Chapter twenty

Friday finally came and it was a terrible weight off my shoulders. During the past few days, Michael has been relentlessly pursuing me and I have been doing all I could to avoid him.

It got so bad that I couldn't even stalk- I mean follow around, no wait that sounds worse...I wasn't able to see either of the guys I like!

And thanks to that jerk I am seriously Nicholi, Adam and Novel deprived! If this goes on any further I'm gonna end up burying a certain redhead in the middle of nowhere.

Though the week was tough I had a feeling things were going to get worse.

"Clover!"

And that's why.

Sighing out in frustration I looked at Erica with no interest who waved me over to her car, which was equally as bright as her hair might I add. I noticed Yusa had already claimed the front sea a giant grin plastered over her face.

Uninterested but with no other choice I reluctantly made my way towards the bright red car.

"What took you so long?"

Asked an excited Yusa while I climbed in the back.

"Oh, you know just crying my eyes out in the bathroom. Nothing much"

She turned around in her seat and gave me a weirded-out look and I simply shrugged my shoulders at her.

"Wha-"

Her sentence was cut off by Erica yelling for Somila to enter. Once the shy emo girl did she looked into her rearview mirror.

"Okay, guys are you ready for a fantastic weekend? It's gonna be one for the books"

She enthusiastically exclaimed. Yusa responded with an equally excited "Whoop" while Somila simply gave a grin. I on the other hand was not looking forward to this at all. I mean I had plans, very important plans.

Now, do they involve tailing Adam for two consecutive days without sleep? Yes, they do but with good intentions.

"Okay, so we'll do the sleepover at my house since the parents are out for the next three days. Somila you got the snacks?"

"Yeah, it's all set and ready. I have a huge duffle bag stuffed with nothing but junk food."

"Great! Yusa, movies?"

"Ready for watching. I got three new teenage comedies and two highly recommended horror movies. Rented them a few days ago on Netflix, on your account obviously"

"I will not fight that since it's my fault for giving you free rein."

"Great!"

She grinned unremorseful at what she did.

Wait, sleepover? Movies? Snacks?

What is going on here? Why wasn't I informed that I was being dragged to a sleepover with three psychotic girls, one being crazier than the rest?

"Wait, what are you guys talking about? What sleepover?"

I asked scootching in between the front seats.

"This sleepover of course!"

Erica answered as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Well, guess what it wasn't! I'm hella confused I never agreed to this!

"I didn't know we were having a sleepover though"

"What are you talking about, I sent you a text days ago"

What is this red witch talking about? Pulling out my phone I scrambled to my notifications.

I didn't get any tex- oh here it is. Yeap she was right. Guess I was too busy avoiding Michael to notice my phone beeping.

"Ah, well I didn't see it."

"Well, that's your own dumb fault"

Yusa replied with an attitude, I glared at her through the rearview mirror. She smirked at me and I flipped her off.

"And in any case, I can't go now since I didn't tell my mom in advance and Lord knows she'll skin me alive."

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that. I thought you might have forgotten or something like this could happen, so I called her and asked for you to sleep at my place."

"Wait, what? How the heck did you even get my mom's phone number?"

"She's in the same cooking class as my mom. When I went with my mom one time I recognized her since you two kinda look alike and so things happened and I got her permission."

"And she agreed, just like that?"

I was hella confused. That woman agreed to give her child off to a bunch of strangers. Like it was a normal thing to do.

"Yeah, in fact, she was really happy. She kept going on about how happy she is that her daughter isn't lonely and friendless anymore. Kept crying about it too"

"Oh my gosh!"

Falling back in my seat I rolled my eyes at the sentence.

"I keep telling her I'm not lonely though. Jeez!"

Scoffing at the comment Yusa turned in her seat and said with a smirk on

"I don't know about that. I mean when we first met you it didn't seem like you had any friends, which you didn't."

"Just 'cause I don't have friends doesn't necessarily mean I'm lonely"

"I beg to differ"

I glared at her as she gave me a smug look.

"You're not even making sense. You guys were the ones who forced me into your cult disguised as a friendship group. If anything it seemed like you were the desperate ones."

"Ah, so you admit you were desperate."

"What, no!"

"Yes, yes you are! You admitted it!"

"No, I didn't! I'm not desperate, I never was!"

"Yeah, right. Like I'd ever believe a denial like that."

