Chapter 25: Mysterious Accident

Dining Room.

Mother Song turned to look at her son, but was stunned by the peculiar sight in front of her.

Ryan's eyes brimmed with tears of mirth and the smile tugging his lips soon broke into a grin. Pearls of laughter bursted from deep within.

Mother Song was still in a state of awe as had never seen her son laugh so carefree, forget about laughing, he barely even smiled after the demise of his father and elder brother.

Her eyes then shifted to Soo Min and then back at Ryan again, before a soft smile spread across her lips.

While the atmosphere of this end of the room was joyous and merry, the same could not be said about the person on the other end of the dining room.

A look of great bitterness swept across Soo Min's face, as she glowered at Ryan. Not only did this plan of hers totally backfire, but the man, who was supposedly her partner in this operation, was standing there laughing like some idiot.

Again, her words not mine!

When Ryan felt a pair of dark eyes glaring at him from a distance, he immediately composed himself and cleared his throat.

After they all had their dinner, Father Park and Mother Song walked back into the living room, leaving Soo Min and Ryan all alone.

The wedding planner had just returned back to the country and drove up to the park mansion immediately upon Father Park's request.

Soo Min slammed her fist on the table and yelled, "What the heck? I seriously thought that was going to make me look bad in front of your mom, but she didn't even look bothered and in fact took so it so positively!"

"Well if it makes you feel any better, you did look kinda shabby." Ryan nonchalantly remarked.

"Ha ha ha... very funny." Soo Min snorted and rolled her eyes.

All of a sudden, Ryan felt his phone vibrate and took it out from his pocket.

[Private Investigator Han: none of the villagers recognized this man, but I'll try to ask in nearby villagers too! so far, things do not look too good.]

Ryan closed his eyes shut and heaved a long sigh. He had asked his private investigator to look into the truck driver who was the other party involved during his car accident after finding out that it was not an accident but an intentional attack.

Day of the Accident.

"Where to Young Master?" The driver asked.

"Blue Moon Hotel." Ryan informed.

That day Ryan had actually gone to meet someone, who claimed he had information on his dad and brother's accident. But when he went to meet him, that man was found dead in his hotel room. All that was left there was a note written in blood saying 'We will meet soon.'

Clearly, there was someone who did no want this man (the information provider) to meet Ryan, so he immediately got rid of him.

Ryan was frustrated. Three Years. It had been three years, and he didn't get a single piece of evidence. After that, the police came and asked him a few questions while the forensics team took care of the body.

Later that night, Ryan asked his driver to take him straight home as it was already quite late. On their way home, just as they crossed the intersection was when their car was hit by a truck.

Unfortunately, by the time Soo Min had arrived the driver didn't survive.

The truck that speedily drove towards them just escaped and it was closed as a 'hit and run' case, but Ryan did do a little of his own investigating to dig out the truth.

But it seems like that truck driver disappeared out of nowhere. Right now, he was not going to tell his mom any of this, as he didn't want her to worry.
