Ryan! Here me out! I will get back at both of you, don't even think for once I'll let you live in peace." Hyeon Dae Hyun yelled out hysterically, as he was escorted by the two officers out of the room.

But Ryan was too lost in Soo Min's condition, to care about what that man had to say.

As they were in the same hospital, the paramedics soon arrived along with a stretcher. Almost instantly, Ryan scooped Soo Min into his arms and placed her onto the stretcher.

His clothes were covered in her blood. The paramedics promptly left the room. Captain Han walked towards Ryan and said, "We'll be back to get yours and Miss Park's statement. Take care."

Captain Han patted Ryan's shoulder and too left the room.

Ryan immediately took out his phone and called his assistant. "Yoon. Find out everything there is about a guy named Hyeon Dae Hyun. I want a detailed report in an hour."

Outside the Operation Theater.

Mother Song quickly rushed towards Soo Min's operating room, joining Father Park, Ryan, Assistant Yoon, who were waiting opposite to the door.

"How is she?" Mother Song asked with concern.

"We don't know. The surgeon in charge hasn't come out yet." Father Park informed and Mother Song took a seat next to him.

Placing her hand on his shoulder, she comforted, "Don't worry, Jason. She will be just fine. After all, Soo Min's a strong woman."

On the other end, Ryan kept walking back and forth, impatiently waiting to know what was Soo Min's condition.

The scene from before flashed upon his inward eyes, and his body froze.

The red light of the operation room turned off and a man wearing scrubs stepped out of the room.

Everybody's attention quickly turned to the surgeon, who had just come out.

"Doctor. How is my daughter?" Father Park worriedly asked.

"There's nothing to worry about. The patient is out of danger. But since she has lost a lot of blood, it will be a while before she wakes up." The male surgeon informed before he excused himself.

Upon hearing that, everybody sighed of relief.

Turning towards her son, Mother Song said, "Ryan. You too should go get some rest. We'll be here with Soo Min and call you when she wakes up."

"No mom. I'm fine. I'll wait for her here." Ryan refuted.

"Okay, but at least go home and change your clothes. What will Soo Min think if she wakes up to see you looking like that?" Mother Song asked pointing to Ryan's blood stained clothes.

"Alright. But let me know if anything happens." Ryan said before leaving along with Assistant Yoon.