What was with this chick always finding the right buttons and just pushing them?

"Yuserine, I have no energy to be fighting with an evil demon such as yourself"

"The hell did you just call me?"

I smirked at her and slowly repeated the sentence.

"You seriously wanna die?"

She questioned with a brow raised, which just made my smirk wider.

"Is that a threat or a promise?"

"Wanna find out?"

"Bring it bitch"

Like lightning, she unbuckled her seatbelt and came flying at me. I pulled on her hair and began hitting her back.

"Guys, stop fighting. I really don't get why you both dislike each other so much"

Somila screamed at the two of us. But we didn't listen, not like we cared.

Yusa's body was only halfway in the back giving me an advantage.

While we were preoccupied with our little battle Yusa's legs were flailing around, bumping into Erica who was driving. The car began swerving uncontrollably across the road as Erica began pushing the legs away from her face.

"Oh my gosh, we're gonna die!"

Somila screamed in a panic as Erica lost control of the car. Yusa and I continued our quarrel not once noticing the chaos happening around us.

It was then that Somila grabbed onto one of my arms in fright and held on for dear life. With one arm out of service, Yusa gained the upper hand and began her aggressive assault.

This just made Erica lose more control of the car.

"Somila, let me go!"

I yelled trying to pull my arm out of her grip but to no avail. She had an iron grip and was not letting go any time soon.

"No! I don't wanna die!"

Is this chick mental? I'm gonna die from being beaten alive here.

"Somila, seriously let go!"

"No!"

"Somila, if you don't let go right now I'm gonna-"

"That's it!"

Violently turning the wheel, the car swerved to the side making Yusa fall back into her seat and Somila crash landing into my side.

With an abrupt stop, my shoulder collided with the door. Looking forward I saw Yusa hit her head against the glass window. The action made me smile in satisfaction.

Take that you evil spawn!

Okay, so now that that is over what is with this bone-chilling feeling I'm getting?

"Everyone, out. Now."

Oh, she sounded mad. Not asking questions, we all scrambled out of our seats and stood in a straight line outside the car. I felt like I was in a military camp.

Slamming the driver's door shut, Erica stomped her way to the side. She stood before us, arms crossed and scowling hard at Yusa and me.

"What the heck is wrong with you two? Can't you go one day without trying to rip each other's throats out? I mean seriously we almost crashed and died because you keep fighting like little children! I swear I'm gonna end up throwing you out of the car if this keeps going!"

"But-"

"I'm not finished!"

I immediately shut my mouth and looked to the ground.

"Yusa, you little demon child. Can't you stop teasing Clover already?"

Ha! So I'm not the only one who sees her for the evil incarnate she is!

"She is just like you and is equally evil"

Hey! I beg to differ.

"There's a reason why you two keep clashing heads and it's because you are exactly alike."

What? I'm nothing like that evil spawn.

Giving her a side glance I could see she equally felt the same about me, but neither one of us was gonna verbalise it. We didn't need to get our heads chewed off.

"So, what's it gonna be? Set aside your differences and be good friends, or continue your fight and get thrown out of a moving car?"

"I mean, I could probably survive the fall. A few scratches here and there but I mean it'll heal, right?"

Giving me a look that made me think twice about my words I gulped in fear at the red head. Probably should have kept my mouth shut.

"Sorry"

Apologizing with a low voice, I looked back to the ground. She sighed in frustration and rubbed her temples in anger.

"You both are a headache"

I know, which is why I don't get you wanting to be friends with me! Is what I'd say but I do not wish to die just yet.

"Okay, from now on we can at least try to put our differences aside. What do you think?"

Yusa said looking over at me with a blank face. I gave her the same look and with a flat tone, I reluctantly agreed.

"Fine, there's no other choice. I'm sure if I ignore her for the most part we can get along well."

She rolled her eyes at the comment and I smirked at the fact that she couldn't retaliate. Wouldn't want Erica to murder us after all.

"Okay, now that that's settled everyone back in the car. Som you're with me in the front. Clover and Yusa you'll take the back."

"But-"

"And if I hear any complaints or you two fighting, I'll drop you off in the middle of the desert and make you walk back home."

The seriousness in her voice did not lie and that shut us up for good. Nodding our heads in silence we followed the two girls and entered the car.

Remind me never to test that girl. Ever!
