"Wait what? So you're telling me we're not the only ones?" Cyrus said, as Bowen previously said that he didn't originate from this world, but from theirs, which is Earth. "Fortunately. Yes, we are not the only ones who had been given new life." He sighed, making Cyrus lean his back against the nearby wall by holding his head, trying to process this whilst having a weird smile. "This is.. a bit relieving to know that I'm not the only one, but a bit disappointing since I thought I was special." He shrugged while making a joke, Bowen lightly laughed before nodding. "Don't worry, I too thought I was the only one. And I assume you met Arc?"
"Yes I did.. He was pretty much willing to give me a new life, and I don't think I had a choice to decline.." Cyrus said while sighing and scratching his head, now remembering that Arc was pretty much forcing him to accept it.
"It's what I experienced as well. He wanted me to experience a new life.. Despite only meeting me for the first time, he is a weird one but I don't sense any bad intentions he has.. But do you know what's going to happen?" This question made Cyrus look at Bowen with a curious and concerned look, shaking his head then raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
Bowen then sighed, crossing his arms near his chest while nodding. "Alright. Let me explain.. So I've met with many other people from our Earth, and most of them have lived here for almost years, decades even. Some investigated what it was like, some explored, some wanted to go back home and some wanted to have fun. This place seemed like a safe haven for all until that one day, when we heard the news from one man, who had the magical ability to foresee the future. He said that many years or decades from now. The Gods may start something that could lead the destruction of many worlds. Including ours.. So mostly all of us wanted to spend time with our loved ones, and most people who didn't have anything to do, began training, practicing, and leveling up for whatever's coming."
Cyrus couldn't believe nor trust what he had heard but, coming from someone who also came from his world, it seemed like he didn't have any choice but to believe it and understand it. "Holy shit.. So something like war?" He asked which Bowen responded. "We're unsure, it could be even worse than war. But we certainly hope it isn't."
"We could only hope it isn't.. Though how many of us from Earth are here?" Cyrus asked while tilting his head, with Bowen then saying. "Oh, so far there's almost 179 of us, me included, and it seems it's now 180 because you're here." He smiled gently, which Cyrus sighed. "It's a lot and not a lot at the same time.. Well I'll make sure to remember your warning." Cyrus said while nodding, before Bowen gave his hand out to him, which he of course accepted and they shook hands. Then Bowen spoke. "Oh and by the way.." Before making a menacing glare. "Do take care of my daughter and don't do anything to hurt her. Are we clear?"
Cyrus felt a bit intimidated and scared as he gulped, nodding quickly. "Crystal clear sir!" Both then let go after the handshake as Bowen then left to do his own thing, whilst Cyrus was walking through a hall, going back to Holly, but he couldn't help but think and talk to himself, remembering what Bowen said. "Something that could lead destruction to all our worlds.. Not just this, but ours from Earth as well. Guess I have to prepare for a few years and to get stronger." He said whilst sighing, before seeing Holly as he waves his hand.
"Oh Cyrus! What did my father do to you? Or what did both of you do?" She asked while holding both his hands as usual, which Cyrus just laughed. "It's nothing don't worry, we just had a guy to guy talk you know?" He smiled which made Holly worry a bit, yet she felt relieved just to see him here, sighing with a nod as she lets go of his hands and regaining her composure. "Phew. Thankfully he didn't do anything bad or harmful to you. Now! Should we keep going? I do wish to reward you from rescuing me the last rime we met." She smiled gently, which made him nod. Holly starting to walk as Cyrus followed from behind her.
They arrived at a luxurious living room that almost felt like a house, due to the size and how big and spacious it was, making Cyrus feel a bit out of place since he hasn't seen something like this, sitting down on a couch which had a soft cushion, making him feel very relaxed. "...jealousy and greed is such a dangerous feeling." He said joking to himself as Holly sat down beside him. "How do you like it so far?" She asked while looking at him, as he responded. "Well, overwhelming, fancy, rich, and many more.. Like come on, this room is big already!" He said while looking around as he sighed. Holly couldn't help but giggle from his reaction, patting him on the head. "There there. Don't be intimidated by my wealth! And also, your reward's being brought here so you only have to wait." She said whilst smiling even more, which made him smile back softly as he nodded, before being asked. "What made you save someone like me back then?"
Cyrus began thinking for a second since he didn't want to say that he was there by accident. "Oh.. I was there since I was exploring the area! Yeah! And I happen to stumble hearing you scream.. So of course my instincts told me to act!" A very convincing answer, yet Holly felt touched and happy that he was there, as if the gods have answered her calls for a saviour. Miraculously. "Thank the gods.. If so, then I shall not ask any more questions." She said smiling happily more than before nodding. As a butler then arrived with a briefcase? Making him wonder how this world got the hands of something like that, then Holly spoke. "Oh here it is! And do not mind the baggage used. It is one of my father's ways to reward someone." Then he remembered that she had a father from his Earth which made even more sense to him. "Oh don't worry I don't mind-"
His sentence was cut off when the butler opened the briefcase to reveal 5 diamond coins inside of it. Getting shocked and stunned to see he had been given almost 5 million in this world's currency. "Wait wait wait hold just a second! Are you really sure you're giving me this much?!" He asked as he looks at the the coins then at Holly. "Why of course! The life you saved is much more valuable than any coin can pay for. So please, do accept it." She said smiling as she nodded. Cyrus couldn't believe it as he sighed in defeat before taking the coins as he hides it inside his pockets. "Well if you insist.."
Meanwhile..
Arc was currently sitting down, still in his white void. Until someone appeared right behind him. "I assume everything's according to plan?" Said by the unknown person, as Arc then turned around and looked at them while chuckling. "I see you're still as strict as ever Colt!" The man now named Colt, sighed before smacking Arc's head. "Ow! You still treat the elderly the same I see.." Arc laughed while rubbing the side of his head, as Colt just clicked his tongue while tapping his foot. "I may look young but do remember I'm one of the oldest Heavenly Gods. I remain my youth the same because I want to." Colt nodded while folding his arms as he kept tapping his foot on the non-existent ground. "You better teach me about that.. Although moving on. So far, the plan has been going smoothly." Arc said as he stood up.
"Good to know and to hear, that's all I needed. Though, the other Gods send you their greetings." Colt said before disappearing from thin air instantly, as Arc sighed, pulling out two mirrors to see Cyrus and Tool. "Two youngsters.. Capable of such power to destroy or to help the world. One wishes to gamble, take risks, and enjoy. While one wishes to know what his existence means. I wonder what the future has for both of you."
In the mirrors, it shows that Cyrus was currently working out inside his room in the inn, doing exercises and more to improve his physical capabilities. While he saw that Tool was doing nothing but practice his magic. As Arc was watching the two do their thing, he sighed before making the mirrors disappear. "Both of you can have the path to do what's right, or one of you can end up being at the wrong.. Life is not fair nor balanced, it is only but a way of escaping what it leads to the end."
