Chapter 14: Phone Call

The Next Day.

At Glamour.

Inside the CEO's office, Ryan was busy looking over a few documents, related to the upcoming board meeting.

Due to being forced to stay at the hospital by his mother and 'that' woman, there were a ton of projects and proposals that still needed his consent.

Not to mention, the hard time he had in order to make all those fussy and demanding board members to reach a consensus. Just thinking about it made his head hurt.

Ryan rested his head comfortably on his chair and closed his eyes to calm himself. The kiss scene from yesterday replayed in his head. His eyes immediately shot open.

'What the heck?! She's everywhere! God she's nothing but trouble.' He mused, still fuming with embarrassment. Never in his entire life did he imagine himself in such a situation.

Ryan cursed, extremely annoyed at the discomfort caused by that woman, but was startled when the door was pushed open and Assistant Yoon barged in.

"What is it?" Ryan dryly asked.

"Young Master. The Madam asked me to tell you to pick up her call and that she has something very important to tell you." Assistant Yoon informed, still panting as he rushed back into the CEO's office, as soon as he received the call.

"Tell her I'm busy." Ryan mumbled and focused his attention back to the files in front of him.

His mother had been constantly calling him for a long while now, even before he arrived at the company.

"That damn brat! Yoon, give him the phone right now." Mother Song yelled loudly from the other end, almost causing Assistant Yoon to go completely deaf.

Assistant Yoon handed the phone over to Ryan, who had a deep scowl on his face. Leaving him with no other choice, he accepted the call in a deep and indifferent voice, "What?"

"What? What?! Is that the way you should speak to your mother? You unfilial brat! And how dare you decline my calls, huh?" Mother Song exclaimed.

Due to the volume and intensity of her voice, Ryan had to turn his phone away from him, in order to avoid serious damage to his hearing.

"So what is the important thing you wanted to inform me?" Ryan coldly asked.

"Not even a—'Hello mother.' Or a 'How are you doing mother?' When will you learn to speak the proper way, a son should?! No wonder you don't have a girlfriend yet!" Mother Song hissed. She was so sick and tired of her son's cold and indifferent attitude.

Ryan sat on his chair with that same expressionless face staring blankly at his laptop screen.

"Anyways, I'll be having very important guests coming over tonight, so make sure to be home before 7:00 pm, if you don't want to see my dead face!" Mother Song bellowed.

"Actually Mother I—" Before Ryan could even say anything, his mother had already ended the call.

He then looked up at Assistant Yoon, who had a frightened expression on his face, feeling the sharp daggers being thrown towards him.

"Cancel the dinner meeting with that investment company." Assistant Yoon heard Ryan instruct.

"Right away, Young Master!" After receiving his phone, Assistant Yoon dashed out of there in fear of Ryan's mood changing again, and leading him to face the wrath of his boss!
