The Gang

"This school is pretty neat, it's actually making me learn something without getting me bored!" Cyrus said while laughing.

Cyrus, Tool, Mary and Yun were currently hanging around outside of the school, it almost looked like a park due to how big it was.

"I forgot we had a lesson.." Tool said sighing while scratching his hair, not remembering anything since he fell asleep when the lesson was neverending.

"That's because your brain isn't concentrating idiot!" Mary responded while gently pinching Tool's cheek, yet he felt a slight pain from it. "Ow ow ow-"

Mary let go, pouting afterwards before leaning close to Tool then speaking in an annoyed tone. "If you got any problems, then talk to me! Got it?!" She said a bit loudly, causing Cyrus to cover Yun's ears since her voice was enough to make a sound wave due to how high it was.

Tool was covering his ears with his fingers as he nodded. "I would appreciate that." Before pulling it out, Mary would look a bit confused before regaining her composure, looking away. "It's to only help you.. You're the representative after all.."

Cyrus couldn't help but lean his elbow on Yun's shoulder as he sighed, watching Tool and Mary talk casually. "I feel something sparking between them.. But Tool's pretty naive to know." He said while shrugging, Yun couldn't help but giggle. "Well he seems like a nice person..."

They said but the tone was a bit hesitant, Yun couldn't help but stare at Tool, noticing something differently, not sure if he was seeing things or if it was real, so he stayed silent. "But I bet he came from a harsh family!" Cyrus would look at Yun and give him a pat on the shoulder.

"You don't wanna know." He said, which made Yun confused about what he was talking about.

The four of them were sitting down on the flat grass, the wind breezing through as they felt a bit chilly. "For a sunny day, it sure has a nice wind." Cyrus said while sighing relief, laying down on the grass.

"Winter should be coming soon, then we'll have a long vacation from school." Mary nodded while yawning, sitting down by using her legs. Immediately, Tool laid down on her lap while yawning, before looking at Mary. "Can I use this real quick?"

He said whilst Mary had a red face, she just punched his head before pouting once again. "Do what you want! Just don't move..."

"Wooo. And what do I do again as the representative?" Tool asked everyone, as Cyrus responded first.

"Probably.. Be in charge of a lot of stuff! Since you're basically like the leader in our classroom so you have to be at the top of the class both in intelligence and power!" Cyrus smiled looking at Tool. While Tool had the opposite look, he felt like dying already since he had the power, but not the brains.

"Can you guys prepare me a grave?" He said before getting smacked on the head by Mary, Cyrus and Yun laughed at the same time.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better, then we could help you." Yun nodded whilst having a gentle smile. "And I can too!" Mary said immediately once she heard Yun offer his help. Tool felt grateful despite still not showing any emotion or happiness in his expression. "I am thankful."

"Oh yeah! Since there's four of us, why not go on a mission?" Cyrus asked everyone, Yun would think about it first before asking another question. "I don't know.. I mean, we mostly have powerhouses, you, and Tool are pretty.. powerful, in your own way. And my magic isn't really.. good to say the least." He chuckled nervously.

"Hah? Are you joking? You have Spirit magic, it's the best one!" Mary said while feeling a bit jealous, both Cyrus and Tool looked at her with a slightly disappointed look, as she looked away.

"I guess.. But I haven't really used it that much, due to me being protected by my parents all the time. But! I do know one move for protection." The three looked at Yun, as he began concentrating his magic on his palm, before it materialized as an arrow.

"This is Pyu, they protect me when I'm in danger." The floating arrow that had a light blue color and was glowing nodded at them.

"That's.. Is that Spirit or Summoning.." Cyrus asked, Tool then answered it immediately. "It is Spirit magic, despite the arrow having a mind of its own. It means that Yun's magic power is strong enough to give it consciousness."

Yun nodded as the arrow disappeared into tiny bits of blue dust. "Mhm! My dad helped me a lot, my mom was busy helping my siblings.. But he was always there for me." Yun nodded, holding his cheeks as he giggled a bit weirdly.

"Sounds like a great dad.." Mary said with a bit of jealousy, as Yun continued. "How strong he is.. How reliable.. He's truly the best father I could ever have.." Mary, Tool and Cyrus now felt a weird aura emitting around Yun, they were giggling non stop while having a blush on their cheeks.

"I'm not even gonna ask.." Cyrus just lets it slide since this is literally how Earth works.

"At this point, I'm glad my father wasn't there.." Mary responded while moving away.

"I'm fatherless." Tool said casually, getting a head pat from Mary, still laying his head on her lap.

"O- Oh! I'm sorry.. I'm just a bit clingy to my father, that's all." Yun laughed while nodding, regaining his composure as he pulls his hands away, forming a gentle, innocent smile.

"Don't know how a parent can make their child be obsessed with them." Cyrus shrugged.

"It's probably because Yun had a rough childhood, and fathers tend to be more caring and protective of their children. Although this one has a problem.. a bad one.." Mary said looking at Yun with disgust.

"Hm?" Yun tilts his head, looking at Mary, a bit confused about what they were talking about.

"Nothing nothing.. Just don't love your father too much." She sighed whilst still rubbing Tool's hair gently.

"...moving on from that! How about we go on a mission? Even though we don't have a healer." Cyrus asked while laughing, having a cheerful smile, they all looked at each other before sighing.

"Well, I might give it a try and level up, probably just to catch up to this idiot." Mary would pinch Tool's ear whilst Yun agreed to go.

"Of course! Me and Pyu will do our best to assist you!" He said while being excited.

"I will make sure none of us get hurt." Tool spoke while nodding, still feeling a sharp pain from his ear since Mary wasn't letting him go.

"Alright! It's settled, we're going on a mission once school is done!" Cyrus stood up while nodding.

"At night time?" Yun asked curiously.

"Yeah! It's perfect to hunt for monsters and to level up, so night time is the best time. Though we also need to be prepared for the worse." Cyrus said, everybody didn't seem against it. As the three nodded in agreement.

"This could be fun." Mary said while smiling, as everyone then began to continue their conversation about when, and where they'll meet up. Since this was going to be their first mission, and Cyrus's first hand experience on being an adventurer. So excitement filled the air around them as they made sure to prepare everything later.

Meanwhile..

A dungeon deep in the forest, surrounded and covered by various monsters inside. As the deepest parts had the stronger ones. But inside, there, stood a monster, who almost looked like human, sitting down on a throne whilst looking at a screen, as it showed Cyrus on it. The mysterious entity smiled, before it spoke.

"I found you."
