"Let's go get our things and then go look around" said Ajax towards Jerry and Tim.

As the two followed him, Ajax headed inwards towards back into the house where he woke up in and quickly found their things near the door. After that, they left the house and went inwards into the city. From his surroundings, he could tell that the area was not too big. It was about half the size of the human civilization that he had visited before and the place resembled more like a resting and market place. the structures were built from clay and wood. Since it is on the border of the middle and lower boundary, there were constant patrols alongside the tall walls. Ajax saw many different types of humanoid creatures. There were some with pale white skin and sharp pointy ears, short men with large muscular builds, some with a lower body of a horse and the upper body of a human, there were even some that resembles humanoid cat and dog forms.

Ajax was simply astonished by what he saw, there were so many creatures here that was mind blowing as he had never thought that he could see these types of creatures in his life. Although he knew that they existed through the catalogues in the achieve that he read through in Sunset city, he had assumed that he would see more of these creatures when he would go deeper into the forest or visit other cities.

As the three continued to walk and observe the area, Ajax saw a shop that resembles a blacksmith workshop with its sword and armor logo and chose to enter the shop because Jerry's weapon was broken during the clash with the tamed jaguar. He wanted to at least prepare Jerry with weapons and armor before they set out back into the forest and train. Ajax was also hoping to change Tim's style if he could and could already envision his small party and their battle tactics. Since Tim was already used his sword a little, he wanted him to dual wield as that would look pretty OP to his look and have Jerry a fully armored tank and would have him just bash through everything, while he go around looking for opportunities to make finishing strikes and get the exp. As he went through his thoughts, a large grin slowly appeared on his face.

The store he went into was fairly sized place and was as big as a local gas station a person would see in his past life. When the three walked in, you could see various weapons that were made of metal and other types of ore. There were various sets of armor that one could wear was projected on the other side. What made him worry a little was that all of the armor sets were the same size which made him question because all three of them had different builds especially when Jerry would evolve.

"hello customer, do you have any weapons or armor you want to look at" said a young female person with catlike features.

Astonished by the fact that the young female person was speaking in human language, Ajax replied, " sure, can you lead me to any of your good blunt weapons and armor please and possibly your swords too?"

"sure, I'll lead the way" said the young female.

As Ajax followed behind, he took a look at the humanoid person in front of him. She had orangish fur that covered her entire body. Her ears stood up and one side would flicker to the sounds that would linger in their surroundings. She had three long whiskers on either side and had facial features that makes her look cute or adorable. Her tail located at her tailbone was long and would sway as she walked. Her figure looked well-maintained and agile. She had on tan short sleeve shirt and the same color pants with pockets at the waist. Judging from her looks, the catlike creatures are from a tygra clan and the royals of this clan are said to have a more human-like look with their skin and only have a few distinct catlike features that enhances their ability.

" These are the swords and a little further down, you would see the various kinds of blunt weapons. Once you are done looking at the weapons, then I can lead you to the armor sets" said the young female.

"Thanks, I have one question first though. Can everybody here speak the human language?" said Ajax.

"Hmm? Is this your first time here?" replied the young female.

" Yes" said Ajax while scratching his cheek.

" Yes, since the human civilizations are more advance and have greater strength, speaking in the human language is a given".

"Hmm ok thank you. I'll look around now" said Ajax after gaining more of a understanding of the society of this world.

Looking at the various swords, he saw that there were many different sizes of rapiers, longsword, daggers, short sword, etc.

With Tim's style of fighting, he chose to pick out two cutlass swords and would teach Tim how to use it later. Their length was about the length of their short sword and its weight was about 8-10 pounds. Their price seemed fairly decent as it was only around 20 silver coins together. With the wealth that he had gathered from killing the bandits, he had a decent amount of wealth and he would probably find more bandits to rob or see if this place had something like a adventurer guild or something. Then he moved on to the blunt weapons. From there, he saw the various weapons that resembled war hammers, mace, bludgeon, etc. As he looked through he had already saw which weapon he wanted Jerry to carry. He picked out the Bludgeon weapon and it slightly caused his arms to sink. But with his strength, he quickly readjusted his strength and firmly grabbed onto the weapon. It's length was about 5 foot tall and weighed around 70-90 pounds. It was made of strong wooden with some bands of metal wrapped around it with spiked at the end. This weapon was a the same price of the two cutlass swords.

" Here take these." said Ajax as he handed the weapons to the two.

" Two swords? Why did you give me two swords?" said Tim.

" Hmm, I feel like you are better suited for this sort of weapon and style and it could better enhance your strengths now that you have evolved. Don't worry I will teach you how to properly wield it later." replied Ajax knowing full well that he was lying and just wanted to fulfill his own fantasy.

" Thanks Ajax" replied Jerry as he was excited at the look of his new weapon.

