Chapter 18

The next morning the plan went into effect the guard opened the door to let me out claiming I wanted to get fresh air.

"Alright but don't you try anything we got guns watching everything."he said

"Why dont you come with me then we'll make it a date."I said

"Mine is Lidia what's yours you barely talk."I asked

"Lincoln."he said

He wore white. With grey slacks and grey gloves. "You always wear white?"I asked curious

I noticed he wore a semiautomatic gun on a strap.

"Except on my days off."he said

We walked up a flight of stairs and out floor 1.

We walked to a guarded door and he had us buzzed through.

"Just be careful."the guard said.

We walked outside I noticed a guard up in a tower the guard looked at me briefly. I lifted my hand in signal.

"A bit bright?" Lincoln asked

"Yes a bit brighter than the lights in the basement where you seem to be keeping me.

"Here use these."he said giving me a pair of glasses

"Thanks when will I get out? I somehow feel I am going to be held longer than two days."I said

"I cant discuss that."he said

I grabbed his arm and started walking I also viewed my surroundings. A fence I can eaisly jump a gun I could use easily. My vampire side craved for a bite of flesh.

I walked to the side of the building with shade. Still in arms with Lincoln.

I see cans.

"Can I do target practice?"I asked taking off my glasses in the shade

"And scare everyone half to death with my semi you have some guts."he said laughing at me.

"Then he pulled a pistol from his back pants. Use this."he said

"Set them up."I smiled

"They'll have my job for this."he said

"I am a hunter a bounty hunter you can always team up with me."I said

"Me be a bounty hunter?"he asked

Easy mark. I smiled

"Yes I can show you how to use what I use."I said

"What you use? Your body to ensnare the enemy?"he asked

Got him I thought to myself.

"You wanting something from me Lincoln?"I asked I pulled a dagger from his pocket. And threw it at the wood that they use. The sharp blade came down.

I smiled "Deadset every time!" Then I pulled him in for a kiss and kissed him deeply.

"Okay I'll change sides." And I will grab your dagger for you after I set those cans up. Just dont go shooting till I get back."he said

"On my honor I swear."I said putting the gun behind my back." I stood there with it behind my back until the guard was right beside me again.

"Okay fire away." He said

"My pleasure."I said and pulled the gun out and checked to make sure safety was off then pointhed with both hands on the gun aiming I took a breath and let it out slowly and fired as i let out.. Then shot fire after fire hitting all the cans.

That attracted company though because all guards and staff workers came running out of the building to where we was. Even the guards in the towers came running out of the towers.

"What are you doing Lincoln?"the warden asked I took the gun that was strapped to him and shot every last guard. Even the warden they never had a chance to reach for their guns.

A bunch of bodies laid on the ground dead. I walked inside and with the pistol I had I shot the keypad on the gate and opened the gate. Then I went into the computer room and opened all gates. Then I ran up the stairwell all the way to the top. Barry was waiting up there.

I started opening the doors and letting everyone out the whole building was being evacuated. "Okay there all out." He said

"Lets blow this place then."I said shooting the flame ball up in the ceiling to activate the sprinklers then ran down the stairs Barry following me. He shot the pipes then jumped on the rails I picked up speed using my vampire speed but wasn't quick enough to floor under me gave out I fell a few stories the got up and jumped the rails and fell the last few flights of stairs.

Landed on my feet which hurt needless to say. Barry slid to a stop..

"Took you long enough."I said

"You good?" He asked

"Just gonna be a bit bruiesed lets get out of here the bulding is gonna blow."I said

When we got outside where I left Lincoln. I walked around the building and got into the tank and switched to missle and aimed at the building. I pressed the red button and shot the building it exploded on contact. I saw many people running like jackrabbits. I climbed out and saw a few nuns.

"Sorry sisters but the bulding was condemned."I said

"No apologies needed we knew the operation that was held. We thank you for what you did." The preacher said him and the sisters dispersed.

Lincoln came up. "Now what?"

"We go our separate ways I will meet you at this address later I have things to do." I said giving him a paper with an address five miles away in the city where we stay with uncle Dean.

"Okay see you then." He said

Barry came up. "Hopefully I'll see you around."he said

"I'll run into you eventually just stay out of trouble if you can."I said

We went our own way I walked down to the store and entered the building started walking around picking groceries and sticking them in my cart. Two robbers came in and I snapped and vamped out. I was snapped out of it by Gary shaking me. I vamped out on him attacking him.

Needles to say I lost..

"You have gone psycho."he said

"You have no right to tell me what to do or what to feel if I havent vamped out on those two robbers then the store would have been damaged. "I said

"You cant just go vampire on people and you cant be destroying buildings Lidia."Gary yelled at me

"Since when did you become my master or become caring in how I act? Huh Gary because I can be a vampire if I want you dont know how I feel."I shouted back

"You almost ran innocent nuns down and you destroyed a building and Almost destroyed a nunnery. You took a pillar of their church out. And I had to break you out of that place you destroyed."Gary yelled back.

"Those people was kidnapping people against their will falsely accused of being crazy and making them drugged so they could make them into weapons I did what was necessary." I said kicking things on the ground in the grocery store

"Lidia you almost killed them would have if I hadn't yanked you off them."he yelled back

"Dont yell at me for one nibble. I'm hungry! And keep pushing me I'll vamp on you."I yelled back

"You was pounding on the female. And hunger doesnt have anything to do with it. And you cant vamp out on me because you love me deep down. You know it."Gary said

"No I dont I dont love anyone and let me back on those two robbers I am hungry. "I said stepping toward the male robber standing up.

"No go to the diner and get food you can have blood later I'll kill a deer."he said in a low voice and handed me cash.

I took the cash and started walking away but he grabbed my arm and whirled me around.. He smelled like pine. I inhaled deeply. Then I let it out. "I promise"I said in a low voice.

He kissed me. "You love me like I love you."he whispered. Then kissed me again before releasing me. I walked out the store and down the street to the diner.
