Unfinished Business
…when my driver was taking me there, I happened to notice that my father's car was similar to the car that tailed Brittany and me the other day. It made no sense because my father normally preferred big cars and I had not noticed him drive that car before.
"Nice car," I said to him when he pulled up beside me.
"Yeah, it has been around for a while"
I nodded in response. We were seated at the back of the restaurant with a view of the busy streets. The waiter served what my father ordered for both of us.
"What do you want to talk about"
As much as the food was delicious and the setting was calming, I needed my father to address his reasons for lunch.
"Margaret told me some things," he said in response.