Ajax chose to stick to his spear because he felt that it was still usable and he wanted to save a little money for when he needed it.

"Ok, can you show us your armor sets now?" said Ajax as he looked at the young female near them.

"Sure" she replied as she led the three to a different section of the shop.

For the party, besides Jerry, he was thinking about just getting them some light armor as they need to be able to move a little quicker when fighting. For Jerry however, he wanted him to have a armor that was a little bit heavier so that he could not worry so much about taking damage and just go all out.

" Here are the armor sets" said the young female.

" Thank you, I was also wondering why the sets of armor are all around the same size. Surely there are many people here that are smaller and bigger the the sets of armor here" said Ajax as he looked around.

" Sir, the armor here are all embodied with a special gem that can instantly be adjusted with the user's appearance. So, there is no need to worry about the sizes of the armor." replied the young female.

As he heard the answer, he saw that the sets of armor did indeed have a light sapphire colored gem located at the center of the armor sets.

" What would happen if the gem is destroyed" said Ajax.

" For the current environment in this level of beasts and environment, it is nearly indestructible" replied the young female calmly.

" I understand, thank you. We'll be looking around then." said Ajax.

Looking around, Ajax saw many types of armors with different designs. He noticed a light armor that was all black in color with small wind patterns. The set of armor included a helmet, chest piece, arm guards, leg guard, and a pair of light armored boots. Although it was limited in its protection, he still felt like it quite suited him. He found another set of armor for Tim which was similar in designs and coverage. When looking for Jerry's armor, he looked towards the heavy armor section. For this section, the armor that stuck out to him was golden in covered and it was a full body armor. But looking at the price, he knew that it was a little too expensive for him at the moment.

As he continued to look around he noticed a set of armor that was also fully covered and affordable. This armor was a cool silver color and looked very dense and strong. Although this armor may look ordinary, he thought that it was suitable for Jerry as he would usually not mind whatever that was given to him. Finding the three sets of armor for them, he took them down and gave it to Tim and Jerry to wear it.

" We're done, we are ready to pay leave now." said Ajax.

"Okay follow me" replied the young female.

The three followed the young female and went towards the checking out area. The price of everything combined nearly emptied Ajax's money which left him with a few silver coins.

" Thank you and we hope to see you again" said the young female.

" Thanks will do" replied Ajax.

As the three left the store, Ajax said, " Okay, let's go back into the lower boundary of the forest.

Nodding their head in agreement, they soon left the city and began making their way. Wandering aimlessly, Ajax decided that he would complete the sub quest about investigating Jerry's tribe being destroyed.

Ajax took out his map and asked Jerry, " Hey, do you know where your village should be located on this map or what type of beasts attacked your village?"

Hearing Ajax's question, Jerry's face sunk as he remembered the day that his village was being destroyed and the several family members being killed. He replied, " No, it was really chaotic and did not have much time to do anything... wait... I remember there seemed to be something lurking at the back of the beast tide. It looked like a beast with a long trunk with tusks at its sides standing upright... like someone from the mammoth tribe... no wonder... no wonder..."

As Jerry began to explain what he saw, Ajax's face began to sink. Just from the mention of the mammoth tribe, he figured that trouble that it would bring because the mammoth tribe is the strongest beast tribe located in the lower boundary. They were huge beasts filled with wisdom and strength. They had extremely long lives and they were monstrous creatures. From Ajax's knowledge of mammoths, they were the ancestors of the largest land animal on the planet, the elephants. If in this world, beasts can already develop high intelligence gained from consuming the world fruit, then solving this quest would only be more problematic and difficult.

"Why would the mammoth tribe attack your tribe?" asked Ajax.

" Since our two tribes were close to each other, we had multiple disagreements and conflicts. Although the mammoth tribe rely on different sources of food, our tribes in the beginning coexisted peacefully in the beginning. However, we began to expand at a much faster pace and begin to also take over some of their sources of food to feed ourselves. This caused much conflict between our king and theirs. Eventually a large clash occurred, because we outnumbered them, it left a stalemate between the two sides and eventually called a truce. However about a year after, several beast tides began to attack our village bringing it to being destroyed until my father sent me away. My father was the right hand man of our tribe King and told me to run away with the prince but we got separated along the way." explained Jerry tears slowly began to run down his face.

"hmm okay, I understand. Do you remember all of the beasts that went to attack your tribe" said Ajax.

Thinking of all the beasts that attacked his tribe, Jerry wiped away the tears and made a serious expression. " I do, the bear tribe, wolf tribe, tiger tribe, snake tribe. They all took part in attacking my tribe."

" well then we got some training to do. We'll take them out one by one. Come on, since the Bear tribe is the one I am most familiar with and the closest one, we'll start with them first" said Ajax.
