Experimentation

Authors note: Guess who's back, back again! Oh, and with another chapter to boot :p

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the words exited my mouth, an aura of repression filled the room as black strings similar to tentacles shot forth from my skeletal hands, finding residence in the mutilated corpse of the Titan Snake. Enveloping the titans body in a ghastly aura as the "tentacles" plunged their way inside the behemoth, sparring no crevasses or opening on the body of the snake. But the processes didn't last long as to my dismay the black strings shot out of the snake as if being repulsed by the being as fast as they had entered. Fortunately I didn't have to wrack my "brain" for long as I soon got my answer, though I suppose you could also say unfortunately as the answer I was given was..let's just say far from satisfactory.

[Level to low to control selected target]

Adding fuel to the fire the remains of the snake turned to charred bones as the meat seemed to have simply vaporized with the only hint it ever being present the ash left as residue. Not being able to tame the snake was already a pretty low blow but was disintegrating it really necessary to? I'm gonna need to give this god a good beating once I'm out, but first things first I'm gonna need to get stronger to fight the cursed bloody god.

Much better, I already feel considerably better then before. Now despite the loss from the snake incident I still need to move on. I guess I should start to make a list of priorities so as to get the important things done first. After a not so insignificant amount of time passed (at least I think it's been a while but it's quite hard to tell the time inside a labyrinth as a skeleton) I'd made a list of all the things I needed to do in order:

1. Get Stronger/test abilities

2. See what's outside the door

At first glance it might not look like much, and well it clearly isn't. I was still quite frustrated about the snake incident so I couldn't quite focus which is why I tried asking the wall for help, it was surprisingly effective in both relieving all the pent up stress from the day I "woke up" here, and at demonstrating the strength of my new body, which is quite the level up from the start. Despite the small list I still intend to follow it through efficiently, so first things first I need to find some victi- willing creatures to test my ability's on.

My search for a willing monsters turned out quite effective as I soon found a rabbit participant who only required a little "persuasion" from one of my tiny emcee weensy curses, which simply weakened the blood flow of the War Rabbits legs, considerably slowing it down. My curses seem to be quite effective on low level monsters as long as I don't use a powerful curse, at least from what I've observed, so trying to use it on let's say the snake from earlier would fail magnificently. Although I don't plan on using my curses if I don't have to as doing so brings..a little discomfort if were going of facial expressions alone.

Not wanting to waste the time of my patient I should probably hurry and try one of the signature fantasy elements of fantasy novels, magics. Closing my eyes I tried to feel my surroundings for mana like they do in the novels, whether it was my luck or Magic Manipulation skill I slowly began to notice small black waves almost in the air. Allowing the black waves to course through my body I imagined a small dark ball no bigger than a fist. To my utter disbelief I actually managed to form a small ball of darkness, as if it were the void itself. Willing the ball to launch itself at the target the small ball of death hurled itself into the waiting rabbit, once the two connected the small ball almost seemed to suck in everything it touched reminding me of the black holes I learned about on earth. As the small ball was "filled" by the rabbit meat it soon dissipated leaving a fist sized hole in the side of the hare, but monster vitality was no joke as the rabbit continued to fight against the curse in an attempt to flee. Pity threatened to overwhelm me despite the suppression as I wasn't a fan of hurting animals heck I felt bad killing NPC's in games, but this had to be done in the name of science.

Releasing the rabbit with my life drain it's torment was ended, it's contributions to science will not be in vain. Well that's enough remorse it's time to get stronger, but I'll have to be more cautious else I meet something worse than that snake dwelling in these tunnels, waiting for a chance to pounce a unsuspecting skeleton for desert. *Shiver* I never want to be in that situation again.

Now that I've tested my abilities I'm confident to say that most monster would be hard pressed to escape me, unless your a big snake..then be my guest. I might've just gotten a new phobia but life waits for no one, not even immortal Death Liches, so I guess it's time to head out.
