Chapter 32: Teasing Her Is Fun

Meanwhile at Coffee n' Chill.

The guffaws of a woman echoed throughout the cafe, causing the strangers to search for the source.

Soo Min had long stopped eating and glared icily at her friend, who was laughing uncontrollably ever since she narrated her life's story to her.

"Hahahaha... Ah! I—I'm sorry but the situation you are in is just so funny, that I could not help it. I mean if anyone else heard this they would think you are talking about some female lead in a drama or something. Pfft!" Olivia tried to suppress her laughter.

"This is EXACTLY why I did not plan on telling you." Soo Min rolled her eyes and spelled it out for her friend, loud and clear.

"Okay. Okay. I'll stop." Olivia said, whilst quickly composing herself.

"THANK YOU!" Soo Min sighed and picked up her fork to continue eating her dessert.

But it was not long until Olivia's poker face broke, and the smile tugging her lips soon broke into a grin before she once again bursted into laughter.

"OLIVIA CHO! Will you stop laughing already?!" Soo Min commanded, fuming with embarrassment.

"Fine. Fine I will. But before that can I ask you something?" Olivia stopped laughing and asked.

"What is it?" Soo Min questioned with gritted teeth.

"Well... do you like anyone at our hospital? Ooh that Dr. Nam perhaps? I mean he's always so nice to you." Olivia asked, observing her friend's reaction carefully.

"Of course not! I mean have you even seen me? I barely have time to even go to the bathroom when I'm at work. It's always surgery after surgery. And for your information, Dr. Nam is nice to everyone... not just me!" Soo Min answered before taking a sip of her coffee.

"Okay. Then... do you like CEO Song?" Olivia asked with raised eyebrows.

Almost instantly, Soo Min spat out her coffee and started coughing vigorously.

Olivia was slightly surprised as that was not the reaction she was expecting, but her curiosity perked up before she quickly handed a bottle of water to her friend.

'This is quite interesting.' Olivia inwardly grinned as she watched Soo Min chug down almost half of the bottle.

Slamming the bottle down on the table, Soo Min frowned and yelled, "What part of 'I am trapped in this forced alliance' do you not get?"

"Well... you still did not exactly answer my question." Olivia grunted.

Soo Min's face twitched at her friend's words, while her jaw clenched. "No! I do not like him. Is that enough proof for you now?"

"Yeah right. That man is handsome, rich, young, intelligent and such a capable businessman, and you expect me to believe that you haven't had any romantic feelings for him? Okay then." Olivia teased.

Soo Min was speechless, her friend was literally mocking her misery.

'Ha! OMG I never thought teasing Soo Min would be this funny. Just look at her face, she looks so dumbstruck.'

Just as Soo Min was busy finding words to defend herself, her phone made a 'ping' sound indicating that she had received a message.

She quickly reached inside her bag and took out her phone, before tapping on the notification.

[Dad: Designer Choi is back in the city, and would like to take your measurements for your engagement dress today. Meet us at Flawless Co. at 3 PM.]

Soo Min quickly glanced at the time in her phone, and abruptly stood up, almost startling her friend.

It was already ten minutes till three.

Just when exactly will her dad learn to inform her about things like this beforehand.

"What happened?" Olivia asked.

"My dad wants me to meet him at Flawless Co. to try on dresses for the engagement, so I'll have to leave right now." Soo Min hurriedly informed before asking the waiter for the bill.

Olivia thought for a bit before her lips curled upwards, "Oh I see. Yeah, you should get going or else you will be late."

Whilst paying for their meal, Soo Min turned to Olivia and said, "Sorry about this. I know we were supposed to hangout today but—"

"No. No. Don't be sorry! This is way more important." Olivia interrupted.

Soo Min was a bit surprised by how quickly her friend agreed without arguing back, but decided to shrug it off, and said, "I'll make it up to you some other time."

Olivia nodded and Soo Min smiled before walking over the cafe entrance.

"Have fun with CEO Song." Olivia yelled across the cafe and waved, making Soo Min nearly trip on her way out.
