Ghost Lady

Realization struck her head. "How can it be possible? I thought he was joking. My heart, heart…. it's beating normally. No way, are you the chosen one?"

The old lady looked at Severus with an unfathomable gaze.

"Nice. Now I can die in peace. Take this book with you and leave this place otherwise you would be cursed", the old lady informed him.

Severus was confused. He didn't know why but he felt a bad omen coming and before he could say anything Noworry screamed [Run Severus. Run]

[We are in grave danger. If you don't run right now, you and I both will die here today. Run, leave this damn house. You didn't know but from the time we entered inside this house, I felt evil energy from here. This house and that lady both are cursed, Severus]

Noworry said everything in one go.

Blood drained from Severus' face.

"Holy Shit. What are you saying Noworry?"

"It can't be true" Severus denied it.

[Can't be true you're a**. Take a good look at her and then tell me, it can't be true] Noworry shouted.

True enough. When Severus turned back, he didn't see a calm composed old lady instead he saw a woman. She was beautiful but she looked dead. Her face was pale white whereas her hair was inky black. The old lady who was transformed into a ghost was now smirking.

"HELLO, MY BELOVED SEVERUS", she affectionately called him.

Severus got goosebumps from it.

"Forgive me noworry!!!!!!!!!!!"

Severus took a defensive position and joined his hands. He started chanting a spell. Blue runes swirled around him. Jane, who was now a ghost, smirked," Lad how old are you? Do you think you can win against me? Dream on!"

With this said she started approaching Severus but as soon as she tried to touch him the blue runes which swirled defended Severus and sent Jane flying a few meters away. A loud shriek came from her mouth and she groaned in pain

"Now noworry run" and with that Severus ran out of the house with his whole might.

He didn't look back not even for once and the loud shrieked never stopped. After they both ran to a safe distance, Severus took a turn and noticed that the whole house was now burning but to his surprise, the flames weren't yellow or orange, nor were they producing any heat, but they were blue. Dark blue flames engulfed the house and in between the flames, a thin figure was seen screaming. Jane was shouting and howling in pain. Amidst of all the flames, she noticed Severus' presence. Her eyes met him.

Noworry blood turned cold after watching the whole incident with his eyes. A Never seen panic was seen in his eyes and for a few seconds, his mind went blank.

[S…. Sev…. res…. Severus. Why? Why did you do it?] noworry asked in a shaken voice.

Severus appeared confused but there were no traces of fear. In a low voice he asked," Hmmmmm. Did what?"

Noworry gulped and tried hard to form sentences. [You, you…. Why did you turn around? Leave it. Even if you turned around why the heck did you make eye contact with an evil spirit? Are you so keen to die? Have no one ever told you, not to make eye contact with an evil spirit?] Noworry asked in frustration.

"No. No one told m ever to not to", Severus replied calmly.

Noworry [....]

Noworry was speechless. What can he even expect from Severus?

[Are you okay lad?]

A warm feeling surged in Severus' heart. For the first time in his two lifetimes, someone had actually cared for him. This genuine concern truly touched Severus' heart. He didn't reply and just nodded his head in acknowledgment of whatever noworry was saying.

When noworry noticed Severus' expressions his heart ached. He lost all the anger which was pent up inside him and just snuggled close to Severus' head.

[Punk from next time onwards just listen to me. Okay?] Noworry asked kindly.

A smile appeared on Severus' face and he enthusiastically nodded his head.

[Now let's head back. I have several questions for you Severus]

"Okay"

Severus started walking with noworry perched on his shoulder. Severus was walking through the woods when suddenly his hand brushed against a tree trunk. The tree that was touched by Severus was a desolate tree. With no leaves on it, only the dry branches could be seen. It was a gigantic tree but without any leaves. It truly gave a gloomy vibe.

Severus instantly removed his hand. He just encountered an evil ghost, and his experience was not too good. He didn't want to experience another encounter with ghosts. However, he was too late. Just as he started walking again, green orbs started flowing in the air.

Severus was awestruck with it however noworry kept his vigil.

"What the hell!! Not again", Severus cursed.

[Shut up! It's not an evil ghost. I can sense energy. It's a tragic ghost vibe] Noworry spoke.

"A ghost is a ghost, no matter whether it's tragic or evil. I just don't want another encounter with them", Severus argued.

Noworry gave him a side eye.

Noworry felt that it was bothersome to argue with a child so instead, he just kept quiet while examining his surroundings.

Severus saw that Noworry was not speaking so he too kept his mouth shut.

The green orbs took a shape and a figure of a girl appeared. The girl had long hair reaching to her waist which was brown in color. She wasn't a stunning beauty but had her own charms, but Severus was least interested in girls, much less ghost females.

"Sigh, a ghost again and that too a girl", Severus spoke with a sigh.

The ghost just smiled at his comments.

"Speak. Why are you here? Do you also want to kill me?"

The ghost frowned after Severus' answer and quickly shook her head in denial. Severus felt weird or to be specific this ghost was acting weird.

"I am here to thank you", the ghost spoke mildly.

Severus frowned and spoke," Thanks? What did I do? I don't know you. Perhaps you have mistaken me for someone else"

The ghost again shook her head.

"No, no I want to thank you only."

"EH! Thanks. But for what?", Severus was truly puzzled. He glanced at noworry for some hints but that arrogant bird just shrugged his wings.

Severus"...."

Damn!!!!!! You only know how to scold me. Severus bashed noworry in his mind.

"You killed the evil spirit. Thank you very much", the ghost girl said humbly.
