Chapter 38: The Engagement II

As soon as they walked into the grand party hall, Father Park left with his secretary to go meet Mother Song to make sure everything was going according to plan and greet some guests on the way.

Soo Min and Olivia went over to grab some refreshments but the latter left the bride to be alone when she saying that she spotted someone from their high school.

Stirring her drink around with a long slender bar spoon, Soo Min spaced out feeling bored.

"Feeling bored in your own engagement? Now that's a first." Soo heard a man chuckle from behind, before she turned to see who it was.

"Oh it's just you." Soo Min nonchalantly muttered.

"What? Not happy to see me again?" Noah jested. He was wearing a black and silver mask and a dark black color tuxedo that had some shade of blue mixed in it, making it hard to tel whether it was really a dark blue or black tuxedo.

Soo Min smiled and shook her head. "No it's nothing like that."

"Well... you know your looking quite gorgeous in that dress and with that mask too! It looks great on you." Noah complimented her with a smile.

"Really? Well then, thank you very much Mr. Chan." Soo Min chuckled and gladly accepted his sweet compliment with a smile.

"OMG! Soo Min! Noah!" Olivia exclaimed as she rushed towards them.

Soo Min and Noah both simultaneously turned in the same direction from where their friend called out.

"What happened?" Soo Min asked as she watched her friend, who grabbed a drink from the counter and gulped it down all at once whilst panting.

Placing the drink back down, Olivia said, "There's a dance floor at the center of the party, and there's this super hot DJ too! Everyone's having so much fun over there too!"

"Okay and?" Soo Min questioned with raised eyebrows.

"What do you mean 'AND'? It's your engagement aren't you going to dance too? You are the star of the show tonight!" Olivia stated with folded arms.

"Yeah.... NO! I don't think that's a good idea." Soo Min casually said whilst stirring her drink.

"Um sorry but I didn't give you an option. You are coming with me and that's final!" Olivia firmly stated before she grabbed Soo Min's wrist and practically dragged her towards the dance floor.

"Wait! But—ugh." Soo Min tried to protest but eventually gave up.

"Come on, Noah! You too!" Olivia turned her head towards him and called.

"Be right there!" Noah informed before he too trailed behind them.

At the Dance Floor.

"Excuse me! Coming through." Olivia pushed through the crowd along with Soo Min who reluctantly followed, to get to the center where the dance floor was located.

The music was blasting loudly and people all around the two of them were dancing happily, some of them even had some weird looking moves, but they all looked like they were having a great time.

As soon as they stepped on to the dance floor,

Olivia let go of Soo Min's hand and started dancing to upbeat music.

Turning to her still friend, Olivia commanded, "Come on, Soo Min. Dance!"

Soo Min watched her friend's silly and not-to-the-beat moves, and giggled before she too joined in.

Not too far away from the crowded dance floor, a man dresses in a vibrant navy blue suit with a black and gray mask casually walked towards where the large crowd was gathered to see what was going on.

When Ryan made his way past the crowd and into the front, he was quite surprised to see the scene in front her of him.

It was Soo Min and her friend, they were dancing at the center of the stage. Unlike her friend though, Soo Min danced quite well, much to his surprise.

'So that woman can dance too?' Ryan mused as a small smile spread on his lips.

He watched Olivia whisper something to Soo Min, who nodded and continued to dance, before she (Olivia) took off from the dance floor.

When Soo Min spotted a familiar mask and suit, she quickly approached the man and said, "There you are! Nice try, but you and Olivia dragged me into this, so you have to dance with me too!"

"When did I—" Ryan's words were left unfinished when Soo Min pulled him to the dance floor.
