Battle with the Snake King

While traveling through the forest for their next destination, Ajax felt something wrong. Among the strong vines and branches that they were traveling on, he felt that the vines were getting more dense and plentiful. Feeling a sense of danger, Ajax immediately activated his perception skill. When he carefully sensed his surroundings, his expression changed as he was about to call out to him teammates. As he stopped, he grabbed a vine but noticed a little to late as it was a large snake in camouflaged. As he grabbed the camouflaged snake, the snake came outwards biting Ajax aiming at his face.

Grabbing the snake, Ajax yelled out, " careful we are surrounded" and tugged onto the snake with great force and ripped it out of the branch it was tugged on killing it on the spot.

As Ajax had ripped it apart and killing it, in that moment he only had thoughts of killing the snake that was trying to kill him and was now falling onto the ground. He looked quickly around but found no nearby vines in which he could cling onto. If he fell straight down with nothing but his legs, he would surely be injured as he was pretty high up from the ground.

He started falling down in a rapid pace, Ajax had to think of something to do. With a quick thought, he drew out his spear and flung it downwards to where he was falling piercing the spear head into the ground.

As Ajax landed onto the spear end, the spear started to bend at a sharp curve with the tip of the spear end just touching the ground making creaking sounds. It then suddenly launched him back into the air.

" watch out, they're coming down" said Ajax as a sword appeared in his hand.

Looking up, both Tim and Jerry got ready to battle. As they looked up, they both had showed a grimed face as they saw the countless snakes falling down with their fangs facing them hissing at them. Tim pulled out his two swords and started to jump around from branch to branch swinging his arms around to kill as many as he can at the same time trying not to get swarmed from all sides.

Jerry on the other stood at his spot on the branch and just started swinging upwards wreaking havoc wherever his weapons swung. Since he was covered in armor, he did not need to worry much about their bites. Ajax quickly looked at the stats of the snakes that were falling down.

They were vine snakes levels ranging from 5 to 10 with high stat points located in their speed and endurance luckily they were not poisonous.

Flying upwards Ajax began swinging his sword killing as much as possible hoping to reduce their numbers. He grabbed a vine and started swinging on the vine moving onto a branch while killing the vine snakes. With the strength of his group compared to the oncoming snakes, they should be able to handle it.

After a period of time, the vine snakes stopped falling down and a lot of their bodies littered the ground.

Taking a moment to breathe and relax a bit, they grouped together to take care of any injuries. Scanning their bodies for any injuries, there only a few cuts on Tim while Jerry was just slightly exhausted and Ajax came out with no injuries and slightly felt some mental fatigue from using his perception for a long period of time.

After making sure that there were no longer any snakes falling into the ground and he made his way towards the ground to get his spear that was still pierced into the ground.

As he reached for the spear, he felt a tingling sensation at the back of his neck. Feeling this sensation. He immediately took out the spear and turned around to block the attack coming from behind.

'bang'

Ajax was sent flying onto a tree and saw what was clinging onto his spear.

Looking at the snake, it had bright emerald scales and was several meters long and few meters thick. It had two bright red eyes and long fangs. What stood out most from the snake was the brightest green scale located at the top of his skull.

Sensing his spear creaking and showing signs of breaking, he tried to shake of the snake but failed to do so. Instead, the Snake King lifted him off the ground and threw him across the forest breaking down small trees in the process and snapping the spear in half in the process.

Slowly getting off the ground, Tim and Jerry immediately jumped downwards and made their way towards him.

" Are you okay, can you still fight" said Tim as he stared at the Snake King making its way towards them.

Feeling the aching of his body and feeling the warm blood that almost covered and dripped from his body, " I can still fight" said Ajax weakly.

He had almost been killed with that one toss.

All three showed grim faces as this snake was a lot stronger than the three of them combined.

Although he had deactivated his perception skill, he was surprised that the snake still managed to sneak up on him and even escaped the notice of Tim and Jerry who were still on top of the tree recovering from the earlier battle.

As the snake finally reached them, it stood up on its body towering the three of them glaring specifically at Ajax who killed most of his snakes.

Just looking at its stats, Ajax felt like he could not win the battle easily even if he activated his wind enhancement.

"Surround it and try to find a weak point" said Ajax.

Nodding their heads, the two of them went on the two sides of the snake waiting for a chance to attack.

Activating his wind enhancement, Ajax leaped forward with his sword and attacked the snake with great speed. With the increase of speed by 10, he was barely able to keep up with the snake.

