Chapter 12

The jungle which we had to pass was quite dangerous. As granny said it was the dark forest and the forest is filled with Morgan's magic. We needed the strength of heart not the strength of body because the jungle had many sources of gold, gems and diamonds. If we are greedy for those treasures, our lives are in a danger. The mysterious creatures were the people who were greedy for the treasures of the jungle. They were converted into mysterious creatures because of Morgan's magic. We had to stay in alert.

Suddenly Lisa said that she saw something shining. So we all went there to see what that was. But I knew that it must be one of the treasures. I was correct it was one of the treasures. A wonderful waterfall filled with gems in different colors. We all were amused by the beauty of it. The water was crystal clear and the colorful gems gave water the rainbow colors. The beauty could not be turned into words. It was unbelievable to see this much beautiful waterfalls in this kind of a jungle.

"Let's leave, it's not good to stay here longer, hope you remember what granny said." said Max and Lisa and I agreed.

We turned our heads to our way. We did not want to see any of the treasures because of the cruel witch's magic can attract us into them and destroy us. Actually she could turn us into statues. It was not easy to reach the mountain. It was surrounded by different types of dangerous places. We had to pass the path with huge rocks. It was filled with stones which were large in size. We had to climb them and after passing the stones the path was not that much difficult to walk. And somehow we finally reached the caves. As granny said now we have to find the dark cave. It was Morgan's cave.

"Which is the dark one?" asked Lisa. We all had the same question. So Max or I was not able to answer her question. We looked around. There were several caves and it was not difficult to find the dark cave. Max was the first to identify the correct cave. My heart started pounding faster and faster. We were closer to the end of the journey. Max Lisa and I knew that we had to be strong and end this. But three of us were a bit scared because if something goes wrong, there's no way to get back home. This is the only chance to save our lives and also the village. We started walking towards the cave slowly. We hided near the entrance of the cave and watched inside of the cave to see what was happening inside. Morgan was standing in front of the fire and there was a figure next to her. A short and thin person was standing with her. It was her slave who lives with Morgan in the caves. But he was not a dangerous one. He was not happy to be the slave of a cruel witch. Although he wanted to stop Morgan's cruel work, he did not have the power to do it.

We were afraid but had a strong determination. Max took the mirrors which granny gave us. But any of us did not know what to do with them. But we were sure that we will figure it out sooner. However this is the chance for us to end this.

"Don't be afraid we can do this!" said Max.

"Yeah we can!" I said although I felt nervous inside of my heart.

We walked inside of the cave slowly and hid behind a wall in the cave. And suddenly Max walked towards Morgan even without telling us to come with him. The book was on my hand I was unable to think what Max was up to. Morgan caught him easily. And she asked whether he came alone or with someone. But it did not seem like Max was about to answer her question. He was afraid and stoned after she caught him. At that time I was unable to decide what to do Lisa was looking at me and she was afraid because she loved her brother a lot. But I could not even move, I was stoned. Then after asking Lisa to stay still I went towards the magical burning fire with the book. Max saw me and he took his mirror out and placed it in front of Morgan's face. She started screaming louder and louder.

"Take it away! Take it away!" she screamed.

"Ha! Never!" said Max bravely.

He was such a brave boy. Morgan sat on the ground as the mirror was burning her face. Then I ran towards the fire and put the book into it. Then it started burning. But Morgan was smiling and she looked at us as if we were strangers. She had a plan in her heart.

"You can never kill me kids! Do you think I am a fool? Haha no way! You've got me wrong." She said. But her eyes were full of fear as I saw. It was not easy to understand what she was up to. Amongst all of these things the book was burning. I felt troubled. Morgan's smile made us feel troubled as well as scared.
