Chapter 26: Fool The Father-in-law

After responding back, Ryan placed his phone back inside his pocket and turned his attention back to the woman next to him, who was brooding over her failed plan.

He was quite amused at this side of her.

"But how could she not dislike me after that, especially when my own dad was shocked. I could have sworn this was going to work." Soo Min wondered, propping her head on her palm, with a confused look on her face.

Then she turned to look at Ryan who only shrugged in response.

"Whatever. We still have plan B." Soo Min turned to Ryan with a stern look and said, "Make sure you play your part of the plan well!"

Ryan could only give her a weak smile in return. For some reason, his instincts told him that if he failed his part, disappointment would not be the only thing he would be receiving from this woman.

And till this day, his instincts were never wrong!

"Right! Let's go." Soo Min abruptly stood up and said with a look full of determination, all ready to execute the next phase of the plan 'Operation: Fool the Father-in-law' but before she could take another step a deep, husky voice interrupted her from behind.

"Are you sure you want to go out there looking like that?" Ryan asked, with amusement written all over his face.

Soo Min turned around and looked at him with a deep frown. "Why? What's wrong with how I look?"

Ryan shook his head and walked towards Soo Min, closing the distance between them.

"H—Hey what do you think you're doing? Back off, Mister." Soo Min warned with raised hands as if she was ready to take on the man, when she saw Ryan approaching her so quickly and invading her personal space.

She unconsciously froze when she felt Ryan's hands gently wipe the corner of her lips with a napkin.

"Are you dumb? I was trying to get rid of the sauce stain off your face. Here, why don't you just see it for yourself." Ryan nonchalantly informed and slightly raised his hand to show Soo Min the napkin which indeed had the sauce stain on it.

"Oh. Okay." Soo Min snapped out of her daze. For some strange reason, her ears were feeling hot and her heart started to palpitate, as a weird kind of uneasiness coursed throughout herself.

She had no clue what was happening to her, but she definitely did not like the feeling of how fast her heart was beating, as if she had just ran a ten mile marathon.

"Seriously, I mean what did you even think I was going to d—"

"N—NOTHING!"

Without wanting to waste anymore time, Soo Min immediately scurried away to the living room and did not even bother to let Ryan to finish his words.

"Huh... what a weird woman?!" He wondered with raised eyebrows and a baffled look written all over his face.

In the Living Room.

When Ryan walked into the living room, he saw Soo Min casually chatting with Mother Song, while Father Park was busy discussing arrangements with the wedding planner.

No matter who much he tried to grab Soo Min's attention, the latter seemed to be ignoring him for a reason unbeknownst to him.

When Ryan received no response, he took out his phone and sent her a text, before signaling Soo Min to look at her phone.

Instead of the person he wished would pay attention to him, his mother turned to look at him and Ryan instantly scratched his temple awkwardly while pretending to do something on his phone.

Just then, Soo Min reached out to her phone and Ryan's face brightened but what she did next left him bewildered.

She simply turned her phone to 'do not disturb' mode. Was she seriously toying with him right now?!