Seeing its prey leaping at it, the snake king also chose to attack and lunged toward Ajax ignoring the two at the side.

Seeing its movements, the two also leaped forward attack its side.

'bang' 'cling'

Ajax was once again sent flying, but was more controlled since he actually put more power into it, combined with his speed. The two also struck against the Snake King's side but did not even leave a scratch on it and was sent back a few steps from the collision with the emerald scales.

Ajax leaped off from the tree that he landed on making him go higher than the snake could react to and landed a strong blow to its forehead.

Screaming in pain, Ajax knew that he did some damage as some blood trickled from it, but before he could recover, the snake threw its long tail towards him with speed and he was sent flying again.

'boom'

Ajax sunk into the tree as it began to uproot and fall down.

Continuing this battle like this, Ajax would die sooner rather than later. Ajax slowly got up again with blood dripping from his body and a limped left arm. With his body like this, if he used the night shroud, it will consume all of his energy and will pass out immediately so that skill was not an option in this case.

With his injuries, he had to make a drastic move or else he and everyone else will die. With his past efforts on the two, it would be depressing if he lost the both of them at such an early time in his journey.

With his remaining strength it will be hard to make a stronger hit on the emerald scale located at its forehead.

The snake glared at Ajax with furious eyes as he just struck its weak point.

" I am going to take a chance, after I go in, keep it company for a bit" Said Ajax.

Tim and Jerry showed a confused look when Ajax said 'go in'. Tim was the one who quickly recognize Ajax's plan and thought that this can be the only chance to kill it as the two did not have enough strength to kill it as they couldn't even do damage. Jerry on the other hand was still pondering on what Ajax meant.

" Aim for its forehead, that is its weakness" said Ajax as he saw the Snake King coming at him.

Ajax took a knee with his sword head pointing to the ground. He knelt and bowed his head allowing the snake to swallow him whole.

When the snake saw the knelt ape in front of it, it grew with excitement as it as about to avenge his fallen vine snakes and lunged at him with great speed, opening its mouth wide enough to swallow him in one move.

As Ajax saw the attack from the snake king, as it got closer and closer, he grit his teeth and lunged into the mouth before it can take a bite out of him.

'bang' the snake snake king continue to go forward with its lung and hit a tree in front of him. Becoming slightly dazed at the large upright tree.

Seeing Ajax being swallowed whole, Jerry immediately became enraged and jumped forward attacking the Snake King.

"How dare you" yelled Jerry.

" Damn fool" said Tim as he rushed after Jerry.

Tim has been with Ajax for a longer period of time and knew that Ajax would not die so easily. He also knew that attacking head on, would get them both killed. But Jerry was a little too simple to get this notion.

As Tim ran after Jerry, Jerry had already swung his weapon at the Snake King but the Snake King just glanced at him and swung his tail at him. Sending Jerry flying.

Jerry flew past dozens of trees and was injured in the process. The chest armor that he had received was destroyed in one attack. Jerry quickly got up and lunged at the Snake King once again ignoring his injury.

Running towards the battle, Tim took this chance to attack the scale located on the top of its head and striking it with all of his strength. But it did not do much damage as Ajax did causing him to bounce off slightly. Tim spun in the air making another strike and this time it did do damage.

However, this only enraged the Snake King even more and he swung his tail at Tim, sending him flying. As it was about to lunge at Tim, Jerry appeared before it and swung his weapon with all of his strength upper cutting it and sent it flying.

Then a sudden changed happened. Jerry was beginning his evolution in the middle of the battle.

Jerry felt a painful sensation as his body was beginning to crack. But he ignored it as he only felt more powerful and was still enraged that Ajax who had helped him so much as been swallowed whole.

Time eventually recovered and saw what was happening to Jerry and grew surprised as both he and Ajax required time alone to evolve because of the pain one goes through.

As Jerry began to run at the Snake King with full speed, he began to notice some changes. He was getting larger and bulkier. His arm platting getting tighter, so he shook it off. His bludgeon weapon was a lot lighter than before and felt like he was holding a large stick. He jumped at the Snake King that had quickly recovered and attacked it again with much greater force than before and sent the Snake King flying once again.

This time, the Snake King took some damage but in exchange with getting hit, he had sent out his tail whip and had struck Jerry also sending him flying.

At this time, Jerry felt pain again but it was not as painful. He grew estatic at this new found strength and laughed loudly.

"Again" said Jerry and dashed forward.
